SweetBuns: 1. First off, Nigeria is a great country. You just haven't travelled wide enough to see it. 2. Price of stuffs varies with geographical locations so don't compare. 3. Your method of eating differs from his. Good and fine. Different strokes for different folks. 4. How is Niger like? I'd like to know i dont think he criticised me in anyway, he just shared his own lifestyle. Yes nigeria is really an amazing and interesting country. Amazingly corrupt and backward in many crucial areas too unfortunately. None the less very blessed country |

Tallesty1: Nigeria is not an amazing country. I can't say much because I don't know the quantity/size but the price of groundnut is on the high side here compared to other northern states. With 150k you can get a clean two bedroom flats here. Though it depends on the street, that same amount can only get a self con at APC quarters. I don't like eating out, I cook almost everything I eat when I am at home. With 7k, I can cook three different soups and still have some change. A plate of food in restaurants here is between N250-500. An average hotel room costs N5k here, you can get cleans ones with N2k though. It is about location and environment. Never had any business with these ones so I have nothing to say. My location is Suleja, Niger state wow! Thanks bro. What isthe average cost of shool fees for a year (primary school) over there |

gensteejay: NDEs may not be apt term to describe all the observed cases. The term is used to describe a number of situations, related to death or impeding death.
I use "NDE" or akudaya here to refer to specific cases of individuals that were pronounced clinically dead and came back to life, or were buried and still observed by few people in another place, leading a normal life.
This serves as proof of some people leading multiple lives.
I don't use "NDE" to refer to cases of impending death, such as one having a close brush with death in a road accident, for example.
If something happens and is reported once or twice, it could be seen as a sham. But if there are over 50 reports of different cases about that thing, it's logical to regard such reports as having candor. so NDE and akudaya are the same thing to you? They are absolutely different and yet you keep using the terms together. You dont even know what you are saying |

LordReed: NDEs are not proof of reincarnation, they are proof people have NDEs. The large volume doesn't address the fact that NDEs do not prove anything beyond NDEs.
I don't want proof of NDE, I want proof of multiple lives. good one lord reed. |

SweetBuns: really? I'm planning to get the hell outta here. No job opportunities at all exactly! Osogbo is miles better than akure believe me. Akure is just big for nothing. Lagos is the most interesting place in nigeria believe me. Lagos has everything the good and bad. Opportunities abound and you can really become 'big' here. |

You are the gabage in - gabage out graduates that nigerian universities are creating. You just cram stuff but lack ability to think |

Posting this here so as to get good participation.
I am creating this thread because Nigeria is a really amazing country where almost everything contracts from state to state. From culture, to language, and even cost of living.
Today i met an hausa boy complaining that the groundnut being sold for N50 in Lagos (ikeja) costs only N5 in Sokoto. that is a whooping 1000% difference in price.
about a week ago a friend of mine from Akure called me and asked me to help her get an accommodation along Allen or Opebi, i asked her for her budget and she said N150k. I almost bust out laughing. Told her to get at least 300k for a self contained apartment (that is just a room with it's kitchen and bathroom). A two bedroom flat costs about 600k (lower average), 3 bedroom would cost over a million naira for most apartments here on allen.
I dont cook, i eat out always. Depending on what i wish to eat, a meal costs me from 300 naira (for street food like my favorite ghanian wanche) to 1500 if i wish to eat at the restaurants around.
Average hotel cost is 15,000 here except you want to go and lodge in the slumps here in ikeja such as ipodo area or ikeja under bridge area, you would get accommodation of 5k. However a good lodging will cost you a minimum of N35k for ibis hotel and the likes. Sheraton is not in my area.
Olosho would cost you 5k for the average ones sha. 10k for the presentable ones (if you know how to bargain)
if you cant spare a minimum of 300k for school fees in a year (primary school) please dont come to lagos else you want your child to go to public school or a mushroom private school.
What else? Ask me any other costs you wish to know along opebi allen in ikeja.
Share key costs of commodities and accommodation in your area |

Rubyventures: It will be better to give the money raised to some youth who has already started something small but is struggling for finance e.g. in order to expand or buy a better machinery.
The reason being, if given to someone with photocopied business plan , that money will be diverted somewhere else. great idea!!! Totally seconded |

Good one Loj, i hope i would see the multitude of those claiming to have good ideas but no money here. I think most nigerian youths are used to dash-outs. They expect 'helpers' of destiny (as it is said in most prayers) but they are not prepared for delivery when opportunity comes.
This is a welcome development. Seun what do you think? |

People spend and have spent a number of lifetimes on this planet. you have not answered me. I am a politician and i stole funds and was not caught. What karma would i suffer? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Atheist And Devilist Attack Only Christianity?? by HardMirror(m): 6:26am On Nov 26, 2018 |
alBHAGDADI: You were never a christian. perhaps you were just born into a Christian home. A Christian is someone who has been born of water and spirit and is no more of flesh. Your flesh can change but your spirit cannot. As long as you claim to be an atheist now, it means your spirit was never reborn into Christianity. You just remained the way you were from birth. So don't say you use to be Christian because you never were. You simply got tired of faking Christianity, and so you came out in your true colors of atheism.
The reason why you attack Christianity is because it is the only religion that convicts you of your sins which you don't want to do away with. That's why you hate it so much to the point of attacking it while Islam that beheads and Bombs people is allowed to slide and grow. i can authoritatively tell you, "you are not a christian" take it or leave it, i am right. Two can play the game |

gensteejay: Karma is related to the law of cause and effect.
Karma, as a concept, has its roots in Buddhism and Taoism and I have some reservations about it, just like I approach any concept in other religions with caution.
All religions have some truths, universal facts, in them.
I know the law of cause and effect, a concept in philosophy, to be a universal concept. so you believe that if i was a politician and i steal public funds, i would suffer consequences from karma? How? |

gensteejay: I know our world is governed by a set of laws, which are universal in reality, not limited to this planet only.
Some of these laws are the law of cause, the law of attraction, the law of action, the law of correspondence, the law of polarity, and many others.
I know these, not believe in them or think they're real.
One doesn't need to accept or believe in them to make them real. Just like gravity affects everyone on this planet whether one believes in the concept or not.
Though gravity is not a universal concept. did you forget karma? Or you dont believe in karma anymore? |
