When I hear people praise the guy, I feel like, something is wrong and they are being wicked. The parents might not be financially buoyant And there their child displayed lack of respect. If ur dad doesn't given pocket money but pay your school fees, does it warrant you calling him a bastard? This is just the case here. The guy displayed disrespect and lack of adequate home training. Unilag starts exam in two weeks time and someone is there organising protests? Ur so called Supporters will write exam while u are there doing activism when not recognised. Did Paul, Jesus curse the Pharisees when on their right? I see some kind of stupidity. I recommend expulsion if possible to be in the meeting... ...... |

Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.” Revelation 1:17-18; Revelation 2:8 - (Jesus is the First and the Last) Isaiah 44:6 - (God is the Redeemer) 2 Peter 1:1 (Jesus is the Redeemer) - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ” Isaiah 44:24 - (God created the world by Himself alone) John 1:3; Colossians 1:16 - (Jesus made all things) John 1:1-3 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM [He], you will die in your sins.” John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.” John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?” John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Acts 4:12 - “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 20:28 - (God purchased us with His own blood) Revelation 1:5-6; Revelation 5:8-9 - (Jesus' blood purchased us) Philippians 2:5-7 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men. Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ Hebrews 1:8-9 - But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” 2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. |

student activist at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Adeyeye Olorunfemi, who was arrested on the campus on Wednesday and transferred to the Police Station at Sabo, Yaba for onward detention has now been released. Adeyeye was arrested alongside three other students at the University’s gate on Wednesday while he was exchanging telephone contacts with other students who saw him attending a meeting of student activists on the campus. The student, who was rusticated for posting an article critical of the university authority’s mishandling of situations, was harassed by the campus men and detained at the “Alpha Base,” UNILAG’s detention center operated on the campus. Adeyeye’s critical post which made the UNILAG Management rusticate him for four semesters is reproduced below: The Senate of the University of Lagos; a Conglomeration of Academic Ignorami The University of Lagos prides itself as a cosmopolitan university and over the years has maintained the status quo of excellence among her peers in Nigeria and the world at large. I promise not to make this BOMB as lengthy and circuitous as my last post on this medium. I will also make it as lucid as possible. I mentioned in my last article WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT THE GREAT NIGERIAN STUDENTS the jejunity of the mission statement of the UNILAG, hardly had I finished the article when the whole statement of mine started receiving fulfillment. One would call me a prophet!. I now see the reason for the backwardness of my nation, we blame those at the corridor of “power” forgetting those at the corridor of “education;” the corridor of “common sense.” I am a discussant of history and it has made me realise that from time immemorial, whenever there is problem in the society, tertiary institutions are places of solace, they are citadels of solutions. The government would go to schools to consult undergraduates, lecturers; professors as they posed to be the backbone of the society. Now, Nigeria is in shambles; the economy is crumbling, where is Dr. Nduibisi Nwokoma of the Economics department? Buhari is still waiting for your economic model computation and those econometrics rubbish theories you teach your students. Prof. G.L Oyekan!.., there is infrastructural decay! Prof. Idoro Godwin, buildings are collapsing and projects are poorly handled! This is not project planning class where you come to disturb students with your unending battery of questions e.g What is Objective?..answer – Objective is ….Question 2 – What is “is”? What a comedian! Vice Chancellor sir, you remain a first class Chemical engineering graduate from ObafemiAwolowo University, Ile- Ife. What has happened to the Great Ife in you? Our power generation is deteriorating and you are alive. The nation’s investment of knowledge on you to make you a scholar is a WASTE. Your first class honours degree is the true definition of a FIASCO. That’s by the way, the protest that led to Senate’s resolution to dissolve the student union and the forceful blood covenant oath-taking was a peaceful one. One that started on a calm note with the intention to end in a day only if the DSA or VC came to talk to the students during the act. The egocentricity of an African man would not just allow them to come. They are PhD holders. I call them ACADEMIC IGNORAMUSES! The irresponsibility, insensitivity and irresponsiveness to the welfare of the students of the VC and his misMANAGEMENT have shown that they are all misfits when it comes to parenthood. They all stood up when the former mistake we had as president tried to rename Unilag to Maulag because the brand UNILAG gives them the pride they need to sleep with any girl-student and admission-seekers effortlessly. These are the goings-on in Unilag, let the world know! The likes of Ogbinaka Karo were ready to tear down the nation if the renaming was not revoked. Now, this is our own issue; welfarism, we can’t find them. Are they telling me that the name issue is greater than welfarism. Is the aesthetics of a building more important than the structural stability? If you don’t know, go ask the MD, Lekki Gardens. My secondary school teacher once told me that during his days at the University of Ibadan, they protested when the chicken on their breakfast meal was reduced to 1 instead of the usual 2. For Christ’s sake, was it this same Nigeria? We never asked for all these things Bello and his cohorts enjoyed, all we asked for was water/light and all we could get from a sensible Senate is the threat of expulsion. Are there no “common sense” persons in the management anymore? We mourn the late Prof. Ayodele Awojobi freshly. I promised not to make this too lengthy but I stand in this era for change as I don’t want to be too much of a victim of circumstance because I have never gained anything from this system of education. I learn everything myself, just like most of us. My lecturers are too busy to teach but are very ready to threaten you with failure. Where is Julius Faremi? . I am ready not as Adekunle Gold but as an active citizen for any step they might want to take against me. E e ba mi ni’be. I remain Adeyeye Olorunfemi. #IwontSign. #RescueUs |
