Lambert Hails Ikeme, Enobakhare’s Showings In Wolves Defeat To Wigan

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/ikeme.jpg
Wolverhampton Wanderers coach, Paul Lambert, has again praised Nigerian goalkeeper Carl Ikeme and his compatriot, Bright Enobakhare, for their brilliant performance in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Wigan Athletic in the Sky Bet Championship, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ikeme conceded his 30th goal of the English Football League – Championship season after Jake Buxton leapt high to head home a late corner for Wigan to stun Wolves.

And Lambert admits his side didn't deserve to win the game and also concedes that letting in a late goal was ‘poor’.

"It was really disappointing and I’m angry as well in the manner that we’ve lost the game," he begins in his post match interview.

"In any football game, you've got to earn the right to win the game and we’ve never earned the right to win that game – that’s the disappointing thing.

"Again, Carl Ikeme had one save to make and then we end up losing the game.

"I’ve got no problem with playing the kids … and Bright (Enobakhare) was very good himself."

It was Wolves' 32nd defeat of the campaign which sees them dropping to 18th position in the EFL Championship table with 35 points from 31 games.

Ikeme has made 26 appearances, keeping seven clean sheets.

Lambert whose side face Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, adds that the Wolves will have to play much better if they must get any chance of progressing to the next round of the Cup.

"If you don't know what you're going into on Saturday, you'll never know,” Lambert continues.

"They won’t need me to say what kind of game it’s going to be like or what kind of team they're going to come up against.

"It’s a game where we will do what we can to try and go through – we’re going to have to play incredibly well and they will have to have an off-day, but Cup football can happen."

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Fpl Tips - Reviewing The Bots Vs Experts Article by Harvard13(op): 2:31am On Jan 17, 2017
Good morning and welcome to the review of our bots vs experts’ article. These review(s) will help us determine if the bots options are preferable to the experts or if human judgement trumps their call. It will also help us keep track of the performance of these sites over the course of the season.

The previewing article can be found http://harvardsports..com.ng/2017/01/bots-vs-experts-selecting-best-team-for.html for cross checking. Thanks.

FFFIRST had returns for 2/3 of their goalkeeper picks, 4/5 of their defence picks, 5/7 of their midfield picks and 3/5 of their forward picks giving a 14/20 or 70% correlation rate.

FFFIX came in with a perfect 3/3 on the goal keepers, 4/5 on defenders, 5/7 on midfielders and 3/5 on forwards to give a marginally better
15/20 or 75% correlation rate.

FFASSIST had a 2/2 on goalkeepers, 3/5 on defenders, 5/5 on midfielders and ¾ on forwards to beat all with a 13/16 or a whopping 81% correlation.

Mixing the trio, the modal BOTS TEAM gave a 2/2 on goal keepers, 3/5 on defenders, a perfect 7/7 on midfielders and a 4/5 on forwards to give the highest score of 16/19 or 84% correlation.

This means you could pick a starting 11 in a valid FPL formation with returns from their picks and for this week, the sum of the parts (BOTS TEAM) beat the 3 separate bots sites.

For the experts, FFGEEK had a 0/1on goal keepers, 3/3 on defenders with the legendary Alonso pick proving a huge winner especially as it was a lone boat, the midfield had a 5/5 and the forwards had a 2/2 to give a 10/11 or 91% correlation rate.

FFSCOUT turned in 1/1 with their goalkeeper slot, ¾ with their defence slot, 3/3 with the midfield slot and 3/3 with the forwards giving same 10/11 or 91% correlation rate.

The modal EXPERTS TEAM didn’t get a goalkeeper but had 3/3 on defenders, 2/2 on midfielders and 2/2 on forwards to give a 7/7 or 100% correlation rate.

Finally, the CONSENSUS TEAM had a 1/1 on goalkeeper, 2/3 in defence, 4/4 in midfield and 3/3 with the forward picks to give 10/11 or 91% correlation.

