PoliticsRe: Bitumen Shipment To Nigeria By Geneva Energy Firm Commences by HCF(m): 3:59pm On Sep 09, 2016
Funny how most of us are just beginning to see the degree of rot and absurdities In the system we operate in Nigeria.Importing Bitumen from Cotdevoir,South Africa and Venezuela when we have over 40billion barrels in our backyard?. And we wonder why Naira keeps falling against dollar?...SMH

Apart from the Bitumen in its raw form, which oozes out from the ground in Agbabu, Ondo state, Nigeria also has tarsand, (Oil sand) in the Eastern Dahomey basin stretching from Lagos thru Ogun to Edo and Ondo states. From Oilsand, Bitumen can also be extracted.

Apart from its use in road construction, Bitumen can be converted to SYNCRUDE,synthetic crude oil...just like the normal crude oil; this is how Canada generates millions of dollars yearly..in fact over 60% of the canadian revenue comes from the tar sand business.

This fact is not hidden from the Government all these years, what is lacking is the political will...I hope this administration would match words with action in this regard.

lewispius:
Davido still hasn’t released one single song in the entire 2016 which is proving his music deal with Sony is a wrong move – at least for now.

The singer had GIVEN African music hope when he penned a deal – which he said was worth $1million after months of music barrenness. Now fast forward September the singer can’t catch a breathe.

BusinessRe: 19 Facts About Dangote’s Refinery And Petrochemical Plant by HCF(m): 7:34am On Sep 08, 2016
Love Machine:
Dangote is exploitative.
If that's your understanding of his business acumen, then I think exploitation that results in the aforementioned benefits is far better than the conspiracy of other influential cabal who brought the country's economy down on its knees!

God bless u jare Kunle for your observation. Ronnie Dikko,on and off screen is a decent and disciplined woman...and despite being in her fiftees too, she is still quite attractive without any unnecessary display of cleavages..

Olusola Oke is the only person that should be saying this. The delegate list was doctored for Abraham and Akeredolu.
I see Tinubu trying to rubbish Akeredolu and not supporting Oke because He jst decamped to APC.
Is it possible to doctor a list for two aspirants?.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Commissions Osogbo Government High School (#osunat25) by HCF(m):
I don't know why I am not moved by this beautiful structure called a School. Maybe it's because I have the feelings most Governors embark on such projects, not only to show off, but to siphon money: despite this beautiful edifice, and a host of other so-called policies, including the mini laptops given to students, Osun state performance in education is still NOTHING to write home about. In fact, in the last rating by WAEC, Osun was 29th coming just before seven NORTHERN states known to be educationally disadvantaged....something is just not right somewhere!.

FamilyRe: Playful Relationships : Yes Or No? by HCF(m): 11:17am On Aug 27, 2016
The word ' Ode', TO ME, is derogatory, just like the word ' Were' ( mad person). Ironically, people use it freely with their friends and loved ones but I find it extremely difficult to call even an enemy 'were' let alone a Friend/ loved one.

Personally, I CAN NOT live with a lady who is not playful. In fact, that's one of the major attributes I look out for in ladies, but using words such as ' Ode' 'Were' is out of it....I still prefer 'Otondo'( used for corpers), Oniranu, Oniyeye... smiley

PoliticsRe: Igbo Move To Boost Southeast Economy by HCF(m): 9:35am On Aug 26, 2016
Good move. I hope the South Easterners would be committed towards realizing the set objectives. This should inspire other geo-political zones methinks!. At the end of the day Nigeria would be the better for it.

Le boo abi? When the time reaches for les children to give gift, you won't see nobody!
The current Prime Minister of Britain married early and has been married for over thirty years, but has no child: She expresses regrets over her barreness saying they,(she and her husband) really tried their best, but it never happened....Most of us are aware of similar cases around us.

What am I driving at?; certain things are just beyond us as humans...You might find it easy to be married early in life, someone else would experience great difficulty achieving same, ...Conceiving might be an easy task for you, but someone may never acheive it..Haven't you seen someone younger, less intelligent and less hardworking, yet richer and more famous than you are?...

In short, it is insensitive to make mockery of Funke Akindele just because she SEEMS to have failed in an aspect of her life by being single at 40...Do you know what awaits you as a Single person too?... Or what awaits you as a Married person?...or better still, what awaits your Children?...Life is full of mysteries, if u speak of another person's failure with pleasure, you would hear of your own with bitterness!

If u can't empathize with her, simply wish her a Happy Birthday and move on!!

Marotzke:
His first exposure to administration and real politics was as a personal assistant to Ojo Maduekwe in the ministry of culture. Second exposure and upgrade was as special assistant (Director) to Ojo Maduekwe minister of transport. It was after this special assistant job that he became senior advisor government relations to Exxon Mobil. His principal contact in government was still Ojo Maduekwe. Ojo Maduekwe nominated him and got Obasanjo to appoint him FRSC chairman and CEO. One of the last appointments Obasanjo made as president. From there he became his own man, Ike Obosi and Minister.
I remember he became the FRSC boss at the age of 39. The youngest person to be appointed by OBJ then. He must've been a brilliant chap, for him to achieved that much within a short time..
CelebritiesRe: Six Celebrity Marriages That Crashed In 2 Years by HCF(m):
One thing about life is this: what u focus on is what happens to you.

Ever wondered why the world is not at peace?; one of the major reasons is because the attention of the world is on conflicts, wars and violence. Just tune to CNN, AL JAZEEERA,BBC...and even Nigerian TV stations...

What am I driving at?. Enough of 'Celebrities whose marriages collapsed after one year bla,bla...' Instead, let's have 'Celebrities who have been married for years and still remain married'. Tell the stories of Joke Silva, Rita Edochie, Victoria Nyama, Omoni oboli, Omotola, Chimamanda Adichie...

Joavid:
Are you talking from experience?

As much as this growing trend of Nairalanders discouraging wedding ceremonies, I look forward to mine, infact am saving for it- small guest list but classy and fun.

The wedding is for the bride as well as the groom, so they should both contribute to it.
I am not against weddings, but I am against ostentation that accompanies most weddings these days. I am against excessive attention to WEDDINGs and poor preparation for MARRIAGE.

You want a 'small guest list, but classy and fun', Great!...as long as u don't pay through the nose ,because what is small to u, might be big to another.

In essence, cut your coat according to the cloth....Remember, after WEDDING comes MARRIAGE!.Cheers!

FamilyRe: Hello Nlanders, What's The Not So Good Trait You Inherited From Your Parents? by HCF(m): 4:31pm On Aug 16, 2016
AnusOdourInhaler:
I inherited a very disturbing pride from my mother. Now, don't get me wrong, an example of the 'pride' I meant here is, yesterday, I was about boarding school bus, so I stood in queue like everyone, and when is my turn , the 'conductor' instead of serving me, he served another lady that came before me, that action immediately triggered the pride, and my thoughts were, 'this guy just treated me like a shiitt because I'm boarding a subsidized school bus?', 'what did this honorable fooool takes me for?', so I just left the queue and took another public bus to my destination. I find it very difficult to resist such circumstances, and it happens a lot... As a side note, most people said that I'm a nice guy and easy going.
This is my problem...
You may have inherited ' Pride' from your parents, but the way u reacted in that situation you illustrated was just normal. You were taken for granted and nobody likes it...u left out of annoyance.

For me, It is excessive generosity! smiley