omofunaab:In marking like this, what is needed is keywords. After that, no matter how u arrange them.. .u need keywords but kindly construct it well else the crosschecker will just under mark u |
[quote author=omofunaab post=49576141]You obviously don't know what you are saying, i bet you don't even know how the stuff will work out. E-marking only solves logistics problems and it allows quick release of results. It also reduces cost for waec. .only waec will enjoy the benefits. The students will be the ones to suffer because of variation of answers.. Manual marking will solve the problem of variation of answers but this e marking won't allow that because the marking templates would have been programmed into the system. The examiners just have to follow the template and score electronically. E marking has its own merits but the students will be the ones suffering from the demerits just like they are currently suffering from jamb demerits [/quot Gce practicals have been marked like this and it doesn't affect anything.. ...it will be regulated by human beings and amazingly teachers.. .so no fear.. .. But thank God, I am no longer in that shoe |
I have read nzeokafor and emilokoiyawon's view on the released list of university of Nigeria. I was puzzled when I came across the list even without checking all, I knew south south east, flood the list. As a concerned student, one can say one's view. Let's be truthful in our words. It's quite impossible that UNN will not have students from other parts but really, did they pass? UNN is a federal University and can not afford to drop any student because of region. Remember, Jamb the regulatory body is there to checkmate the excesses before releasing the list. That means jamb is satisfied. Looking at it from the angle of catchment area. Theae are the catchment areas of UNN University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN): Enugu Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross-River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Rivers . (So, this is not one tribe, it is different.) Jamb said 45 percent merit, 35 percent catchment and others for elds. The educationally less developed states include: Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara. Looking at this, you will see that no south western State is less developed. That means the south west has 45 percent to fight for and that is on merit. To hit the merit list, you must be a guru for federal universities. Most if not all the courses in UNN are studied in south western federal universities, so why go ENUGU? I couldn't choose uniport because unilag has the course. How many parent will let their wards go far. Mods, hummm, Lalasticlala, Hummm, they make trending, good posts I guess Anyway, to settle the wahala almost going tribalistic, please, jamb, UNN, release the candidates name and press release.. ......... WAEC deploys e-marker for exams to meet global best practice ON SEPTEMBER 21, 201611:59 AMIN NEWSCOMMENTS By Dayo Adesulu Authorities of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, in line with global best practices, Wednesday said, it has introduced e-marker in examination process, beginning with the ongoing November/December examination nationwide. Head of WAEC Nigeria National Office, Mr Olutise Adenipekun who disclosed this during Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria, EWAN courtesy visit to its Lagos office said that the innovation will help in the assessment of theoretical questions such that marking will no longer be done manually but electronically. He noted that the project is scheduled to begin with the ongoing November/December West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Adenipekun explained that as a result of the development, candidates will no longer take their theory questions home after their examinations, as answer booklets are now combined with the question papers. According to him , the adoption of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the conduct of the examination is aimed not only at ensuring near perfection but to also lead globally in the area of examination integrity. He, however, added that the development does not mean that teachers who were engaged by WAEC in the traditional marking method will be dropped, adding that they will still be engaged to handle the electronic-marking project. He said: “We are providing service and the people we are providing service for are youths of the country and youth naturally are restless. So they also want to see new things” “If you assess well today, you will build the nation because the youths of today will find themselves in several position of leadership in the future. ” He, however promised that the WAEC template of assessing candidates will remain the same adding that it will not be in the interest of Nigeria to lower the standard of the examination for whatever reason. The HNO lauded EWAN for its foresight and contributions to national growth and development through quality reports, Meanwhile, Chairman of EWAN, Mr. Tunbosun Ogundare, in his remarks thanked WAEC for extending its hands of fellowship to the association, while also pledging the commitment of the body to improved education coverage towards achieving the required reform in the sector. He, however appealed to the management of the examination body to always extend training and other collaborative programmes to the association’s members as a way of enhancing their knowledge of the education sector. |

Rubbish. There is light at very good rate here. Even if true, how does it concern fashola and Buhari. Stupid Nigerians. U better invest your time in being self happy than reading hate news.. ... |
