homesteady: i dont think it is a crime for a teacher to send his/her student!! Even in Private schools, teachers send their students
You probably are referring to Iya Basira Nursery and Primary School. In all the private schools I have known, once the gates are closed, no child leaves the premises till referenced guardians or parents come to pick them up. Infact in instances where the parent don't show for an inordinate length of time, the propritress has been known to take the kids home and inform the parents appropriately. Stop pretending that what is bad is good.

What does that tell you of the current average mentality of the Nigerian youth? Ask yourself why wasn't someone else chosen? One thing is, with the level of review here, it appears the piece is a great write-up. KUDOS to the writer.
Celebrities › Re: Picture Of Oluchi Onweagba In Secondary School by hardbody: 10:36am On Feb 21, 2013
dasparrow: I just want to correct a few things you said in this post of yours. Oluchi is not dating white men. She dated one white man who happens to be a well to do designer and ended up marrying him. Today, the couple have 2 cute biracial boys.

As to your second observation, I want you to know that it is not unusual for some girls to look archaic in secondary school and later look hot especially girls from more advanced nations of the world. The reason your secondary school girls in Nigeria were hot back then and look ugly and haggard now is because in Nigeria, you guys there generally treat your women like slaves. You maltreat them, cheat on them and don't appreciate them. So why won't they look haggard and ugly once they reach adulthood and especially once they have gotten married and birthed a whole bunch of kids?

Oluchi was smart to go for a white man who appreciates her and treats her like the African queen that she is. Even after how many years of marriage and 2 cute boys, she is still looking refreshing and pretty. Had she made the mistake of marrying a Nigerian bred male, by now she would have been looking haggard and older than her age.

Lastly, stop calling Oluchi a sell out. With the way I see many of you Nigerian bred males bad mouth and verbally abuse your women on this forum, it is even a miracle that some Nigerian women are still willing to marry you all. Those Nigerian women who know their worth go for men from other cultures who will treat them right and with love and respect. Something many of you Nigerian bred men still have to learn.
I guess with 23 'Likes' from the Nigerian women folk, you have achieved your heart's desire, same desire that led you into posting fallacious lies about Nigerian men. While some of your claims may be true, random qualification of all Nigerian men in your personally created mould is to say the least, very unbecoming. Enjoy your 5 minutes of transient fame.

We have considered entry level to mid level pay ranges in our projections below.

We consulted various Nigerian forums and professional websites, did interviews with insiders on the various concerned industries plus indepth analysis of the salary ranges for the thousands of jobs published on Ngcareers.com in 2012 to arrive at this list. Foreign Affairs › Re: What Do You Think Of Oscar Pistorious' Explanation? by hardbody: 5:11pm On Feb 20, 2013
freecocoa: Agreed, it may have been pitch dark and he might have thought she was in bed.

Now a man with someone in the house, not just anyone but his girlfriend o, hears a sound in the bathroom, suspects burglary and he goes shooting without alerting his woman?

I'd like to think that what any normal person would do then is, tell whoever you are at home with to be on the alert or possibly go into hiding, before going on a shooting spree.

Now since there was no urine in her bladder, what was she doing in the bathroom? I'm tempted to believe a version of this story that says he pursued her there. No?
I recall you guys were claiming they had some misunderstanding shortly before the shooting? If that is true, would they have reconciled enough for him to start talking to her about movements in the bathroom? How large is teh bed? if in the heat of the argument they had chosen for each to occupy one end of the bed, chances remain that they will be no body touch, so he could justifiably assume the woman was lying down there......

Christianity Etc › Re: Some Churches Carry-out Pregnancy Test Before Wedding: Why? by hardbody: 4:48pm On Feb 20, 2013
bennieman: Although the catholic church is an exception, most churches conduct pregnancy test for intending couples before they agree to join them in holy matrimony.

Does the fact that a bride is not pregnant mean that the couple have not engaged in premarital sex? Again, if the bride is pregnant, is it not a good thing that the couple have agreed to marry? Forbidding pregnancy before wedding may lead to several cases of abortion which is an act of taking lives.

