You are right on that point. What further issues do you have?
Education › Re: Why Do Most Brilliant Guys/Ladies Use Glasses? by hardbody: 5:42pm On Sep 17, 2014
rman: There is no correlation between brilliancy and bad eye sight.

Are we now concluding bad eye sight from old age makes those ones brilliant in old age too?

I can make the same argument for bad eye sight and poor academic performance because for every brilliant kid in glasses there is one with glasses that is poor. You all just choose to ignore those ones for sensationalism.
I use glasses and i am smart. Even third parties admit to that fact. Any explanations? I don't have and i don't care. QED.

Owoplenty: a being with empathy will not make such barbaric comment.besides,in such cases the c in c will review and mitigate the sentence,it is call "confirmation"
Bros, i honestly empathize with the condemned more so when i can even justify their rash action and see good reasons why their frustration could only have led them to do what they did. This afternoon, while eating upstairs in the canteen, i saw the military judge passing death sentence on those guys and looking at their reactions and faces, you could almost touch their emotional breakdown, even if they kept that feeling in check as men. Having said that, and having felt such a pity for them, the fact remains sacrosanct that the wages that mutiny in the army pays is death. It is that crystal clear. Now if you have a bad a temper such as mine, you may ask yourself whether you can exercise the discipline to join. The same reason i could not make it big in football. I have at least on one occasion slapped the referee when i could no longer stomach the glaring and obvious injustice. My point therefore is, while those guys genuinely felt bad about the seeming actions (and inactions) of their bosses, the only honourable route is to retire. My cousin did just that because he could not condone some things. Where however you remain in the army, you must obey the superior and hearken unto hierarchy, the alternative to that is death by firing squad. No sentiments. Let us pray that the C in C gives them pardon.

Thank you for teaching me what confirmation is and the difference between confirmation and affirmation.

Owoplenty: No!That is bad..these guys were not to be treated like this under basic reasonability.they were protesting against injustice done to them by the govt..i think the judgement is sycophantic and abuse of sincerity.
Bros na this kind english grammar vex the military judge wey make am dey share the accused death penalty. Which one be sycophantic and abuse of sincerity.

On topic, the only way to survive a coup is by not planning one. All those guys arraigned perfectly understood the repercussion of their act when they attacked their boss. It is sad but the law of cause and effect will take place. May the Lord have mercy upon their souls as they walk their long journey to the firing squad.

martyns303: I respect it when people make reasonable statements. I had to take time off from what am doing and respond to you properly. from the scenario you illustrated, it does not require technical know how or a professional to give a possible outcome of the event. Now, even if someone wants to give a possible cause of this crash, it would make sense if the person at least have an idea of what he saying, which the poster lack. Speaking as a pilot with 2000 hours of flying experience (which is why what the guy said is annoying). let us look at what he said.

1) It was a deliberate mechanical fault and why didn't the pilot parachute out.

Response: Please. let him explain exactly how do a pilot carry out a "DELIBERATE MECHANICAL" failure. because I have been thinking really hard, the only thing I can come up with is if the pilot lowers flaps or undercarriage at a speed way higher than the recommended speed, then maybe the flaps n undercarriage can just snap off. possible, but illogical. maybe our technology guy can explain more. The second part of his statement says why didn't the pilot eject himself. lets see, so I sabotage a plane, then I sit quite comfortably and crash with it. sounds more like suicide attack to me. and how did the poster know the pilot didn't eject? do the poster know something the rest of us don't ?

2) the pilot was poisoned which could have killed him before his he thought of parachuting out of the jet

Response: I don't know what to say, I just had to laugh. well in a commercial flight, the captain and co-pilot usually eat different meal to avoid food poising. A poison that times him, let him get on-board. then incapacitate him just at the right time and prevent him from ejecting. Nice! really nice theory. well done my man.

3) the pilot intentionally crashed the jet especially if he is alive.

Response: isn't this theory supporting at the same time contradicting his first theory. wait! what is the difference between "deliberate mechanical fault" and "intentional crash"? Maybe in 1. the flight engineer messed with something. grin , now he his alive, thought he was incapacitated? oh! that was before the flight engineer messed with things. Right!

4) if the jet was releasing smoke before it crashed which is one sign that it was shoot

Response: Too much of Hollywood. what kind of smoke? because blue, black or white smoke could mean burning oil, fuel etc. (piston engine).

5) the villagers who saw the jet's door, actually saw the pilot.

