Idon'tbelieveit! :-). A few people have sent me emails claiming they spotted a lion on a fence of a pasta factory in the Ikorodu area of Lagos...and they believe the lion 'escaped' from a nearby zoo. First, is there a zoo in Ikorodu? And second, doesn't that look like a dog?

I was at the bank this morning to monitor one of my fixed deposit accounts and also to open another one when a news came to the bank via their mailing portal that CBN as changed the fixed deposit rate for all deposit holder.

The interest rate for deposit between 100k to 50 million is now 2.5% for 30 days and 2% for 60 days and above. For deposit from 50 million and above is 3% as against the 10% ihave been dealing with the bank.

I don't know if this is the same for other banks but i think it is bad news for Fixed Deposit holder.

Please i will want our financial analyst here on nairaland to explain the implications of this decision on the economy.

I left the bank feeling very bad.
Not a problem at all. If this is true, i will terminate all my fixed deposits and put them on Tbills

You hit the nail on the head bro.

May we never experience such...at that moment, reason is thrown to the dustbin. No man can predict how he will act in such a situation.

It is bad enough that adultery has been committed here but the man would probably have to live most of his life behind bars unless he can successfully plead insanity in the court.

He has a defence which will reduce the offence to manslaughter. This defence will avail him if some elements can be proved. He will definitely not be exculpated but he will get a reprieve provided no element of pre meditated thought process can be attributed to the accused.

It was very stupid and disrespectful of him to have worn a crown to meet a Yoruba king. Was he trying to compare himself to a monarch? Eze Ndigbo title is just for representation of the Igbos in diaspora, but some of the so called Ezes have taken it too far. Trying to wear a crown in another man's region means asking for trouble when you know you're not a monarch. Only the likes of Obi of Onitsha etc may wear a crown to visit a fellow king as those are true monarchs.

If the Yorubas won't have Oba in Onitsha, I see no reason why the Igbos should have an Eze Ndigbo in any state outside their region. That's just disrespectful . . . to add insult to injury, he wore a crown to meet the DEJI OF AKURE! Chai. . . Igbo people can fall my hand with lack of respect. Igbos will always try to do what they can't tolerate in their own region. angry angry angry angry

Some people tower above such. On the same board with Okey was Dr. Kolade who was appointed chairman of SURE-P. Needless to say, Dr. Kolade refused to be compromised and he resigned. Some people still exist who would not want their integrity muddled in the political quagmire of Nigeria. Okey is one of such. Except of course he is blackmailed.

Crime › Re: Photos From The Festac Bank Robbery Incidence, 14-month-old Baby & Mother Killed by hardbody: 8:05pm On Oct 13, 2015
This is sad. Please for the avoidance of doubt, when there are such shootings and cross fire, people are advised to lie flat on the floor and never attempt to see what is happening or who is shooting until the shooting dies down. Bullets from some high calibre guns like magnum can penetrate most objects and hit at targets behind.

Same suggestion goes for when bombs are exploding in their numbers. The shrapnels fly up and therefore lying flat is a safer option.

May God continue to protect us. Ambode has failed where Fashola excelled.