From the data, the experts were the winners this week which is a superb feat considering that they were limited by price and standard formations.

It should be noted that this week was a particularly high scoring week with all the top strikers barring the “FPL god” and “the Chinese wantaway/back injured” top strikers.

See you next week for another episode and remember to drop your opinions on tips to make this piece even more useful.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Fpl Tips - Transfer Market Analysis: The Good, Bad And The Undecided by Harvard13(op): 2:20am On Jan 17, 2017
Good morning and welcome to a new series I would be doing hopefully till the end of the season.

I call it the transfer market analysis; the good, bad and the undecided. Here I look at the top 5 transferred in and out players at the end of the last day of game week matches and TRY to work out if it will be a hit or miss. Those who I feel don’t clearly fall into any category fall into the undecided group.

Ill also be giving my reasons for calling it/them hits or misses and we can check out how wrong or right I was at the end of the week.

Kane tops the transfers in chat with 94,976 in and has undergone a price rise but despite scoring a hat trick in his last game, he wasn’t previously much on form and faces a hard fixture next according to the ticker* so despite it feeling like a success, I’m still undecided on that one.

Lukaku is a complete good! Form and fixtures and no
midweek game screams buy! Alonso tho is a tricky one. With just one easy fixture in the next 3, some might argue against but for those who have watched him, Alonso plays like a winger and even if Chelsea do not keep cleanies in the harder games, his attacking output could come in handy and anyway, hull at home is so hard to resist.

Coutinho goes in the bad category not because he has a bad fixture but mainly because he hasn’t even played a full game since his recovery and though unlikely, the coach might still want to ease him back against a “weak” Swansea side. If his fitness is to be built before that, Liverpool have a must win midweek FA cup fixture and for such an injury prone player, it would have been better to wait till Tuesday night IMO.

Then there is Alli whose case is similar to kane’s though he has form but I still don’t think he is a top priority in the midfield ranks for this week with the fixture involved.

For TRANSFERS OUT, Costa tops the chart with 165,733 sellers. This comes after being omitted from the squad this past weekend and rumours of being exiled arose. The truth is that despite those absolutely believable rumours, Conte hasn’t backed them which means that the injury claim is our strongest base and recovery before a fixture against hull is still within reach. The caveat is that the fixtures after that aren’t nice and with other strikers performing, his sale is justifiable but still falls within the undecided category.

Our dear former favourite Ake is definitely a good transfer out. Out of the starting line-up and dropping in price, there is no reason to keep. Likewise Zaha. Off to the nations cup and set to miss next week games and probably more, there is no reason to keep.

Then we have another former favourite Capoue. Cheap, starting and on set pieces, he was the darling of most squads at the beginning and forged a strong love-hate relationship with most managers but a slide in output from both him and the watford squad as a whole means his sale is justified especially for those who didn’t buy early as his price is rapidly falling.

Liverpools Adam Lalana is a curious case. Personally, ive not being a fan but he had form and a good fixture and the return of coutinho (confusing I know) could spark something again. Also there is no stand out go to option at the moment which makes selling before Swansea at anfield seem like a bad decision to me.

That’s it. Remember, reasons stated here can change and the writer isn’t trying to discourage any buyers or sellers but trying to check out the timing of the transfers. As always, your input is highly welcomed.

*The ticker used is from the official premier league mobile app.

SportsBots Vs Experts: Selecting The Best Team For The Week by Harvard13(op): 1:07am On Dec 17, 2016
Good evening and welcome to a new series I decided to work out on.

Choosing a team for a game week can be hard. Sentiments and personal preferences can cloud ones judgement. There have been many FPL sites that try to predict the team for the week but there is usually a large discrepancy.

My plan in doing this article is to compare human analysis (totw from experts on different sites) to AI analysis (totw from bots on different sites).

