At least 10 vehicles on the convoy of Mrs Aishat Buhari, wife of the APC presidential candidate were vandalised on Monday when some hoodlums  attacked her convoy in Ilorin, Kwara state.

The incident took place at the popular Ilorin film house area, a stone throw from the Emir’s palace.

The Kwara State APC chairman, Hon. Ishola Balogun- Fulani who addressed a press conference on the incidence this night put the blame at the door step of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He alleged that the attack was masterminded by a well known chieftain of the PDP from Kwara Central.

“We also have it on good authority that two of the PDP hoodlums have been apprehended by the police.

“We are using this medium again to call on the police and other security agencies to be on the alert and call PDP to order”, he stated.

Balogun- Fulani recalled that his party had repeatedly reported to the police and other security agencies about plan by the PDP to foment trouble before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.

The state commissioner of police, Mr Salihu Garba confirmed the incidence.

He did not, however, confirmed the arrest of any suspect in connection with the attack on Mrs Buhari’s convoy.

The Chairman and eleven members of the executive council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Monday, decamped to the All Progressives Congress in Ukpato Ward, Orhiomwon Local Government Area of Edo State.
Receiving the PDP decampees at the Government House, the State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole said the exit of the executives has further reduced decimated the PDP in the state.
He said: “your journey is coming at a very strategic period. When the PDP postponed the elections, they wanted to buy time but as they buy time, they are losing people and as they lose people and they are losing more votes.
“I believe that God has a purpose for touching everybody’s heart who have joined the movement for change because people like you who live in the rural areas know much more than anyone else the pains of poverty, the pains of the failure of the Nigeria State.
He said, “When we buy you a transformer, there is no light. When light comes, the fees the community is asked to pay is more than the entire income of the community. Other than what the state government is doing in Orhionmwon, there is no federal presence in the community.
“The Federal Government has spent 52% of our earnings on your behalf over the past 16 years and you cannot show one thing they have done. We haven’t fixed all the problems but we have shown that it is possible to begin to address the problems. This is why in Orhionmwon we are building schools besides the long road that we are doing from Ugoneki to Urhonigbe, also we have done roads in Igbanke and all the adjoining communities. We are currently working on the road in Abudu and several others.
“We have also done several red roof schools in several communities, an industrial borehole at Iguododo that will supply water to all the environs just to say but a few. We haven’t fixed all the problems but every day we are doing something new, connecting the people through networks of roads from one community to another, supplying transformers even though they may not enjoy it because the federal government has not delivered power and that is why we say unless we fix the head, you will not enjoy the full benefit of it.”
Governor Oshiomhole however assured the defectors of equal privileges in the party adding that they will not regret their actions and decision to join forces with the All Progressives Congress.
Earlier, the leader of the defectors and Chairman, Ukpato Ward, Mr. Vincent Awekhor on behalf of other members of the executive applauded the leadership style of the Comrade Governor and his people oriented projects in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
Mr. Awekhor said, “We have watched political activities not only in the state but the federal and have concluded that Nigerians need a change and the change is coming from only one party which is the APC and because we do not want to be left behind, we have decided today to join the moving train that will bring the desired change to Nigeria.

The visit of the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, to Edo State, was on Saturday disrupted when some men, suspected to be aggrieved youths of the Peoples Democratic Party, pulled down some banners bearing the image of the First Lady, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, the state capital.

Mrs. Jonathan was in the state to drum support from Edo women for her husband’s re-election campaign.

It was learnt that the men climbed the fence where the banners were placed and began to pull them down as soon as it was time for the First Lady to deliver her address.

Irked by what they termed to be an attempt to mar the visit of the President’s wife, some youths and policemen dressed in branded T-shirts, bearing the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria logo, accosted the men.

It was in the process of a brewing brawl that some policemen, drafted to the venue of the rally to provide security, whisked them away in a police vehicle.

The state Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Chris Nehikhare, said he had no doubt that the perpetrators were sympathisers of the All Progressives Congress.

He claimed that none of the youths who had turned out for the event would carry out the act, adding that the party would investigate further.

Nehikhare said, “I am sure they were APC people. No PDP youth will be aggrieved to the extent of pulling down the First Lady’s posters; every PDP youths love the First Lady.

“But I will investigate to find out and let you know tomorrow (Sunday).”

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Jonathan insisted that her husband would remain in office for another term.

She was accompanied by national and state leaders of the party.

Women, drawn from different support groups across the state, had turned out for the event as early as 9am. They, however, began to leave the stadium at about 1.30pm, when Mrs. Jonathan arrived at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium venue of the rally.

Unable to bear the scorching heat, two women fainted but were later revived by a medical team provided by the party.

The President’s wife said the presidency had been occupied for eight years by other geopolitical zones and asked why the South-South should be denied the opportunity.

She added that the Jonathan administration had performed creditably in various sectors such as transport and education.

She said, “In Nigeria, I saw a train last when I was very young; I was still in the primary school. But today, we can see the train is moving.

“Everybody stayed there for eight years. Now it is our turn; so, we must complete our eight years because God has ordained it. We will complete our two tenures; we will hand over.”

