NYSC / Re: Your NYSC Questions Answered by Harvard13(m): 6:36am On May 19, 2017
HashtagMoniker:
I am still a university student in UNN (3rd year presently) and up till now I haven't been given my JAMB admission letter according to JAMB there is no admission yet but I got into school on the first list with the course of my choice. I am considering ditching the request for the letter since 2014 but some people say that you won't be allowed to serve if you don't have the JAMB admission letter.

I'm a UNN graduate. I never printed JAMB admission letter and I came in with 3rd list buy going to serve now. As far as your admission has no wayo and you do your clearance, UNN will send your name to JAMB.

There will always be announcement when the time comes.

NYSC / Re: How To Successfully Process Your NYSC Redeployment by Harvard13(m): 12:06am On May 19, 2017
Oraculus:
Sometimes, it can be heartbreaking to see yourself in one state when you actually desire another state.
For whatever reason it may be for you to want to redeploy, you need to do the process right.

Redeployment is real. NYSC will redeploy you if you can prove you deserve it.
Redeployment is currently done on 3 basis:
1. Health reason
2. Marital
3. Security
Security is only restricted to states prone terrorism

So to secure a successful redeployment, these tips may help.

For those applying for medical reasons, make sure you get a medical report from a government hospital. NYSC won't acknowledge medical reports from private institutions.

The reports are usually dated. The older the date on the medical report, the more serious NYSC officials will take it. If the report is dated a few days around when you printed your call up, it may raise suspicion about your motive for redeployment eg. you printed callup 1st may and your medical report is dated 5th May; NYSC officials will just be like, 'Osheeyy, Baddest!!'
So use your sense. That's all I will say.

As soon as you get to camp, take your medical report to the camp clinic for authentication, then begin your application for redeployment.

NYSC will not redeploy you to your home state.

Lagos and Abuja are highly contested, so you might not get them but you will get places that are very close.

Some people claim to have certain illnesses so that they can be redeployed. Note that these information go into your file for life. And if you don't mind and still want to claim an illness, claim wisely.

Know the illness in and out, and be ready to fake it if possible. But I will strongly advise you not to because NYSC officials will know.

One of the most common illnesses people claim is Asthma. Asthma is manageable and can be managed from any hospital.

W‎hatever the illness you claim, know that the NYSC officials are going to assume that if the illness did not kill you in 4/5/6 years of school, it won't kill you in one year of NYSC. So they will kuku post you close to a healthy facility instead of redeploy you.

For those that still won't follow my advice and still want to claim illnesses, claim an illness that is chronic, requires close monitoring by your doctor and difficult to diagnose instantly  eg type 1 dm.

For those who have genuine conditions, please take your medications, hospital consultation cards/appointment cards with you to camp. These will further support your case.

$
Don't forget NYSC is not foolish. When you were filling your biodata online, most people entered genuine information into the NYSC portal. Infact, there's a column where you are asked if you have any health challenge, some people will answer 'NO', only to later bring a medical report. Lol

During screening, NYSC officials will go through your biodata, state of origin, state where you schooled and the state where you want to be redeployed to. All these will be used to determine whether you will be redeployed or not and if you will be redeployed, it will determine where.

So when you apply for redeployment, careful not to choose your state of origin, lagos or abuja except you have really strong connect or you can really prove that you need to be in those places or else they may redeploy you to wherever they feel like.

Wisely choose less competitive states.

For those that want to redeploy on marital basis, ensure you have all your documents including your marriage certificate, change of name newspaper publication, marriage pictures, etc

Finally, be patriot, don't pay people for redeployment. say no to corruption.

NB: this is a rough draft, kindly forgive all grammatical/typographical and language errors. Just heard, people are printing call up and I needed to drop this info asap.
This info is not exhaustive, there are some I can't recall right now and will update when I can.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

you can redeploy via
1.Marital reason
2.Health reason
3.DG directive(very strong connection)
But health is the easiest, just prepare your medical report, and fill redeployment form when they're sharing it in camp, make sure u follow up, don't dullllllll!.

Good day. Please is being HIV positive enough reason for redeployment??

If no, are there any special considerations for HIV positive patients?

Or what can Someone use on medical terms?

This is one of the obvious absurdities in the whole concoction called bible.

Why will Jesus have to pray to escape the death that, he (Jesus) claimed he was destined to died. Even before the foundation of the world.

It takes just only "intelligence" sustained by by anachronistic ideas, to find sense in these bunch of craps, called bible.

Jesus saw what was before him and the flesh felt it and he called out. Remember he said, let ur will be done in the end.

What you're saying in essence is that prayer is useless, especially, considering the fact that whatever misfortune that they are facing then might be divinely ordained?

No. Some prayers are answered, some aren't. If you say a prayer over a specific issue, its Godwho determines the reply. If he wants to "rewrite" the case, its now up to him.

My point is, the fact that you prayed doesn't always mean it will always be answered

Unlike the Holy Book, I don't promise my patients heaven and earth and then fail them. I tell them how bad their case is, the prognosis, what to expect. In my practice, Medicine has failed a few times (which is expected) and prayers have failed ALL the time despite the promises, so yea, their prayers don't worth a damn.

People who have read the Bible well know that Christianity doesn't promise no sorrows, no. Sometimes it may be a test of faith by God or a pathway to a greater blessing. Few pple have/can lose as much as Job did. Yet he was Gods beloved

That's the point. Even Jesus Christ's prayers wasn't answered to show you how pointless prayers is.
wrong notion there. Remember, everything happens for a reason. Jesus' prayers weren't answered then because his death was needed to save mankind. Did Jesus stop trusting the father?? No. Because his prayers have been answered at other time.