When I look at the whole issue, I see a Kind of stupidity. The Bible said, be fast TO hearing and not to speaking. That's the problem. I need to know how rich his parents are. He just put the parents in unnecessary trouble. Who will praise his comradeship? Students that are receiving lectures? Did the other students stop going to school after being rusticated? Who cares about popularity? When you stand on your rights without using brain, you just destroy your life. If only you will go into journalism(with the intention of dying anytime), you will hardly see a company ready to employ people like this. He was too harsh in the use of words and that is capable of causing the problem. Some are saying we need, we need someone Like him.. ..why can't it be them? God will help you but there are better ways to tender petitions. And with better use of words. Remember When the hand of a child hasn't got the mantle, he can't ask for what killed his father__Yoruba proverb. I rest my case |
The relationships we build are undoubtedly one of the most important parts of our life. The connections we make with other people shape and affect our experience. The development of our minds and souls depends on the people that we are surrounded with. So, there are many different Universal archetypal friends that show up in our lives. There are friends who are good listeners, friends who always see the bright side, friends that are never afraid to tell you the truth… However, every good archetypal virtue has its negative counterpart that we need to be careful about. You shouldn’t welcome certain types of people in your energy field if you want to live a happy life. If your goal is to get the most out of your journey on this planet, surround yourself with people that will help you develop your values and virtues. Having said that, be careful with some ‘friends’ because. That way you can spare yourself from many bad experiences. 1.The Manipulator These people are really deceitful and they’re so successful in doing it that they will make you feel that they’re not. For some reason, something in their energy feels off, but they are so convincing that it often tricks your instinctive judgement. Their goal is to sneak into your life, gain your trust and then use you for something that they want. It can be your money , sex, your popularity or just for fun. The key is to trust your intuition. If it smells fishy, it’s not without reason. 2. The Bully The name says it all. Bullies find weird satisfaction in other people’s pain. By degrading and belittling people, they get a sense of personal value and superiority over others. Psychologists say that in most cases we become violent, because deep down inside we’re in pain. So when a bully succeeds in making someone else feel bad, he or she starts feeling better about themselves. The only way you can deal with these people, is not to take personally anything they say or do. They don’t fight battles with you, they fight battles with themselves. 3. The Egomaniac An egomaniac will hang out with you just because it benefits the image they have of themselves. They want others to see them as people with status and if hanging out with you helps improve their social identity, they will always stay by your side; or at least until they decide your company doesn’t serve their ego anymore. They’re not actually interested in your friendship. Egomaniacs are only interested in improving their own identity through you. Love yourself enough to prevent such people from entering your life. Let your intuition be your compass and help you make the right decisions. If your inner judgment Is showing a red light, don’t ignore it. Leave and only build relationships with people that suit you. People who will help you achieve your higher purposes. Life is too short to spend it with people who don’t deserve your time and energy. |
Does this mean anything? Can't I use quotes again? Does that change the fact that change begins with me? So we need to destroy everything from this man all in the name of criticism? Are we not sIck? Sometimes I wish I see all the 170 million Nigerians and speak senses into them... ...ashhhhhh |

We Will Not Accept Admission Done Arbitarily – JAWe Will Not Accept Admission Done Arbitarily – JAMB By Winifred Ogbebo — Sep 16, 2016 1:48 pm | Leave a comment ….Insists Institutions Must Have Students From Every State The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned tertiary institutions in the country against arbitrary and unjust processes in this year’s admission procession. It says while institutions reserves the right to admit students, they must justly explain why other candidates were not admitted. The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede stated this Friday, at the Extra-Ordinary 2016 Technical Committee Meeting on Admissions into First Choice Institutions held at Baze University in Abuja. He said “The institutions have the right to select (their students) but they must be able to explain if someone is not taken.” “Universities have the right to determine the criteria for admission but the criteria must be reasonable, explicit and must have been published prior to application by the candidates.” JAMB also bemoaned the admission criteria of some institutions saying they are supposed to be universal and open to all. “Even when you are not having candidates from other parts of the country or one reason or another, you should be able to be national no matter your proprietorship,” Oloyede said. “A situation where you have a federal university with students from only 10 to 15 states of the federation, that shows that the institution is not justifying its existence. We are insisting that every institution must have students from every state of the federation in order to bring national cohesion, unity and students who will be global products.” He added that JAMB will not initiate or insert any candidate(s) but will,,ensure that no candidate is unjustly treated by any institution as JAMB a referee for justice, equity and standards. According to Oloyede, the “only difference between this year’s admissions process and what has always been the practice, is the policy that there should be no written post UTME test. All other processes remain.” He noted that in their first technical meeting, some institutions were brazenly arbitrary