TheLegal: i trust GTbank
the way their staff attend to customers is wonderful unlike one useless bank in the name of Sterling Bank. Sterlingbank can delay you until you start regretting why you opened an account with them. There are only 2 banks in Nigeria. GTBANK and First Bank. The others are on a frolic. Ok, stanchat and citi have foreign flavours and play in a different league. Sterling , WEMA even ACCESS, i abandoned minimal balances for them and moved on. ZENITH insisted so much on HNI that i hated them with a passion. Fidelity is ok.I was even part of Nnebeolisas team then . They seem to be carving a niche in SME. The rest are finance houses or community banks |

Fyno: You don't understand how things work in Abia state Abia has never had leaders they wanted or deserved This evil men has always been imposed on them by evil PDP cartel in the state. It started with OUK,a known criminal that was imposed by the northern controlled PDP, OUK then imposed his stooge TA,an old criminal who won election while in jail, now we now have the worst,a Church RAT as the governor, the looting continues Such a shame bro. I feel you. I am a scion of that state too. Otti was our best bet but we lost it again. God will yet heal the state. Peace. |

Fyno: I still don't understand what Abia state did to deserve the kind of treatment from their leaders. Why has God chosen to curse Abia with bad leaders? What did they do?
Is it because of the innocent souls murdered during the era of bakassi boys or the human sacrifices during OUK regime!
I went to Aba today for business at Ariaria market only to discover that faulks road which leads to Ariaria int MKT has been divided into two.
I grew up in Aba with this road this bad,I can remember my mum always coming home with bruises after falling inside the gutters while coming back home from market each time it rains.
More than 30yrs after this particular portion of the road is getting worst.
God will punish all leaders (past and present) of Abia especially the present one who is young but has chosen the propaganda style of governance of his predecessors.
Abia is abundantly blessed But has always been in the hands or wrong men.
This is faulks road today God gave you guys a brilliant and connected person in the ex diamond bank md but you guys opted for a stooge of the former governor. Live with it.. |

In my office we declare redundancy and pay juicy severance package such that some staff even lobby HR to have their names included in the list. The only snag is what business is there to do out there with the millions they get paid. It all boils down to creating an enabling environment for business to flourish. God may still heal this country. |

LuckyLadolce: Truth be told.. Normally, Our banks are useless, they want cheap labour, they set unrealistic target, so they take opportunity of situations like this to sack people and overlabour the few ones left in the system. Go find out about all these banks sacking, some of their Executive director's take home is 6/7m per month and yet they will team up to sack an Executive trainee who receives just 150k per month or a contract staff who get 60/70k atfer several years in the system. Banks can still cope in this economy. They are lying to most people about their inability to pay staff. Let them also cut the amount being paid to the top staff. Banking sector has the most corrupt, selfish, inhumane and slaverymasters leaderships. This so called bank's management want to take virtually all the benefits. If possible, they want free labour. You don't just want to know what banks' directors get as profit sharing allowance. You may faint!
what do you know. Thank God I quit when I did. They still head hunted me this week, i gleefully declined. That industry is not worth it. Over hyped to say the least. |

mesoprogress: Breaking side mirrors, a critical safety equipment is totally wrong and silly. That many people on this forum support this medieval act is a testimonial of how backward we are in Nigeria. I do agree with you completely. I for one rely a lot on both sides mirrors and the inner mirror. I will feel so handicapped if I did not have any of those mirrors. While I do not support lawlessness especially on the roads, i do not subscribe to that medieval correctional approach. I drove that road last week coming from Akure, thank God it wasn't that terrible. Truth be told, i did a very long stretch on the wrong side while following one AKTC transport bus. For those asking about the road, Akure to Benin is nylon, but after Akure and close to Ondo state is crazy at least in patches. I haven't used those roads in recent times as I over fly them, but the trip last week gave me the creeps.I will stick to air peace. |

freeze001: Dasuki's case has been adjourned about 3 times because he has been prevented from conferring with his legal representatives in preparation for his defence. Depositing all travel documents with the court and ensuring diligent checks at all borders is the way to go to prevent an accused from jumping bail. He can even be placed on the no-fly list, he can be required to sign in at a police station close to him every day...there's just no reason to deliberately disregard court orders!
Another case has been Jonathan's cousin that even the judge had some choice words for the EFCC.

On the ruling stopping increase in electricity tariffs, what's the status?
For INEC, I mentioned perception is key. Now who appoints the INEC chair? When he fails in carrying out his statutory function who's responsibility is it to call him to order or kick him out? Going by our strong tribal divisions and fault lines, whose interests does it serve that Rivers, Anambra and Imo State are not fully represented? The North or South? Hope u can see why perception matters especially when the president is notorious for his 97% and 5% theorem.
I don't quite see a response to federal character and appointments. Are we agreed on scores for that aspect? All I can say is that perception is reality.EOD |

If it is true that we are down to less than 800kbpd. That's 1.4782mbpd less than the expected the 2.2782mbpd expected to fund 2016 budget
Due to this weekends bombing, it has dropped from 1.1 million barrels to 800,000 barrels per day.
This is akin to War as these boys are destroying the economic life blood of this country - CRUDE OIL!!! I read somewhere that Lagos is now oil producing. There is palpable discomfort at bori the headquarters of ogoni clan as news filtered in the air of the death of the Paramount leader of ogoni land, presently wemen are protesting and the youths are warming up,everything around living or dead seems to be very sad. According to late Raph Uwechue in his book "Reflections on Nigerian Civil War" written in the early 70's while on exile in France, over 1.5 million biafran volunteer soldiers were killed, in addition to 2million others that died of starvation and disease, compared to less than 200,000 lives lost on the Nigerian side.
Let the war break out and see who suffers the greater casualty. Nigeria, I believe will not.

Illiterate is a person that can not read or write. And someone that never had formal education. OGA WHAT IS YOUR QUALIFICATION? MAXIMUM MASTERS BUT IM SURE YOU HAVE BSC. OR LESS.
You have a point. He should do his job, not waiting for villagers to do the job for him.............. But calling him illiterate is ridiculous. Nigeria Defense Academy is well equipped with educational materials than the evening class and prelim you started from in any of the university or polytechnic you attended. Illiteracy is not limited to reading and writing. It transcends ignorance in any field of endeavour. Thus I am in illiterate in hausa language same as you are probably an illiterate in igbo or Yoruba languages. Just saying |