It is imperative to note that I am not a catholic neither was my wife pregnant before time, but this is one area where I am with the catholic church.

What is your take on this issue?
Its a No No for me. Carry out a pregnancy test on my wife before you wed us? Is Ikoyi Marriage Registry on strike? I will so insult that pastor and take a drive to Ikoyi. Romance › Re: Disadvantages Of Early Marriages by hardbody: 6:26pm On Feb 19, 2013
Revolva: Many people are marrying early these days. They would like to get into matrimony as soon as their courtship is over. Tying the knot is important to strengthen their relationship. They feel settling down in life early would help them set up their independent home.

Whatever may be the advantages of settling down early in life, the fact remains there are problems to be faced if one gets into matrimony too quickly.

Examples are :
1. Responsibility has to be shouldered at a very young age. One has to take on household responsibilities, child rearing responsibility etc. There is no adult to guide or help out.

2. Missing out on the fun of teenage life and being young. The drudgeries of married life can get to you. They deprive you of your youth.

3. Health also can get affected as early pregnancy can have a negative impact on overall health.

4. Breakdown of marriage is possible. Often the young couple is immature to shoulder major responsibility and end up fighting with each other. Adjustment problems may arise.

5. Education also gets affected. The young couple may not be able to pursue higher education as they have to take on the responsibilities of family budget.

6. Work opportunities are limited for the youngsters. Since their education levels are low, they cannot get highly paid jobs.

7. Bringing up children may be difficult. Their knowledge of child care may be limited and parental guidance is also not there. They may not be able to provide the appropriate care for their child.

Marrying early may seem very romantic and convenient, but it has its problems. Couples need to get to know each other better and this takes time. Rushing into a marriage, which may not last long does not appear the right thing to do. In some countries, where child marriage is prevalent, efforts are on by respective Governments to dissuade such a practice.
No issues. Wait until you are 50 so that your first born never go enter university by the time you are 70. Then he/she will be ashamed to invite you over for matriculation because you are very close to the grave while his/her friends have parents that are still bubbling with life.

The only inhibition to marrying early is if you haven't gone past the bloom of youth or you cannot manage the financial responsibilities. Once these are sorted out, the brain you use to maintain girlfriends should carry you through in a more permanent relationship, besides, money you spend for your wife remains in the house and not scattered to many a female who i assure you will end up in other people's arms.

Bros use your head oo

This their profession is such that a single massive injury will permanently keep them out of job. Quite a number of them do not have what it takes to do any other thing, at least not yet. So while the sun shines, they should make as much money as possible and then think of good investments (using proven professionals in that line of business). However, they should be able to give back to society whether orphanages or old people's homes. In doing that, the decision should be well thought-out and not borne out of 'we now have received enough financial rewards'

There is nothing more to say. The hotel management should have put divers on standby. Secondly, the couple should have known their boundaries. Thirdly, it is possible they had become drunk and did not know exactly what they were doing. I do not blame 'Valentine' for it, much as i do not believe in Valentine. It is a loss to humanity. I wish their parents and loved ones the fortitude to bear that loss. To those living, a lesson in point...Man know thyself.

The actor and former addict tells how TB Joshua rescued him from alcohol, drugs and the mental problems that plagued him for many years in a recent interview. Hanks battled alcohol and drug addiction for years and his mental state deteriorated over time. The former SA to Delta governor, Uduaghan, who has since relocated to Ghana tells his story...

"Yes I got my healing through TB Joshua. It is our Lord's doing. I never believev in miracles until this happened to me. I was having issues with mentality for over seven years, you will notice I have not been that frequent in movies for long. Even when I was special assistant to our dear governor, I was not in a good state of mind and this affected my work in the government before I was advised to seek for solution in Ghana. I spent so much money visiting hospitals, orthodox and unorthodox doctors without positive result. Until I was introduced to TB Joshua. I was only watching his TV programme in Ghana and was healed. I put my faith into it just like the woman with the issue of blood and knew that I would be healed and I got my healing. I am now a mentally stable man. I have dropped drinking and smoking habit, glory be to God."
