Yes oo. The government is doing a great job of safe guarding Nigerian livelihood oo. In fact unemployment is raising and we are slipping into more poverty.

Government must have taking the decision to avoid a lose of jobs in that sector but then you made a valid point why not other sectors which I agreed with you but unfortunately I am not a cabinet member in President Buhari's government so I can't say why but I do know it's a publicly quoted company so go mop up some shares.
Lol @ job loss in that sector. Joke of the year. Doyou even know over 25 million people are unemployed in Nigeria. How many people is Dangote employing compared to the cumulative number of people in all the companies that were refused this waiver.

Facts and figures. You can see who is biased here lol. By your comments, You are a member of the public supporting the Government’s nepotism, favoritism and the further impoverishment of Nigerians through ill begotten policies.

You are worse than a cabinet member in President Buhari's government.

Lol please what was the exchange rate when we were importing compare to now, let us be real with ourself any country that keep importing is spelling doom for itself. You think the Chinese are stupid giving you loans yet they supply the manpower as well as the coaches, but we pay back in cold cash. Continue singing Dangote this,Dangote that when you should be singing to President Buhari and Prof Osinbanjo ears to look inward and focus on import substitution... Sadly we go one step forward nine step backward... Just imagine how much billion dollars loan is going on those train coaches that can be fabricated in Anambra, but as usual we like quick fix.
Please put the blame at the door step of policy makers, money that should be saved and use for internal human capital development is always quickly wasted. The Dangote Refinery should averagely have a break even period of seven to eight years was suppose to reduce foreign exchange pressures but with all this accumulated loan from the Chinese by the Nigeria government what do you think will happen. Henry J Kaiser was a photographer when he started out but was commissioned to build Ships during the World War by the U.S government,we also see how the same U. S government spent on Howard Hughes but the only time the are comfortable to give Alhaji contract is when they want to collect tax .
You obviously don’t know anything. What does exchange rate have to do with cement being produced in our own country.

If you even taking about exchange rate cement should be the cheapest in Nigeria when you convert each country’s price of cement to Naira.

Again People like you are the problem of Nigeria, you have eyes that refuse, yes you refuse to see. You see black and say its white. You better wake up.

When I say Dangote is bad for Nigeria’s economical progress some people would think it is out of spite. You have no idea how terrible Dangote industry is, it’s bleeding Nigeria (CSR Dangote provides is almost negligible compared to how much he has gained/gaining). Not that his company even pay its Nigerian staff well, it’s pushing our people further into poverty.

#2500 is too high for a bag of cement.

A bag should cost less than 1000naira.

While we were importing, we know how much we did buy it. Now that we produce and export, see the price.

Does Dangote want to tell us that he sells Cement at the high price he sells to Nigerians the cement exported out of Nigeria?
Cos it baffles me how he competes with cement producers outside Nigeria if he sells his exports so high like he does in Nigeria

Perhaps he is using our own money in Nigeria to subsidize the cements he sells outside Nigeria

You're more selfish Sir. If you think everything in marriage and life revolves about sex. Know your wife first, her concerns comes first before sex. If as a husband you're only concerned about sex and not your wife's affairs. Then you are very selfish.
And yes, you're in support of the man beating the wife, because your argument doesn't make any sense.
And yes, sex is not food. Sometime someone might not be in the mood to have this sex, as a reasonable person, give the person a break.
Where is the place of wisdom and compromise in what you wrote. You are not in the mood (which you concluded yourself without any concern for your husband), fine.

I don’t know what actually went down in this incidence but we both would agree this man would be a mad man to beat his wife for being not in mood at one time, just once in years. Let’s take a wild guess. How many times do you think she wasn’t in the mood for this man to lose his cool and descend on her. Again I don’t support wife-beating but its clear this woman is not blameless.

If you are not in the mood, what about compromise. There are other ways to appease your husband. Do you think the husband is always in the mood to pay schools, leave money for this and that or do this and that? (Assuming this man does).

The same way it goes for a woman not being in the mood, it also applies to a man. Do you know how many men haven’t been in the mood to have sex with their wives for years. How do you think these women feel?

Girl: wisdom, understanding and compromise.
RomanceRe: I'm Truly Ashamed For Some Men by Harddiskng(m):

To me, did the woman practice any of these? And what makes you think she didn't? Were you there? She didn't deny her husband sex. If you as a man doesn't have sex in day, will you die? And don't tell me I'm being emotional here, because I'm talking facts.

You're even the one letting your emotions rule you, because of pleasure, you decide to beat your wife. It means you're controlled by your emotions, by your third leg, and not your brain.

You men should check yourselves. Especially most of you that think sex is all that matters in life, and it's only thing you need from your partners. Check yourselves. Y'all have serious problems, and I'm not even joking here.

Bible says "wives submit to your husbands" it never said "husbands beat your wives mercilessly any day she doesn't have sex with you" I'll keep saying it, any man that lays a hand on a woman because of sex or any other reason is no man.
Again for the Umpteen time I don’t support any man beating his wife. It just goes to confirm you say things like communication (cause it sounds nice) while you yourself you don’t listen. You don’t practice what you preach.