Mrs. Jonathan described the postponed visit of the wife of the APC presidential candidate, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, earlier scheduled for Saturday at the same venue, as a plot by the opposition to foment trouble.

She also challenged her critics, who had accused her of corruption, even when, according to her, no “budget or constitutional right” was accorded to the Office of the First Lady.

“Tomorrow, they will say ‘Mrs. Jonathan is corrupt.’ Through where is she corrupt? I don’t have any budget attached to my office. Go and probe me and see whether there is any budget attached to my office. I don’t touch your money. Whatever I have, I worked for it,” she added.

Not only him, I also warned General Ibrahim Babangida not to attempt it too. His spokesman then, Kassim Afegbua, said some witches said Babangida would win. I hope they know better now. We just held a meeting of witches in Kogi State where it was revealed to me that Jonathan would win the presidential election. He has the support of all witches to continue in office. I don’t see General Mohammadu Buhari ruling this country. We don’t have a political party but if anyone seeks our help, we shall render it. There was a time witches in Benue State invited other witches across the country to offer prayers for the Senate President, David Mark, against impeachment. We flew to Otukpo and later to a village called Owetor. That was where we offered the prayers.

Was the Senate President involved and was he at the venue of the prayer?

No, he was not there. I told you that it was the witches in Benue State that initiated the prayer session. David Mark did not know about it. The Benue witches said that him, being a son and their pride, they don’t want him to be disgraced from office like many of his predecessors through impeachment.

How far can your votes assist Mr. President, what is the population of your members and are you registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)?

We are uncountable. We don’t have any register but we know ourselves. Registration is alien to our culture. That is an English idea. We are working to invent our own aircraft just like the airplane. We have been travelling round the globe with the wooden one we have. Our last international meeting was held in Tanzania. We are planning to hold another one in Kenya soon. The focus of our meeting is to ensure that all the bad things brought to Africa are wiped out. Those who colonised our forefathers made use of witchcraft power but they never disclosed that to anyone.

How did you people fly to Benue State, did you go through the airport or through your spiritual links?

(Laugh) We flew there through our own airport. We have our own plane that takes us across the globe.

How does the plane look?

You can’t see it.

Let me continue my story about the prayer we offered for David Mark. It was in 2012. Specifically, what has the President done for the witches to warrant their support for his re-election apart from what you mentioned?

Everything he is doing in the country, our members are benefiting from it. Therefore, we wasted no time in endorsing him.

What do you foresee happening during and after the elections?

President Jonathan will win the election and violence will erupt after the announcement of the result. However, the tension that will pervade the nation will subside with prayers from Nigerians because we are a nation of prayer warriors.

Does the spirit also tell you who will succeed the President?

After his second term, power will return to the North. As at now, the identity of the person that will succeed him is yet to be revealed. We shall know the fellow by 2017.

Beside election matters, what other message do you have for the nation?

From this year, our economy will witness a turn-around and power will be stable. Investors will flood the nation and those living abroad will return home. If the government can trust us, we can help to eradicate Boko Haram. We know what to tell Jonathan and the leader of the sect will be caught without stress. He will come out by himself from his hiding.

Must you see Mr. President before you make the sect leader surrender?

There are certain things we have to do that are beyond my capacity. If the President invites me, I shall reveal the way out to him. The moment the leader of the sect is caught, their operation will collapse.

We have seen witches that confessed that they had used their children to redeem pledges, as members of the cult. Do you deny that?

Those are people who belong to the black witch society. They or their siblings may have eaten human flesh as members of such society. Therefore, there is no way if that happened that they would not be requested to provide their own meat in return. Whoever kills will surely be killed in return. Anyone with witchcraft powers can only harm members of his or her family. If anyone suffers witchcraft attack, definitely one of the fellow’s family members is a witch. No witch operates outside his or her own family. If they do, then they will be overstepping their boundary.

In your own group, what do you people demand in exchange for pledges?

We don’t demand anything in return as members of white witch society.

My cousin was with his chic...well his side chic...not that he has a main chic sha Anyways, he was with this chic and after the first round, the girl started throwing charges. My G being a badt gai, formed ear problem and proceeded to collect his 2nd round in the rising emotions. While they were taking a rest, she demanded a response to her request. My cousin started by wondering aloud why women always ask for something in return after having sex with a guy as though men must pay for a fun they both obviously shared in? She went quiet - a sign of gradual buildup of anger. My cousin continued anyways. He asked her if she was asking him to pay for sex...she replied no. He asked her that assuming she didn't come to see him that evening would she not have traveled...she didn't respond. To the salary placement of 30k, he reminded her that she was working and also well paid, so why should he place her on another salary especially since he has dependents...she gave no comment. Next she became very angry and started shouting that she is not ready for my cousin's stories...that he must give her that money o...that after all my cousin is the last born therefore she doesn't see why he should come up with excuses each time she asks him for money! At this point my cousin went quiet and simply added as a last shot...I am the last born therefore all my hustle should be surrendered to you abi...smh. She hurriedly left the bed and told him without mincing words that he must give her that money, whether he likes it or not...even if it means borrowing from somebody.

Sha she left afterwards and my cousin passed me the gist. We had a good laugh with the drama and wondered if she had just 5 guys giving her 30k monthly...she for don resign from work tey tey...lol.