Response: you cant see a pilot from the door but from the windshield front view. this one is even more annoying. even if the door is missing. u still cant see the Pilot from the ground.
I sincerely do not either agree or disagree with you, but i have heard you (having read your response). Have a brilliant evening.

martyns303: He didn't make any point. You can't sit down and make such assumptions. Let the professionals do their jobs and come out with their findings.
Those were rational and logical thought processes. I also thought about some of those and that is why this is a discussion forum. He may be wrong, indeed completely wrong, but he showed that he was thinking of possibilities. I will give you my personal experience. I was working for Glo sometime when information filtered in that robbers were operating at Oceanic Bank and that was around past noon. While we were discussing it downstairs at the time the operation was ongoing, i recall contributing to say that the only way a sensible criminal can expect to go with any loot from there was to come in with a speed boat, operate, leave, take cover around any of the creeks towards apapa/tin can and then speed away to safety by nightfall. I also said if i was the security chief in Lagos, i will use an helicopter to comb all the creeks and bushes around that arena. Guess what? the next day, the Glo CSO came to my office to tell me that 'oga, those thieves came through the water and left through the water, but policemen were busy mounting road blocks in and around V/I.' Am i a professional? No. It was just rational and logical thinking process. If you have suggestions, make them and appreciate it when others make theirs.

I hope i have stayed away from insult, please if you need to respond, kindly do same.

wirelessmaster: Bros, I believe your people will suffer complete extermination this time around for looting the wealth of Nigeria with the believe that it belongs to you and using element of secret reparation for the damage suffered the last time. The centenary anniversary, local content deal, crude oil deals, various financial transactions that are unrecorded, positioning at various sectors where money is looted without probe, CBN and now NSPMC, Lagos juicy customs zonal command, aviation deals etc and etc. Who even told you Boko Haram is a terrorist activity, it is more a political development than the nonsense you are talking. The Yorubas are regarded as cowards by your brothers, but Col. Umar acknowledged that Yorubas fought along the creek the last time. Only strong and brave people fought in these area from personal experience.

From your comment, I suspect a foul play deal in this attack. It might be a way to cause internal confusion and draw the attention and support of the retired but never tire general even as 2015 is approaching and the issue of Jigawa Governor competing for the presidency is on the agenda.
I have struggled to make sense of your write-up all to no effect. Foul play deal in which attack? internal attack for who and by whom? support of which retired general? there are several retired generals. And what is it about Jigawa Governor. Bros take note, i do not delve into politics, i do not even know the political parties you have in this country. I do not know who is PDP, APC, SDP or whatever DPs you people have. I pick issues and address them as i know and think best but definitely nothing political.

Tell me more. So Ojukwu was the only person that fought the war against the Federal side? He must have been invincible. Having said that, Adebayo, like his father Obasanjo are bereft of ideas tactical and strategic, which is why he is getting fvcked up in the azz. Let him get well and go back to the frontline, the virgin seekers are waiting for him. His father fought alongside their father to kill my people, today the table is turning and it will go full circle. Ask Gowon too.

debbie: What i can see here is a generation of youths who have built hatred, bitterness and anger in themselves.....yes our past leaders have failed us and we need to question them. But this young man decided to fight for his country under any reason and was shot (thank God he is still alive). I ask all of you here, what have you done for your country? Do you think you are better than him? Why judge him based on his fathers leadership?.Do you wish to be judged by your fathers life? Many of us can not do what all these soldiers are doing and laying down their lives.

Come to think of it,we all have families and loved ones, that we wish not to see them fall into danger....yet we are here rejoicing over someone who went for a battle and was shot.I wonder the kind of leaders we will make with this mentality

We keep on saying the elders don't want to give us the chance to lead, but with this mindset?..........i bet we will find very few who can save us.

Meanwhile to all those soldiers who are fighting this fierce battle, leaving their families and loved ones......i say CARRY GO!
SURELY THIS BATTLE MUST BE WON,MAYBE NOT TODAY...BUT EVENTUALLY.
I am willing and ready to be judged by what my father did and no i cannot for any reason die for nigeria. All that i have done had been from my parents, nigeria has only done one thing for me on an ongoing basis....impoverish me

deor03: Obasanjo has about 2 or 3 sons in the military.
2 or 3 sons in the military? Na only him waka come? Anyways the law of probability indicates a higher probability of 3 deaths in 10 as against 1 in 10. You can do the maths.

Meantime, in 1966, Obasanjo was gallantly finishing off the biafrans seeking for self determination. Today his sons are not able to gallantly finish off the boko haramaites. Is it then true that biafra actually fought a war with world powers rather than a rag tag Nigerian Army running away from better organized insurgents? Sorry i meant to ask, has the chicken come home to roost?

For that amount, i will shred the certificate, take the 50m, invest in Bonds, etc, while taking out only 1m for my upkeep, then i re-write JAMB (which i will surely pass), go back and in 5 years i acquire another degree, take in interests on my money in investments and ensure that i never have to work all my life and i still retain a fresh degree to prove i actually am able to acquire one.

Anyways this is hypothetical so no need to worry my head.
