It is widely acknowledged that this woman is unlettered and educationally deficient but this is becoming a joke!

She has over 60 special assistants. What are they doing to help her articulate her thoughts without embarrassing herself and her corrupt husband?

1. Buhari lived in Dodan Barracks as head of state and not Aso-Rock

2. Buhari faced similar national security challenges as her corrupt husband but unlike Jonathan, he successfully destroyed the threat of maitatsine- he did this efficiently without giving stupid excuses.

3. It is not Buhari's fault that the women she knew during Buhari's reign 'stayed in the kitchen'. Nigerian women have been making exploits since the birth of this great nation.

4. Buhari sent corrupt politicians to prison and made them pay for their crimes- that is what Nigerians want. Nigeria will be a better country today if politicians know that there are consequences for corrupt practices. Nwobodo stole money from Nigerians and rightly went to prison for his crimes.

5. There is no evidence that Jonathan has empowered women in Nigeria. Just because his corrupt administration is composed of corrupt women like Diezani and NOI does not mean that the life of the average Nigerian woman is better. Women are suffering and hungry in Nigeria

6. This woman should campaign using the achievements of her husband instead of calling people names and insulting General Buhari and other opponents.

It is too late now. General Buhari will be her President- Elect this time next week.

of Academic Excellence that Tawose Olamide
Timothy from the Department of Computer
Science who graduated with the mind-blowing/
record-breaking CGPA of 4.87 has been given an
automatic appointment.

The Governor of Ekiti State instead of giving the
best graduand a cash price, bestowed on the
young scholar a greater Prize by his immediate
Appointment as a Staff of the University.

Ekiti State Government has announced the offer
of appointment as a Graduate Assistant lecturer
to Mr. Tawose Olamide Tunde, best graduating
student of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-
Ekiti.

Dr. Ayodele Fayose made the announcement at
the 20th Convocation Ceremony of the state
university held at the institution’s Main
Auditorium at the weekend.

The Governor who was represented by his
Deputy, Dr. Kolapo Olusola said the gesture to
the young scholar was to reward his academic
diligence and also encourage others to strive for
academic excellence.

Tawose is expected to resume work officially
after completing his National Youth Service
programme in October this year.

He congratulated the graduating students on
their success and rewarding outcome of years of
toil and perseverance while felicitating with their
parents and guardians who have labored to see
them through the rigours and demands of
university education.

The governor who charged the graduating
students to allow the academic and moral values
they have acquired in the university system bear
positively on their day to day life assured them
of governments continuous efforts to reduce
unemployment among the graduate populace.

Fayose, who was the Visitor to the institution,
commended the Vice Chancellor, Professor
Oladipo Aina and the university management for
the prudent management of the limited
resources at their disposal with an assurance
that his government would be relentless at
finding ways of meeting the needs of the
university community as the state finances
improves.

While congratulating the university on the recent
full accreditation given to the University’s
College of Medicine by the Nigeria University
Commission (NUC), the Visitor expressed his
optimism that the report of the Medical and
Dental Council which was being awaited will be
favourable.

Earlier in his address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof.
Oladipo Aina disclosed that the 20th Convocation
Ceremony of the University formalized the
graduation of 2, 973 full time students, 1,411 part
time students, 485 sandwich students, 1,731
affiliate colleges and 307 postgraduate students
of which 19 students bagged First class honors, 991 second class upper....

He charged the graduating students of various
cadres to be good ambassadors of the citadel of
learning wherever they found themselves and to
live by the creed of their convocation which is to
be found worthy in learning and character.

Politics › Re: Photo: New Boko Haram Victims: Mass Grave Of Almost 100 Bodies Found In Nigeria by harry509: 11:18pm On Mar 22, 2015
klem93:
Up to 100 bodies have been found in a mass grave near the Nigerian town of Damasak, after troops from Chad and Nigeria liberated the locality from Boko Haram militants.
…
The mass grave of dozens of bodies, some beheaded, was found by Niger and Chad soldiers under a concrete bridge on one of the main roads leading out of Damasak.
Azem Bermandoa Agouna, a colonel of the Chadian army, told the AFT news agency that he had seen “about 100 bodies spread under a bridge just outside the town. There are heads here and bodies there, the mass grave has become like a termite mound.” Reuters says witnesses counted some 70 corpses.

