The hotel owner perhaps is ignorant of the fact that he could become an accomplice and liable for allowing his premises to be used for cybercrime, in contravention of section 3 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act. The section provides that, a “person who, being the occupier or is concerned in the management of any premises, causes or knowingly permits the premises to be used for any purpose which constitutes an offence under this Act is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not less than 5 years without the option of a fine”.

How do you determine that a hotel owner "knowingly" permits his premises to be used for cybercrime.... A type of crime perpetrated strictly via electronic devices, operated within the confines of hotel guests' private rooms?

Had a terrible experience at Emeka Offor Plaza. I went there to get a phone only to end up at the shop of a supposed software engineer because I was with my other device that had issues. He said he was going to scan a dead device to see the problem and then someone good at hardware would fix it based on his recommendations.
He nonchalantly told me that it was just #15 per scan so I asked him how many things he was going to scan which he ignored. Before I knew it they were more than 10 guys, at the end of the day he brought out one rubbish from his system claiming he scanned about 700 information that my bill was #10,500. That was where the harassment started. I ended up paying #6,500. Even before I left there, I knew it was a fucking scam. I was just at a loss how someone would rent a shop at a plaza just to be carrying out that kind of rubbish scam.

Being responsible for her damn self.... That's easy to say if you're in a good place. Man, people have different graces and opportunities in life. Some would lose their way in the difficult journey of life. This thing no be by 'hustle' or power. When you happen to be fortunate, enough to even shell out N10s of millions to buy a single car and hundreds of millions to acquire a single house, mannnn, it's ridiculous for you to allow your own immediate family you grew up with to 'go to hell' as it were. Such that random outsiders would taunt you that they saw your sister loitering around, looking raggedy and begging for peanuts. God forbids.

There are bungalows that cost N10m or less to buy, which you can buy for each of your siblings that are struggling - to permanently kill the rent struggle matter. This will cost less than one of your stupid 'G Wagon' nonsense cars you buy to show off. You can even pay a subvention of N100k a month to your struggling sibling, to keep them afloat. That's for those that seem unable to make anything for themselves if you give them lump sums to start a business or whatever.

The way I see this family thing is that, good or bad, they're your destiny. It's just like having 'special needs' children (God forbid). You can't leave them to roam the streets and become destitute. You have to accept that since they're already there, it's your obligation to do your bittiest bit at the very least to care for them and sustain them, and that's even worst case scenario.

I'm happy to be my family's ATM, although all my siblings are doing okay now. But even prior, the motivation to achieve this outcome was my biggest drive. Family is my last refuge. In money and glory, everyone enjoys. In penury and trouble, everyone rallies round and comforts each other to the death. So help us God.