Now these sites are expected to churn out different teams every week irrespective of transfer limitations. The difference is that the experts bring their teams based on strict FPL formation and price while the bots simply bring out the best set of players from their algorithm projections.

For this study, I'll be using 5 sites. 3 have bots (fantasy football fix, first and assist) while 2 are human experts (fantasy football scout and geek).

The picture below is an excel representation of the data gotten. I didn't delve into stats. Just collated results by sorting by next game week scores (for the bots) and getting the teams for the experts.

http://harvardsports..com.ng/2016/12/bots-vs-experts-selecting-best-team-for.html#more

There is room for 3 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 7 midfielders and 5 forwards in the initial selection for the bots and these are given rank 1-7 with 7 being the highest. The players with highest rank points are then fitted into an FPL formation with a max cost of £86. Substitutes aren't used, a captain is also selected using the same method.

Another modification made was to reduce the number of defensive entrants from a team to 2 as most bots select based on fixtures and can pick all defenders from a team.

Hope you enjoy this piece.

The column in yellow are the top picks based on rankings by the 3 different bot sites (first 3 columns) and gives you a general idea of the players that the auto bots in general think will perform. The next two columns give the experts view from two popular sites. The column in orange lists the players that were selected by both sites. There is no ranking for the expert teams. Finally, the column in red collates the data from all 5 sites and tries to give the best possible combination of teams from both the bots and the experts. The last column is for players who for cost or maximum number of team mates missed the cut.

The team cost is 86.1. Pretty high but since we removed all human sentiment from the judgement and didn’t like the idea of “coverage”, we had to make do with Amat (the cheapest player listed).

Grant(4.2) was selected by 2 experts and 1 bot to claim our goal keeper slot. Rose(5.9), reid(5.0) and alonso(6.3) received nominations from at least 3 sites, more than any other defenders and also came top in the bots rankings. Sanchez(11.cool was picked by all the sites and he is joined in midfield by hazard(10.4) and eriksen(8.5) who received nominations from bots and experts. Up top, kane is the second player to get a pick from all 5 sites and gets captain nomination from 3 of them. Costa(10.9) and defoe(7.cool complete the line up.

Feedback is needed on the article so I know if its fun or useful at all.

TravelRe: Molade Street Ajegunle, Now A Small London -residents by Harvard13(m): 7:13am On Aug 17, 2016
Ayo25:
IN This Vaux Pop carried out at Molade (Swamp) Street by Wunmi Akolade and Nuru Adediran, the joyful residents commended Bam Darley Nigeria Limited the contracting company that handled the project.

However, from their comments it was pretty obvious that they really don’t know how the project came about. We informed them that Molade Street is one of the 114 road projects in Governor Ambode’s dream for a new Lagos.

However, the fund emanated from the local government. Ambode have the credit of encouraging compulsory saving by the local governments, it was such saving that made block fund available. Such encouraged the making of the mega roads.

As at this day, there are 114 roads like Molade Street in Lagos State.

-Jim Suleman

Molade Small London – IGNATIUS

I have been living here for several years. The road was so bad and people laughed at us for staying on this Molade Street. But now see how beautiful our road is, people are very happy about it.

If you come to this place at night, it is a beautiful spectacle. You will think you are in a small London, because, the Street lights are working. Although, light is on most Lagos Streets, so what we want now is water. I wish we have water too here.

Now that the road is good, the PSP for refuse collection should now come here to do what they ought to do.

This are minor things the common man expects from the government, so if we see such we will keep praying for the government.

The Press Also Tried – DAVID

The condition of Molade Street was too bad before this renovation, we thanked God for it. And you, the press have done a marvelous job. Today, we walk freely on Molade Street without any flood; it is really okay here now.

My next expectation from the government is to help some jobless youths. As at now some compounds on the street need renovation to compliment the beauty of the road.

Molade Street, a Dream Come True – JOHN OWUNAFA

I was born on this Molade Street, so I can tell you the history of this street. What I see now as new Molade is a dream I never thought will come true.