You were given statistics & religion but you choose the discredit the importance of sex with “sex is not food” its say alot about you. You are intrinsically selfish, marriage is about two people (common interest, compromise) not only yourself. Please don’t consider getting married if you think everything has to be to your timing or at your whine, you would add to the statistics of bad marriage.

“Sex is not food” do you know how many women are in sexless marriages, desperate, demoralized and unhappy. Again I am telling you this is not battle of the sexes. Check yourself.

I read your post. And that's why I'm telling you this. And I'm not assuming anything.
As a husband if you don't communicate with your wife, that marriage won't last.

And it's an epistle to me because it all circles round sex. Sex is not the most important in any relationship no matter how you men want to twist it.

This is why I've decided to stop taking most of you here serious, obviously the only thing y'all after is sex. Very pathetic.

You bring in God and Bible when y'all want to push your agenda. God himself said you should love your companion, did he not? And you don't know that love also means, listening, forgiving, caring and being attentive to your partner? Please please. Leave God out of your narratives.
@Bolded right now you are just being emotional and its affecting your objectivity. First I brought in facts (statistics) and if statistics is not enough for you I also brought in religion.

You want to leave God and His word out of this aspect of your life, Fine. However I would advise you to listen to statistics; may it not end in tears.

Don’t turn this to the war of the sexes and judge the matter at hand appropriately. He is wrong for beating her but is denying him sex an appropriate action. - - - while I was young no matter what offense you committed, in my house you always get your perfect yummy 3 square meals and even more as you require it. Yes, You would definitely eat it amidst your hot tears; Oneday I committed a notable offense househelp’s judgment was that I wasn’t going to eat, mom got back and was furious. In her words “starving a child should never be considered as a form of punishment”. Apply this analogy. - - -

You talk about listening, forgiving, caring and being attentive (to you did the woman practice any of these) If this woman loved her husband like she ought in obedience to God like you are saying would she be denying her husband sex contrary to the words of the same God?

All these epistle because of 2 minutes pleasure. You people are funny.

You don't know what this woman was going through at this point in time, you don't know if she communicated but the man never cared.

I've seen these things happen, that's why it upsets me. Married women go through lots of emotional trauma, but they'll rather keep it to themselves because no one would understand, especially if you're not married, and some married ones that are in the same shoe have accepted their fate because nothing can be done about it.

Most times it's not really the hubby, but there are some kind of depression that hits some married women after child birth. I just can't explain it. I'm not married, but I've studied lots of married people.

Sometimes talk to your wife, gently ask her questions and understand why she's acting up. It's not always about your right, your right, and what you want, sometimes inquire what she wants too.
You talk about communication but if you read my epistle you would see where i mentioned these things: communication, understanding.... it obvious you yourself don’t practice what you are preaching.

@FirstBolded. Sister stop assuming, stop jumping into unintelligent conclusions. Did she tell you she tried talking to her husband... Women are so special that with a little wisdom they can subtly control even the crudest man. Sadly many lack wisdom nowadays.

@TheSecondBolded: No man should ever raise his hands on his wife. But how do you know this man hasn’t tried to talk sense to his wife. Lets face man beating his wife (which I don’t ever support) is either given to anger or at the end of his wits.

World’s statistics tells you sex is the most “importantest” matter, Religion tells you same, yet you choose to downplay it; if it’s not ignorance I don’t know what it is.

What you call epistle is essential and the wise would see and adhere. If the bible can dedicate verses upon verses on top the matter don’t you think it would be important or are you wiser than the Spirit of God that inspired these verses.

Lol. You're the only that lives for sex. There's more meaning to life than sex.

You say denying a man of sex is more wicked than any amount of beating he gives a woman. Well, i hope this will not get you behind bars one day.
Nwaeze Emmanuel, most times i think you write to look good in face of the world. You are hardly ever objective. (I don’t even know why someone would put up his first name and surname on a faceless forum to start with).

First and foremost. Get this right, I am not in support of the man beating his wife.

Secondly, sex is an integral part of marriage. #Fact - Number 1 of top 3 reasons most marriages fail - sex. When you say there is more meaning to life i want to believe you are talking as a single. Even the bible recognizes the sexual needs of a single man: 1 Corinthans 1:7:9 - Man wey no fit hold body, make hin go marry. . Except you are now holier than the holy book I don’t understand the things you are spilling here.

As much as I blame the man I also blame the woman for lacking wisdom (well I blame the man for marrying her too - I would get back to this point). She is not blameless, marriage is about understanding, communication and the most underrate - reciprocity.
Make exceptions for the one you love, she would not always be in the mood, the man won’t always be in the mood, but with understanding and love each is meant to perform their duty.

You form “I am a Christian” and you are not even grounded in your own Christian belief - 1 Corinthians 7:5 - Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. . i know english is hard, so please read as meaning translation as possible. This bible passage talks about denying your spouse sex!

