I'm from a Christian home but since my childhood I find it hard to be in any religion..i was always forced to go to church.sometimes my mum will invite the pastor and prayer warriors to conduct a deliverance section on me but still I'm always skeptical about religion..now I'm old enough to decide what I need and the kind of spiritual or non spiritual life I want to live but my parents always treat me like an outcast whenever I'm around . Please learn something new today, which is: Cisco was once strictly professional but currently it's purely academic leading to a professional certification which is why it is currently included in all tertiary institutions' syllabus'

But "nomenclature-loonies" like Nigeria have all the PhD's, and Prof but cannot make a single thing to even help their departments. A university bragging about having a Comp. Engineering dept. But Data-centre was designed and built by LG WTF.

You must change your O. T about uni being better than poly because they complement each other, and cannot function alone, but that's gonna be very difficult. Only those who have gone both routes are in a better, informed position to talk. "Those" like me.

Happened to me at UBA ATM inside Ariaria market in 2012. Withdrew 20k thrice and got 57k total instead of 60k.

I always have this feeling that anything in Aba is all about wayo. Something in me told me to count the money before leaving the ATM, so I did. Went straight inside the bank to lay complain, they never knew I understand Igbo language. One of the CCR was telling her colleague that I was the 9th person that is complaining that day, that she can't really understand why the machine is shorting cash by 1k.

Mehn, they didn't even ask me to fill any form, they pointed one man behind the counter to me that I should go and meet him. Immediately I told the man what happened, he just dipped hand inside his drawer and gave me 3k without any filling of form. Since that day, whenever I withdraw from any ATM that's not my bank, I always count the money even till date. I no wan hear story for this kind hard time.

I read a post about pains of 2.2 graduates, the pains we are made to go through due to stigmatisation in the Labour market. Yes, it is true that some of the 2.1 students and graduates are not any better than some of the 2.2 students and graduates. Some students do all they can to graduate with 2.1, had once been there but due to several factors they dropped. Yet that does not make them average or less than average or below average students. After reading the earlier post it was as if the OP was saying my story as an undergraduate. The truth of the matter is that examination is not always the true test of what we really know because our teachers and lecturers always want us to give back to them what we were taught, some of us who try as much to give back but too stubborn to try something different end up with GPs close to 2.1. I do not blow my trumpet here but some 2.1 students and graduates respect and envy some of us who made 2.2 since they know the real stuff we are made of better than our lecturers.
Now back to the topic proper, many of those who have been outstsanding in our world are not always those with 1st class or 2.1 but those 2.2 students and 3rd class that had been written off by our institution. I am a practising lawyer who never failed any exam in my life, I had been an above average student yet still graded with 2.2 but the beauty of the story is that I am forced to show the world I have much more to offer. For long am not an advocate of go to school get good grade to get employed because I do see myself as an employer. I worked for three bosses who can attest that am sound because I was never turned down at any interview, when I served as a corper I was given opportunity to stay back at my PPA but I had my plans. Today I am just 27 years and I have been able to have my own law firm in one of the best areas in Lagos mainland. I look forward to giving jobs to my colleagues and juniors. The truth is that it does not come on a platter of gold but I put in so much than many of my colleagues with paid employment with their 2.1. As at today I have a much more beautiful office than my boss, I also look forward to reducing unemployment in Nigeria and my certificate has not been an impedement to my dream. Little wonder that I also turned down offer on the Island in the only office I eveer applied to right there just to be alone and I have no regret till date. Please note, I turn down briefs, I detest when lawyers come too cheap like those popularly called charge and bail since I know I have a lot to offer.
Conclusively the 2.2 we made in school make us think more of being employers hence we think outsided the box than some of our friends who made 2.1 only to end up CEO at most in companies set up by our 2.2 peers. Do not let your grade determine your life but your life determine your grade. We aint give a damn about school grade but how life itself grade us, we think nothing but our empire. #NextBillionairesinthemaking

WHY ARE WE SUCH A HOPELESS PEOPLE? I can see why there's gross underdevelopment in the various sectors of our nation. And this useless op would carry this same mentality to his workplace and start discriminating between BSc and hnd.

I had HND 1st then B.Eng NEXT, and after my HND I WAS JUST TOO SUPER-DUPER GOOD FOR B.Eng . Thus I can categorically say that what engineers only know how to do is to think, draw and calculate ALL ON PAPER. Technologists are the ones who bring our dreams to reality. Same with Architects, they imagine and draw but the building tech guy knows how to get it to life.

What am I trying to say : A GOOD POLYTECHNIC BEATS ANY UNIVERSITY IN NIGERIA. LASPOTECH ELECT-ELECT ENGINEERING GUYS, WE WERE AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN REPRESENTING IN UNILAG/OAU/OOU ELECT-ELECT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENTS. ALL YOU NEED DO IS SUFFER TO COME OUT WITH UPPER CREDIT AND 1ST CLASS HONOURS WOULD BE YOUR MIDDLE NAME.

Nonsense! Why the comparison , how does comparing both higher institution of learning add or subtract anything from the Nigeria economy. A graduate from University and a graduate from polytechnic still fall under the Subject class of Graduates. Logicians would understand. So to hell with the comparison it's of no use to anybody.

PS am in the University of Benin ok, if I had an opportunity I would have attended a polytechnic.