Formerly, when you talk of Swamp Street now Molade Street, people will laugh because the street was so bad, so dirty and with a rainfall you can’t pass through it. People’s compounds get flooded. I can’t believe I am alive to see what I am seeing today. I thank God for making the government to remember our street.

But they need to do more jobs in the local government area. Our present expectation from the state government is a transformer, because as we speak we are on a one-day on and one-day off electricity supply. Presently, about four streets share the same transformer which is located at Ohikere Junction. We also seriously need water.

Residents Should Maintain It – MRS. HELEN ONUMA

The condition of our street was worst that bikes, buses don’t come to our street, but now you can see bikes and traders operating freely. You have to agree with me that the difference is very clear. The government did great work here; I just prayed that those staying here will maintain the road so that it will be okay for everybody using it.

My expectation from the government is constant electricity. They have done the road, it is beautiful. I pray that God will make them continue the good work.

They Did Drainage since 2009 – MR. ADEOTI

We are grateful to God that the drainage they did since 2009 was eventually complimented with a standard road in 2016. We glorifY God that Gov. Ambode remembered our road.

What we expect now is not much; at least we now have a good road with street lights. The present electricity transformer is not adequate for four streets, they should provide us one to compliment our small London.

One Transformer for Four Streets – OLUSEGUN

He spoke in Yoruba and explained that the road was not fine in the past, but is now a beautiful place. He commended the Bam Darley Company for doing a good job. Flood was disturbing us, if we had the photo you would have understood what we suffered. The contractor tried for us, the generator powering the street lightshas been very effective.

We are suffering from lack of electricity. Molade, Ben Oyeka, Ohikere and John Okorie Streets are making use of one transformer. This is not ideal.

Everybody is Happy – BROTHER NNAMDI

I am a new tenant on this street but what I heard was the street used to be very bad. But it is now a good thing that the local government intervened. They did a lot. This place is now like London. Now Molade Street can be counted among the mega streets in Lagos State. Everybody is happy, if the local government continues with such good works, if nobody rewards them, God will reward them since everybody is happy. I can say I am one of the luckiest person to meet this fine development, because even at nights, I don’t need to worry if I have a generator or not. See the light shining on my shop, people come to buy some things here because there is light here.

So you can see that Lagos is working.

We Are Grateful to Them – IYA MARIAM

Iya Mariam who spoke in Yoruba said the area was too rough, flood everywhere once it rains. The government made us happy with the completed rehabilitation of our street. We are grateful to them.

What we now need is frequent electricity.

I Believed it is Work in Progress – LIZZY

Before now the situation of the road was so bad, especially during the rainy season. I believed it is work in progress, I also believed it will be fine, because the street is getting better already. We now have a good road with street lights.

We Will Connect the Drainages – AGBOLATIDE

I am a part of the company handling the project. The road was in a very bad shape but we came in and converted it into a mega road. As you pass through, you surely will find that the road is interlocked, the drainage covered, if you come here at nights, the place is glittering.

What is left to be done now is to connect the drainages.

I was hoping it was bae blowing me the last kiss for the night when I saw it was my ex's bf. We work in the same field and sometimes send each other different briefs. I mean we are cool but not ur know cool like that.

I replied him but me wey don high, trying to stay awake and chat with bae was hard work sef. I put my phone on silent and dozed off thinking it was brief he wanted to send.

I woke up early the next morning, ready for my work out when lo and behold I saw 30 messages, I wondered how and who and why I would receive so much. In my mind it was someone who added me to one of the stupid groups and as usual ready to remove myself sharply when I saw it was from this my ex's bf.

I didn't know what to reply cos I was dumbfounded.

ur 4 till whenever you graduate is clinicals...this finally makes ur writing unreadable to folks outside d "Bermuda triangle" cos during clinical practices and procedures you mostly on ur feet trying to make notes from what ur clinician or lecturer is saying or doing