You know why people like you would end up in a bad marriage, you ignore things in the guise of being spiritual or whatever is your current state.

Marry/Have a relationship with only someone that shares your sexual energy.

Wow wow wow. Slowly does it.

There's a big difference between muzzle velocity and free fall velocities which invariably leads to terminal velocity.

The screenshot you attached, it was clearly stated that an AK-47 has a muzzle velocity of 715ms I think. NOT terminal.

Muzzle velocity is the velocity it leaves the gun, shot as if you're trying to kill.

Terminal velocities has much to due with gravity and height of travel than anything else. How can a bullet attain a terminal velocity of 715ms if shot vertically into the air when the only quantities responsible for it's velocity is gravity, height and medium resistance?
Use fact to refute your opponents argument. That’s sound logic.

So based on your little research what is the terminal velocity of a bullet from an AK-47 sir?
PoliticsRe: DJ Switch Lied by Harddiskng(m): 10:37pm On Oct 23, 2020

Try to do your fact checking before taking a side in a argument.

Thats is the terminal velocity of a .3

183 miles per hour is roughly about 294 km per hour (i know you should know how fast when converted to km per hour).

If a AK-47’s terminal velocity is half of that (which is even not the case), imagine the outcome if it were a car hitting you at that speed talk less of a small pointed projectile.

Get your facts right.

PoliticsRe: DJ Switch Lied by Harddiskng(m): 10:25pm On Oct 23, 2020
jelel6:
When the conditions for terminal velocities is attained, the height of fall doesn't matter any longer. 10000 feet or million feet. Terminal velocity for a given object under the same conditions is going to be the same.

(Think about raindrops, though liquids, they fall from unimaginable heights, if terminal velocity is dependent on height every step of the way, what do you think the impact would be on us? Remember the difference between those bigger, earlier drops from the subsequent, smaller ones when they strike us? Mass)

Your numbers about bullets conventional bullets reaching 670 meters per second, you should check that again. Those are enormous velocities that a bullet or similar projectiles certainly can't obtain. Conventional speeds are 50-100 metres per second.

Now, a bullet can actually penetrate the skin even at 50ms. So, injuries could occur honestly. And if the pointed end strikes eyes and other fragile areas, it could be fatal. I did assume that the angles of projection is roughly 90, I know those soldiers could have fired at more horizontal angles which can be very dangerous for those further back.

You're correct with the NB. I should edit my post perhaps. Police still shoot celebratory bullets into the air, even in the US. Both not on protests and it's not legal anyways.

Points taken.
Why TF are you mentioning rain-drop (a liquid), how does that compare to a metal traveling at more than speed of light into the air then coming back down. If you mentioned hail which by the way reaches no where the speed of a bullet i would have even given you a little credit.

At the bolded: all my facts are correct from the weight to the max distance reachable. Google is at your disposal too. Please double check (screenshot attahced: you can see my screenshot even stated a higher number 715m/s).

I am beginning you to think you don’t understand terminal velocity (let me help you with a simple definition: Terminal velocity, maximum velocity attainable by an object freely falling through a gas or liquid).

I ask you again given that all facts i stated about the bullet checks out, at what speed would it hit the ground all things being equal?

PoliticsRe: DJ Switch Lied by Harddiskng(m): 9:30pm On Oct 23, 2020
jelel6:
Thank you for the video. However, it just so happens that I did a lot of physics in school so...

Objects falling from a height will eventually fall with terminal velocity. This means the speed of fall will become constant irrespective of the height of fall. Don't forget there'll be a time the the object's velocity will be zero at maximum height. Then, all objects are been pulled down due to gravitational pull which is constant at 9.8ms'2.

Now, can a bullet kill?, possible. But highly improbable. That's because the mass of a bullet is considerably small and the quantity that'll kill a human is the bullet's momentum. And momentum is mass * velocity. So, you see the mass is small than say, the mass of a sledgehammer or a car or big rock.

Even in civilised societies and in movies too, shooting in the air to disperse crowd or draw attention is practiced because they know it's relatively safe. It's highly unlikely a person dies from the hit of a falling bullet.
I like the word high-unlikely.

But with a crowd of people, the chances of it happening sky rockets. One of the determining factor for it causing injury is the bullet point.

From your talk about terminal velocity do a little math, a small object weighing 0.03kg was fired, it travelled at an average of 1,500 miles per hour (670 meters per second): about double the speed of sound. Knowing that a bullet fired into the air can reach up to 10,000 feet. At what speed would it hit the ground, all things being equal (acceleration due to gravity).

If you calculated that then, We have established that while coming down a bullet has more velocity than a stone thrown with human effort haven travelled thousands of miles into the air. Depending of the bullet’s point it more likely to puncture the skin.

...and all know what the bullet point of AK-47s look like.

NB: In no civilized country is shooting live ammunition into the air used to dispersed a crowd. They have even stopped using rubber bullets because of injuries, most civilized countries resolve to water tanks or at most tear gas. Get your facts rights.
