I don't think the information he provided is sufficient to give a categorical advise. emmanuelewumi: Should we be looking at another 20% gain in 2024, which will push the All Share Index to about 90,000.
It is very possible, our stocks are still cheap, with the current inflation and currency devaluation. Naia denominated assets will be repriced going forward There are many equities that their prices have not enjoyed the relative bull experienced from Jun to date. Some of them are large cap. The expected consolidation of Dangote Sugar and NASCON and the possible listing of Dangote Refineries are expected to make positive impact on the ASI. I am also confident that many foreign investors will be buying over some of the badly managed companies and make them subsidiaries for their foreign conglomerates. My outlook for 2024, both economic and equity wise, is bullish. |

phadriz: FYI, I don't think your portfolio can be up 60% of mine, so you are not in the best position to tell me to think big. My exposure in Trancorp alone is not for the kids. Even if I sell down today and put it in money market, I can never take paid job for life in Nigeria. So am not broke. You are thinking of taking 10m loan which is around £7k, and you feel am a broke guy. Faceless platform na leveller sha You will always find a way to beat your empty chest. phadriz: Go ahead and take loan then, you are sounding so confident as if you can always beat the market. Which due diligence are you talking about? A single govt policy will cancel the so called due diligence. My point is don't get carried away with the bullish in the market by taking uncalculated risk. Just imagine someone that took loan to buy Oando @ N16 believing it will rise to N20, it's almost 3 months we know the price of Oando now. A closed mind is a closed destiny. If I have access to funds, I will bet big on Oando. Investment success is not for the lilly livered. Go big or go broke. |

ositadima1: Based on current plans and progress, Ellah Lakes Plc is anticipated to commence revenue generation in 2025. Their 2,400 hectare oil palm plantation in Edo State is projected to commence oil production in 2024, and their cassava processing plant is also anticipated to be operational in 2024. Upon the operationalization of these facilities, Ellah Lakes will be able to begin selling their products and generating revenue.
Its total equity stands at 19.9 billion naira as at the end of July 2023, which has been increasing, primarily owing to land appreciation. The group has been incurring an average of 900 million naira annually to run the farm and business. I estimate that they will expend a total of approximately 2 billion naira before commencing revenue generation in 2025. This amount will be covered by land appreciation.
ELLAHLAKES possesses 5,000 hectares of land, with 2,100 hectares currently planted, while OKOMUOIL owns over 32,000 hectares of land, with 19,000 hectares planted.
Below is a simplified back-of-the-envelope calculation of what may be anticipated from ELLAHLAKES in 2025:
*Currently, OKOMUOIL generates 16.2 billion naira in profit after tax (PAT) from their 19,000 hectares.
*I project ELLAHLAKES to generate 1.8 billion naira in PAT from their 2,100 hectares proportionally.
*Assuming reduced efficiency due to ELLAHLAKES being relatively new, 0.8 x 1.8 billion naira = 1.44 billion naira in PAT.
*Earnings per share (EPS) of 1.44 billion naira / 2 = 0.72 naira.
*At the current price of 3.13 naira per share, the price-to-earnings (PE) ratio should be 4.34 compared to 14 for OKOMUOIL.
*Estimated dividend yield of (0.72 naira / 3.13 naira) x .8 = 16%.
Conclusion: If all goes well, purchasing it now or at a lower price, if feasible, would be akin to purchasing UCAP in 2020, lol.
Additionally, I have observed increased interest in the stock in the last 3 months. A stock that previously traded below 10 million naira in a month is now trading 300 million and 190 million naira monthly.
Have you factored in the recently completed Rights Issue, into the equation? |

LOCO can be likened to that man in BIBLE that was FORETOLD that GRAINS will be sold cheap within the next 24hrs but he won't PARTAKE in it .
We've told him SEVERALLY to go and APPEASE the gods but he STUBBORNLY refused.
Japaul should do daily ten ten percent for the remaining trading days in November. Caveat: This is not a buy, sell or hold recommendation.