It’s suggested that the massacre happened some time ago as some of the bodies were severely decomposed, while others were partially mummified by the dry desert air. The colonel said the atrocity might have occurred two months ago and added: “This is the work of Boko Haram.”
The imam of the town was also found among the dead people. Witnesses say there could still be more bodies, as the smell of decomposition around the town is quite strong.
The grave was found after Niger and Chad troops recaptured Damasak in an intensive ground and air offensive launched last Saturday.
When Boko Haram gained control over Damasak in November, its militants killed about 50 residents and forced another 3,000 to leave the town, according to the UN’s High Commissioner for Refugees.
This year Chad, Niger and Cameroon have united to destroy Boko Haram, because Nigeria had failed for years to do this independently. The operation was called “Mai Dounama”, after the name of a 13th-century emperor of Borno province in northern Nigeria.
The country has announced major recent gains achieved with the help of its coalition partners. Two of the three worst hit states – Yobe and Adamawa – have been declared “cleared,” and the last one, Borno, is planned to be liberated “within a month.”
Some 36 localities, including major towns such as Bama and Dikwa, have been recaptured, with just three said to be still in rebel hands.
The events are taking place ahead of presidential elections scheduled for March 28 in Nigeria, Africa’s most populated country and biggest economy. Incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan has been slammed for his government’s failure to stop the violence.
Over the last six years, Boko Haram has killed more than 13,000 people in their aim to establish an Islamic caliphate in northeast Nigeria. Their actions initially began as a campaign against Western education.
The group has recently pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq. http://www.maxgist.com/2015/03/new-boko-haram-victims-mass-grave-of.html

ur points are very valid . But our politics will remain like this for 2 reasons . One, until me and you and everybody look at our leaders from councilors to the president and demand accountablity from them. An average nigerian isn't concerned about who the local govt chairman is or what he does with monthly allocation, this is just an example , until we start asking and demanding answers from our reps, senators etc they won't sit tight. Secondly, our politics will remain bad as long as ppl see election period as a means of making money. At least 80% of nigerians will demand for some money at one time or the other from asipiring politicians before elections. The monetisation of our politics will only push back responsible people that worked hard for the money and. Who wishes to serve

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Olowaseun Adekoya, 29, a Nigerian National living in Sewaren, NJ, was sentenced in United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to 37 months in prison, after being convicted by a jury of bank fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud in New Hampshire, announced United States Attorney John P. Kacavas.

Between September 26, 2013 and October 2, 2013, Adekoya communicated on-line with an undercover agent who had taken over the identity of a criminal with whom Adekoya had previously done business. The undercover agent advised Adekoya that he could create counterfeit ATM cards which Adekoya could use to fraudulently obtain money from banks in New Hampshire. As a result of those discussions, on October 1, 2013 Adekoya sent four individuals from New Jersey to Manchester, New Hampshire to engage in what he thought would be a $960,000 ATM bank fraud. The undercover agent and Adekoya had agreed that Adekoya would come to Manchester, NH and bring four “soldiers” with him, and that all five of them would each take 40 counterfeit ATM cards and travel to ATMs in Manchester, under cover of darkness, and fraudulently withdraw almost a million dollars.

Late on the evening of October 1, 2013 Adekoya’s four co-conspirators flew to New Hampshire and went to an agreed upon location where they picked up what they thought were 200 counterfeit ATM cards. In the early morning hours of October 2, 2013, the four then proceeded to ATM machines, where they were arrested. Mr. Adekoya, having not flown to New Hampshire with his confederates, was arrested at his home in Sewaren, NJ. The four co-conspirators, Darrell Harris, Adebayo Adegbesan, Kamau Brown and Aubrie Banks, all pled guilty before trial and two of them testified against Adekoya.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service with assistance from the United States Postal Inspection Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Arnold H. Huftalen.

