Dum20: If your loved one did not leave a will behind. You and your brothers will become administrators of his estate if you have brothers.
If you are only son, you need to process Letter of Administration (LA).
Lawyers usually prepare LA. It is advisable to use a lawyer in the same state that your loved one lived and died in.
You can also use Meristem. Compare what the 2 will charge you and use the one you can afford.
They will explain the process to you.
It could take months to process Letter of Administration (LA as it is generally called) is not prepared by a lawyer! It is prepared by the Probate Registrar of the State High Court. Your surest bet is to approach the Probate Registry. It takes between 3 and 4 months before it's finally issued. If a lawyer is handling the processing for you it takes longer because of the back and forth of providing one more information or the other. It also saves you from unnecessary costs and fees. It's not every lawyer that's familiar with the process but they won't tell you and won't give it the attention it requires. |

onegentleguy: Don't give too much consideration to that part in bold. The agenda might be to produce an Apc flag brearer from the south but not the president.
The "math" might be to produce an Apc southern candidate who will SHARE THE VOTE from within the south with @ Peter Obi, the popular and now LP candidate, while @ Atiku A, the Pdp presidential flag bearer coast to victory by amassing a great No of vote in the North and an appreciable figure from the south. Current happenings in the south makes this a possibility.
Remember that the North almost always play an important role in determining who becomes your president. ...and with rare exceptions, the probability that a northerner will usually vote a northerner is always near 1. (I say this without an intent to any sought of ethnic division though) Lots to say, but I don't want to litter this place with political discuss.
This hypothesis (well, for now) has nothing to do with the forward dynamic of the market though. An Atiku presidency will also propel the mkt. At this time, investors are more concerned with having peace and security knowing their investments are safe, than having a given name as president. Our politicians are all the same. ...some are just a bit better than the others.
As I said before; The mkt is in accumulation mood... sideways trading is expected in the days ahead... but overall positive trend remains intact! Any pullback at this time should only be seeing as an opportunity to strategically align with select KEY fundamentally healthy coys. (some are already in a great entry zone) So it's a good thing you're buying now.
It is well. No one should set us on the road to SMN please! |

yMcy56: You don't have to panic if you have Lasaco however. The units you have will be divided by 4 and the price will be multiplied by 4.
For instance, if you have 40,000units, after reconstruction it will become: 40,000÷4 = 10,000units (post reconstruction)
The price will change by then: Closing as @ today = 0.42kobo Post reconstruction price = 0.42 X 4 = 1.68kobo. *Modified*
So you have nothing to loose.
** I suspect that Lasaco may likely come up with BONUS issue after the reconstruction or DIVIDEND which will become gain for you by then. ** So don't take any action in haste after suspension is lifted. You have everything to lose because the new price will obey the law of gravity! |

PETERiCHY: The Financial Times of London has described Nigeria as a country going backwards economically and plagued with terrorism, illiteracy, poverty, banditry, and kidnapping and risks becoming a failed state if things don’t take a drastic turn.
The UK-based newspaper said this in an editorial on Tuesday titled, ‘Nigeria at Risk of Becoming a Failed State’.
It said the abduction and subsequent rescue of over 300 schoolboys in Kankara, Katsina State, revived memories of the 276 Chibok schoolgirls abducted in Borno State in 2014.
