yMcy56: That's the work of the Valuers and will be subjected to monitoring by the relevant Regulators .
L The Equity Valuers knows what and what to consider to arrive at the appropriate value. They're professionals in the field. The number of issued shares of DANGFOODS will also be a significant factor as well as the exchange ratio. |

Mpeace: The man they are fighting is not even saying any thing. He knows he can easily pay off the said bad loan and still increase his stake in fbnh especially now that the directors and other stakeholders are observing the closed period. But he also knows that he is no longer liable for honeywell debts and If I were him, I will simply sue Ecobank for all the embarassment. The law is clear that a buyer buys both the assets and liability and that a guarantor only comes in once the company cannot pay back and has no asset to be attached. Flourmills already bought the assets and liabilities of Honeywell, and are therefore liable for the loans. Why chase the Oba around when Flourmills have not been liquidated. Its very unfortunate that most of our banks have very very poor legal departments. You need to see how many of them get messed up in courts across the country If FMN purchase agreement contains indemnity against future liability arising from any ongoing court case, they may be able to hold Oba responsible otherwise, sorry is their name. The devil is always in the details. Worst case scenario would be some slap on the wrist for Oba. |

debeey87: My worry is the OS for the combined company. When savannah shareholders were integrated into Dangsugar, the OS increased and not much for dividend. I still wondering how Nascon shareholders will be integrated without increasing the OS for the resultant company. The OS for Sugar, Salt and Rice will be cancelled and the Foods shares will be issued in exchange to the existing shareholders of the 3 companies. The exchange ratio is the koko and not until the proposed merger document is released, all discussions and decisions will remain guesswork. |

There needs to be some form of consolidation in the IT/Tech (Commercial Sector) where the likes of E Transact, Chams, Triple Gee, Thomas Wyatt, NSLTech, NCR, CWG etc will transform into like 3 or 4 dominant players. The current market capitalisation can make that easier to achieve. What do folks think about this? |

To build a country, it doesn’t take only 2 month. When the FG start rolling out the necessary program that’ll serve as palliative to the people, things will start to change.
All this indices you are seeing are what contributes to stability in the long run. Relax and stop being an angry bird over every positive Nigeria news. Anybody that wants to cry should cry, atleast he owns his tear. |

ositadima1: The euphoria of the new regime is helping the market right now. But, once the dust settles and investors realize that a lot of what is happening is superficial and the underlying problems remain, the market will react accordingly.
If we agree that bulls and bears are part of the market, then it is certain that bears will come.
The problem is that some stocks have risen almost parabolically, and that is the same way the bears will come. All these stocks that are making 300%, 200%, and 100% in just a few weeks – I hope people are booking profits, because when the bears come, it will be bloody. It may not allow those caught in it to pull out their funds without serious drawdowns.
Let me go back to my beer drinking. With the exception of a few names, what we are currently experiencing in the market is a repricing due to currency float. Thereafter, there will be consolidation and financial performance will be the major determinants of individual price direction. |
