Is the UAD leader/Coordinator, Ebun-olu Adegboruwa not Tompolo's counsel?...Suddenly he is now a 'human rights activist' and not a lawyer abi?. People like him and Fayose, were the ones that contributed to the failure of the proposed protest. I have said it, until we have rallies and protests devoid of political, religious and ethnic sentiments, things will not change for the better.... |
shakablaiize:Such people are either poor, unhealthy or depressed already. Because if at 75 u are healthy, rich or comfortable and your children/grandchildren are doing great, u will not feel like leaving yet. |
JAYTUNEZ:Is there any IPERU REMO in Ibadan? |

Donjazzy12:Why didn't Toyin's ex hubby, Niyi Johnson, suffer the same fate?;It's not as if Toyin even married this Seun of a guy. They were just in a romantic relationship which did not even last 6months sef. In essence, the guy had always been a criminal hiding behind movie production as legitimate source of income. But, just as maurinho as Chelsea manager, overnight, became a 'failure',from being the 'special' one...Seun Egbegbe's time is up!. However, this does not mean some of these actresses are not fetish.. |
Omisore is just like ATIKU, they carry around this albatross that naturally prevents them from enjoying the goodwill of a majority of the electorate....I am sure this move is geared towards mending fences with Ooni ahead of the next election in the state...but it is dead on arrival! |
Jaquar456:You just spoke my mind!!!!.... The ones who refuse to join the bandwagon live an average life. In fact sometimes u see them on the streets and wonder if they are the same people you see in movies cos their life is even 'sub-average'. |
dhardline:When ladies who see her as a role model copy everything she does, that is no more mentorship, it is dogmatism. Unfortunately, like u observed many dogmatic ladies including celebrities will continue from where she stopped and take it to a higher level sef.. ![]() |
Mayflowa:No. She is 46yrs old. |
michoim:He still has more than three weeks in office. Passing the budget by a 'rubber stamp' assembly does not take time except there's crisis among members. So, this is more of a moral issue than a legal or constitutional one. Morally,he should have allowed the incoming administration do it,but legally, I THINK he still reserves the right to present the budget. |
They did not only kneel down, but they also used the hands they used to shake him to rub their faces immediately.....hmmmmmm. |
olumide81:You are right. Even with a PhD, someone with HND background can not lecture in the university. |
ibkgab001:Now that God turned his curse to blessing for you, is that not enough reason for you not to wish him evil? |
See the tact in his response-Trying to mend fences ahead of the time he will need Akiolu's endorsement. But really, I don't see Atiku becoming the president o... |
As celebrated as the confiscation is, the Irony is that the case may soon die a natural death... |
While in school, the day I got to know the denotative meaning of 'perimeter' that was the day I stopped cramming formulas for perimeters of different shapes...I began to solve most difficult mathematical problems involving 'perimeters' with relative ease.....In essence, teaching sciences in indigenous languages will help a great deal... |
'excessive display of superiority is a sign of inferiority complex'- anonymous. |
MarkGeraldo:Your observation is not out of place. But, what the OP stated is perfectly in order. Generally, most people in this category appear NOT to be sociable. That doesn't mean they don't know how to relate with others. They do. But, they, unconsciously, look out for people of substance, people who are genuine, people who are trustworthy, people who are reliable, people who understand them and won't take them for granted or capitalize on their shortcomings to cheat them. As such, it is difficult for SP (let's call them solitary people) to see these virtues or attributes in one person the first time they come across them. But, once they study someone and see you have most of these attributes, they can even make the first move to be your friend. And u know what?-they can be very jovial, friendly and sacrificial. Now, for example, if an SP guy sees these virtues in a lady and in addition he tends to have feelings of love for her, such a relationship can and will often stand the test of time. Why?. Because, he has UNCONSCIOUSLY sieved others out and gone for a lady who is first a FRIEND( because anyone with such attributes is indeed a friend) before being a LOVER. and what makes relationships, especially MARITAL ones stand the test of time is the bond of FRIENDSHIP not the fleeting emotions of LOVE. This is the way SPs have good relationships- they don't believe in quantity of people but they stick to qualities of people around them. |
After 'screaming for joy' as promised, you will later 'scream for help' ... Men need to be very careful these days. |
Gaara101:Lol@na to jump enter well if na Nigerian song. And truly most contemporary Nigerian songs leave you more depressed. ![]() Like u rightly noted, there are exceptions...but these exceptions are very few...and they are not as celebrated as the ones with anything-goes kind of music. |
musicwriter:..And Michael Bolton that wrote and sang the song may not even know someone somewhere on the continent of Africa got saved by the lyrics of his song. This is a lesson to our musicians who pay attention to beats ONLY and not lyrics....A lesson to our Actors, Scriptwriters, Movie Directors and Producers who give us movies without life-impacting contents....their works hardly outlive them.... |
Linda's house is now a tourist attraction... ![]() |