Renowned Political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, has endorsed the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and urged Igbos and Nigerians to vote for Buhari in order to restore hope to Nigeria.

At the unveiling of a Pan-Igbo group, Igboekulie, in Lagos on Wednesday, Utomi said Buhari’s coming would be likened to what happened in the United States in 1981 when the Americans were fed up with the Jimmy Carter administration with inflation as high as 29%, but it took a 70 years old man, Ronald Reagan, to run for Presidency in the United States, to turn things around and revive the American spirit.

He said Igbos have been branded as people who sell their votes to the highest bidder and therefore, urged them to vote wisely in order to shed this reputation.

“I think Nigerians don’t have any alternative in the person of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. I refer to him from my writings as the Buhari ascendancy. That reminds me of what happened in the US when I lived there with President Ronald Reagan.

“We had one wonderful, nice guy called Jimmy Carter as President. Things went so awfully wrong. Inflation was 29 per cent.” he explained.

Politics › Re: "It's Going To Be A Very Difficult Year," Ngozi Okonji Iweala (CNN) by harry509: 9:38pm On Mar 18, 2015
tbaba1234:
Oil price slump is choking this OPEC economy
March 18

Nigeria's currency is trading at a record low against the U.S. dollar, the stock market has slumped 15% this year --making it the worst performer in Africa -- and financial reserves are being depleted.

"It's going to be a very difficult year," Nigeria's Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala told CNN. "We've had a more than 50% fall in the price of oil and that has naturally impacted the economy."

Nigeria is currently pumping about 1.8 million barrels of crude oil per day, making it OPEC's 7th biggest producer --alongside Angola.

It relies on oil for 70% of its income, and needs a price of nearly $120 a barrel to balance its budget, according to Deutsche Bank.

The slump has taken world prices below $43 a barrel, their lowest level in six years, and that has placed the economy under severe strain.

It is a crisis that is affecting rich and poor. Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, has lost over half of his $25 billion wealth in the crisis, according to Bloomberg. Much of that has been wiped out by the falling currency and the stock market crash.

However much pain Nigeria is feeling, it's not the worst performing oil exporter.

The Russian economy is set to shrink by 5% this year, with international sanctions exacerbating the impact of the oil price collapse, and Venezuelan GDP could fall by 7%.

Still, the IMF has slashed its 2015 growth forecast for Nigeria to 4.8%, from 7.3% last October. And the government is having to cut spending in many areas.

"Nigeria is actually still growing and still one of the 20 fastest growing economies in the world," says Okonjo-Iweala. ""We've had to cut back on some investments but to support growth, we've taken the little we have and focused on high priority, high impact investments - mostly in infrastructure and health."

Nigeria faces another a more immediate problem.

It is set to hold one of the closest elections in its history. Political uncertainty and the threat of instability, and even violence, during and after voting has meant many investors and businesses have adopted a "wait and see" approach.

The elections have already been postponed by six weeks after the military announced they could not guarantee security on voting day due to a new military offensive against Islamist terror group Boko Haram.

Reports say, the deceased and his friends drank different types and combinations of gins and alcohol. Famous won the competition at the second round, earning him a cash prize of N4,000. Unfortunately, the prize couldn't be redeemed as he was immediately hospitalised and died shortly after.

The police have stepped into the case by arresting the organisers of the event.

Investigations have commenced.

Lol. I'm sure your mum must've been doing this. Many reasons attribute to this practice. 1st, to avoid fight among siblings; 2ndly, to ensure evenly distribution of the available food among all accordingly (with most times putting age in consideration). The senior ones are given the more bigger size than the junior ones.

Let's share the memory of those old days.
I can't rememba animore. It av tayed....
