The supporters, who accompanied Tinubu to the venue to receive his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, almost caused a stampede when the surging crowd rudely forced their way into the hall.


The security operatives had prevented many of them who were not officially invited from gaining access to the hall due to the limited number of seats.

It was at that point that the crowd forcibly shoved the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) manning the gate, overpowered them and trooped into the hall.

The situation led to the breaking of the door of the building. Many people lost their mobile phones, shoes and wristwatches in the process.


Many dignitaries including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, were also caught up in the melee as they struggled to gain entrance into the hall.

You are just beating around the goal post. Ojukwu is a national leader and he had a party that won some few states in the East before now. He contested against Obasanjo a Yoruba Man and he lost woefully. But here you are still saying this and that.

They don't vote Yoruba,but they voted Yoruba not once,but twice and even voted against their own Igbo Man that was VP to Buhari. I mean if Buhari had entered it was a pathway to having an Igbo presidency

All Nigeria tribe voted Awolowo in 1999 and that is because PDP is their party and AD is just Yoruba dominated then.

Also, Igbo do not have a strong candidate compared to the Falae/OBJ candidates so they know that their best bet is to deliver OBJ.

Anytime Igbo have a pro-Igbo strong third force, they vote the tribalist way. They did that in 1979 & 1983 for Azikiwe where they voted him massively against a more better Awolowo.

But they voted for a Yoruba Man Obasanjo against their own son, An Ojukwu. The most revered Igbo Man is Ojukwu,He contested against Obasanjo in 2023 and he lost galantly. The party APGA was created by him which is still popular till date in the SE. He did not win.

So why did they vote a Yoruba against Ojukwu? Ojukwu that is still revered till tomorrow. Let's agree 1999 was because of it was two Yoruba Men on the ballot. 2003 nko?

Infact Buhari was using an Igbo Man as VP every time he contested, from okadigbo to ume ezeoke, yet in 2003,they still voted an Obasanjo as against an Ojukwu and an Okadigbo that was vice to Buhari