wellmax:I get your points. Yes, Funke has followers I am not disputing that. Every celebrity does let alone one that turned politician. I also remember when she made an attempt to get into the Oyo state house of assembly contesting on the platform of PDP and losing to APC in 2015. But, don't get me wrong, I am not against active participation of Youths as she has advocated-why should I?. There's no better time to be involved than now. What I am driving at is that the youths who want to venture into politics must be able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that they can effect the much needed change else we won't see any difference between them and the self-centred old politicians. How can they do this?- Let them discharge their 'non-political' responsibilities with DIGNITY AND INTEGRITY. It is when you do this that I can have confidence in you and vote for you. You can't give what what you don't have. Without sounding sanctimonious, the chances of someone, found wanting morally, before venturing into politics, becoming a politician of integrity, are very slim....and who do we need in Nigerian political terrain if not competent men and women of proven integrity and empathy. About Tuface, Davido etc...I chose my words carefully, I said SOME of them, I didn't generalize. Here's an example- there were celebrities who participated in the protest against Subsidy removal during Jonathan administration, where are they now?. or perhaps, where were they when Buhari administration did the same thing they protested against?. Wait and see the celebrities that will join this forthcoming protest, that's when you'll see that the entertainment Industry is divided along political and tribal lines. If this doesn't happen, I will gladly and humbly eat my words. This is not even a celebrity thing, the day Muslims protest killings of Christians in Southern kaduna and Northerners protest the killings by Fulani herdsmen, the day Christians protest bombing of mosques in the North, the day NLC protests against deplorable state of things and not just for salary increase, then protests will begin to make sense... In short, YOUTHS who are interested in politics must go into it with integrity and change things for the better, and those who are not cut out for it, should equally play their roles well in nation building ....However I agree with u that everyone is a 'political animal' but this should not becloud our sense of patriotism ![]() |
wellmax:Yes, participation of youths is not entirely a bad idea as u have put it. But, the guy u quoted is not entirely wrong either. Now, the lady asking us to join Politics, was once an actress. In her capacity as an actress, how did she impact her world?. Did u know you could change someone's mindset by the movies u act, direct or produce?. Did she leave such a legacy? The impression I had about her was not pleasant one...that's the reason some are calling her 'olosho'. Not because she is an actress, some actresses would make the same statement and lots of people would respect their view. So tell me, what do I expect from such a lady if she becomes a politician? Same applies to those who want to protest. In their capacities as artistes, how have most of them helped their society?. Are they not the same people singing about Drug, glorifying sexual promiscuity and all sorts of unhealthy lifestyles?. Some of them are protesting because they fell out of favour with the current government. The same way those who are benefitting greatly will keep mum despite the messy situation we have found ourselves in. In short, as individuals we must do things right, call a spade a spade, we must act in the interest of the nation and not allow our self centerdness take the better part of us in whatever position we might be occupying. Not everyone will be a politician, but everyone can differentiate what is right from what is wrong.. |
Loisemm:Do you actually believe there are 1.7million members on Nairaland?. I don't think so. Many have multiple accounts, some have dormant accounts while most members are not even active..though there are thousands of guests sha. The guy raised some valid points, though, like u rightly pointed out, he is seeking attention cos he could av left without informing anyone. However, the moderators and the owner of the site should not take expressions like this with levity. The truth is Nairaland of today is a far cry from Nairaland of 6-10 years ago. Sometimes I wonder what would have become of the site if Instagram and Twitter were not in existence. Most of the topics that hit the FrontPage are mundane, while very educative ones are kept in the background- the reason for doing this is just to increase traffic. While this is not entirely out of place, moderation is the effect of wisdom. The quality of topics on FrontPage determines the kind of contributions which also reflects the personality of the Mods, owner of the site and even members. So, back to the OP....I give u 'like' ![]() |
Mimzyy:Spot on. God bless you with more wisdom to enjoy your marital life. |
sekem:No be me...but my own dey come ![]() |
sekem:The lyrics will change to ''MMM is GONE again o..MY salary is GONE AGAIN...MY houserent o is GONE again....'' ![]() |
Tomorrow now he will deny saying it. Or 'I was quoted out of context'.......but deep down he truly believes he doesnt 'owe them a dime'. |
QuietHammer:He also read some books...ancient books not many had access to. |
draz500:It doesn't matter...just laugh it off joo...no big deal..I know u felt embarrassed because she made the statement in the presence of people who, till then, might have seen her as a highly exposed woman-u think such a statement degraded her and u too...But, looking at it from her angle she was right to av asked the question...so, no your wife did not mess up!!! |
when celebrities do shitty stuffs like this, they become a big part of the problem cause a lot of ladies who have her as their role model will want to do same thinking it's OK. Totally Shitty