in their criteria for admission, and said that as a referee, JAMB will resist such arbitrariness and illegal introduction of extraneous factors which were not contained in the published advertisement made available to the candidates. “A situation where requirements that were not stated in the brochure to guide candidates suddenly become applicable during admissions exercise would be unacceptable. This is because a condition not stated in the rules cannot be effected to the detriment of law abiding applicants who applied in accordance with the institutional provisions in the brochure,” he said. Oloyede maintained that the approved admissions deadline of 30th November, 2016 still stands and that institutions should be able to explain to every Nigerian child who had applied for admissions why he/she was not admitted into his/her institution of choice. “Let me also advise institutions that were yet to update their requirements for the 2017 brochure to urgently do so. Whatever waivers that might be applicable in institutions should be clearly defined in the brochure,” he warned. On the measures to sanitize the admission process, he said that sanitation is a very strong word. “We will smoothen where things are not done properly by any of the stakeholders in such a way that we will not only be doing what is right but we will be seen by reasonable people to have done what is right.” “What I believe is that JAMB is there for equity, standard and justice and we are going to work together with our colleagues in the institutions and I have no doubt that the right thing will be done,” he said. Also, the Vice-Chancellor of Baze University and former Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof Tahir Mannan said this year’s admission is going be one in which the choice of universities will be respected and with justice and that |

– The Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose has said that he is the best Ekiti has ever seen – Fayose said no governor of Ekiti has measured up to his performance since the creation of the state – The charismatic governor says his policy remains to put Ekiti first Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose has rated his performance so far, as greater than that of any other administrator of the state since it was created. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Governor Ayo Fayose says he is the best Ekiti has ever had since the creation of the state. Governor Ayo Fayose declared himself as the best performing governor of the state since its creation in 1996. The governor, who spoke yesterday through his chief press secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, said out of 11 governors and administrators who had governed the state, none has measured up to his performance. READ ALSO: Controversy: Fayose reveals ‘hidden’ reason why Edo election was postponed Fayose said: “Ekiti was created 20 years ago. It is the only one among the states created at the same time that is yet to have either airport or airstrip. Still, the opposition does not see this as a minus for the state. I don’t know how to play politics with development of the state. To me, Ekiti first. The dirty politics here is responsible for Ekiti having almost 11 governors as opposed to Ebonyi with four since 1996. During my first tenure, the opposition said there was no need to dualise roads in the state capital, everybody is enjoying it today.” Reeling out his laudable achievements, he added: “My priority is to leave Ekiti better than how I met it. What I did during my first tenure are those visible things in the state today. I may be tough, I may be controversial, but all these are catalysts to my performance. I built the first governor’s office, dualised roads in the state capital, constructed roads in all nooks and crannies of the state, put on ground many structures for use of the state. I always scored the first position in development of the state.” He, therefore, described those criticizing his style of governance as detractors. “I have transformed the palace of Ewi. There can’t be two palaces. I am building the first flyover. There cannot be need for another flyover in the next 30 years. I am building new king’s market (Oja Oba). There can’t be two king’s market. Dualisation of roads is ongoing in the local government headquarters. My detractors know what I am made off and are disturbed by my landmarks. And that is why they will always concoct lies to distract me or slow me down. I am not a rookie, I am a second term governor, very experienced and learned in grassroots politics. If it is not photocromic, it is soldier used to rig. If it is not Dasuki money today, perhaps tomorrow they will fabricate many unimaginable lies. They said building flyover is a waste, how many vehicles ply Ekiti roads. Similarly, they criticised my plan to build airport for Ekiti to the extent of poisoning the minds of the land owners against our good intention,” he lamented. Fayose berated his immediate predecessor, Kayode Fayemi, for his low performance, adding that he left the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBED) worse than he met it and that Fayemi had only three achievements to his credit. The Sun reports that he made these submissions preparatory to the 20th anniversary of the state coming up on October 1. Rating the performance of the administration, the governor said Fayemi had only three achievements to his credit in four years. These, according to him, included: the new government House, dismissed as elephant project, the uncompleted civic centre and uncompleted state pavilion. The pavilion project, he said, gulped huge state resources without any concrete use for the people. In a similar vein, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti has reportedly signed documents directing the state’s accountant-general to immediately refund monies over-deducted from the salaries of teachers who hawho had bought some facilities from government during the previous administration of former Governor Kayode Fayemi. Fayemi is now the minister of Solid Minerals Development in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. A few years ago, teachers had bought cars and laptops among other facilities from government on loan with an arrangement for monthly installmental deductions from their salaries.