Its only people who expect only good things that fall easily. Remember job, Gods favorite, was struck with illness to the point of death but he never doubted

I have also predicted events, different type of sporting activities and all have been perfect.

My question now is.

Have I been called by God to be a prophet or is it just normal to other people?

Should I go and open a prophetic ministry?

Please, advice me.

Erikson is Spurs' best player though.

I don't know why the coach often chooses to play him on the wing to accommodate Alli in the middle or leave him out completely. Alli has shown to be useless when he's not scoring goals, he's more like a SS these days. It's a pity it's the goals that count in this era we find ourselves.

I wondered why he chose to dump the 352 system all together. Just because they drew against City doesn't make the formation redundant for Spurs. Chelsea didn't drop theirs after losing against Spurs or looking vulnerable against City. I believe the formation got the best out of Eriksen and whenever Eriksen is at his best, Spurs as a whole is always at his best as a result.

For now I don't have any particular coach in mind, but I'd like the new man to share some qualities of Diego Simeone. His energy and aggression would have a positive multiplier effect on the entire team.

The La Masia haven't been able to produce qualitative players for some time now. The little spark they produced of recent (Thiago Alcantara) was foolishly allowed to slip right through our butterfingers.

Enough dawdling and waiting on La Masia to give us some magic. Let's cast our nets wider and fish for quality ready-made products in the next transfer window.

I still remember the first time I said in my mind that there may be no god. Fear griped me, I was expecting the ground to open and swallow me like the story of korah in the bible. That was six years ago.

As a result of my indoctrination into Christianity, I used to have this fear of not involving god in everything I do; I pray before I sleep because I fear that if I don’t pray before sleeping, I will have nightmares or may not even wake up. When sick, I pray before taking drugs because I feared that the drugs may not work without prayers. I pray before eating to remove poison (Nigerian movies actually caused this fear) and because I feared that if I don’t thank god for this meal he may get angry and deny me my next meal. I pray before travelling, taking exams etc.

To be honest, since I became an atheist, some unfortunate things have happened to me but it is very easy to look beside me and see a devoted Christian suffering worse.

Bad things have happened to me as an atheist yet good things also happened some of which are; I wrote JAMB and passed without prayers, I got admitted into the university without prayers, I have been travelling to and fro school and been arriving safely without prayers, I have graduated from the University with flying colors having taking all my exams without prayers

The highlight of my testimony is that I won a scholarship in 2014 (NNPC/Chevron JV scholarship) and was paid 100,000 naira thrice for the scholarship.

The manner in which I won the scholarship fits exactly into what a Christian might call a miracle. One of which was the fact that I was devastated after taking the test because I didn’t finish answering the test questions before I was forcefully logged out.

To make the story even more interesting, I applied for the scholarship with six of my other course mates some of them knew my stance on religion and I was the only one that got the scholarship.

The message I want to pass is that as a human being, you can get lucky sometimes and be unlucky other times (most accident victims prayed before their journey). You don’t get favored because you are a Christian, Muslim or an atheist. In fact if there is a god, he doesn’t care about your prayers.

I am an atheist graduate waiting to be mobilized for NYSC and I hope to share more testimonies with you.

U never had real faith. Jesus our lord prayed to the father to let the cup of suffering pass away but he was still crucified. Did he stop believing in his father??

The fact that you did what u did without prayer doesn't mean anything. You may not realize until u need prayer as ur last resort.

A true Christian knows that sometimes his faith is tested.

Case number 10
We had to admit a baby girl, she was given birth to prematurely (7 months gestation), her case was a bad one and we told the parents the prognosis, but this little girl fought on. She exceeded our expectations and everyone in that unit got attached to her emotionally, then she got worse, nothing seemed to be working. The parents have spent a ton of money by this time, so, we were all really rooting for this girl to make it, we held prayers, got a mantle blessed by Bishop Oyedepo, prayed and prayed, she eventually died.

Remember that u exhausted ur medical abilities first
Our prayers and Bishop Oyedepo's mantle weren't worth a damn, apparently.

So can I say ur medicines and medical abilities weren't worth a damn?? Remember you were the one that she invested her money on and u failed.

Lambert Hails Ikeme, Enobakhare’s Showings In Wolves Defeat To Wigan

Wolverhampton Wanderers coach, Paul Lambert, has again praised Nigerian goalkeeper Carl Ikeme and his compatriot, Bright Enobakhare, for their brilliant performance in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Wigan Athletic in the Sky Bet Championship, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ikeme conceded his 30th goal of the English Football League – Championship season after Jake Buxton leapt high to head home a late corner for Wigan to stun Wolves.

And Lambert admits his side didn't deserve to win the game and also concedes that letting in a late goal was ‘poor’.

"It was really disappointing and I’m angry as well in the manner that we’ve lost the game," he begins in his post match interview.

"In any football game, you've got to earn the right to win the game and we’ve never earned the right to win that game – that’s the disappointing thing.

"Again, Carl Ikeme had one save to make and then we end up losing the game.

"I’ve got no problem with playing the kids … and Bright (Enobakhare) was very good himself."

It was Wolves' 32nd defeat of the campaign which sees them dropping to 18th position in the EFL Championship table with 35 points from 31 games.

Ikeme has made 26 appearances, keeping seven clean sheets.

Lambert whose side face Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, adds that the Wolves will have to play much better if they must get any chance of progressing to the next round of the Cup.

"If you don't know what you're going into on Saturday, you'll never know,” Lambert continues.

"They won’t need me to say what kind of game it’s going to be like or what kind of team they're going to come up against.

"It’s a game where we will do what we can to try and go through – we’re going to have to play incredibly well and they will have to have an off-day, but Cup football can happen."
