Money man. |
damon:Stop spinning stupid lies to misinform and mislead the gullible public. Her husband, Modupe Alakija, is a Lawyer and NOT a geologist. He doesn't know zilch about the technicalities of oil prospecting or exploration, let alone be in a position to make any meaningful decision on such matters. He is just a figurehead, if not, why is he merely the titular "chairman" of Famfa yet he doesn't own enough shares there to be a dollar billionaire? Why is Folorunsho the Forbes rated owner of the company and not him? |
MrMcJay:The annual revenues of ALL of these firms put together is not up to the monthly net income of Alakija's Famfa. Now, rationalise that. |
FBIL:Which oil bloc does Afe have a stake in? I'm curious because the man's wealth is unexplainable. Certainly didn't come from pure law practice. |
The senator is a great guy, no doubt. Excellent dancing skills for a man of his age and status. Life shouldn't be serious all the time. Otherwise it would be insufferable. |
ireneidiva:His spirit is even more horrible. |
Missxxyz:This girl fine ohh. |
ladygudhead:Well, as a lady that gives gud head, you have a gud chance of receiving the 'grace' you crave. Pray that you give that gud head to the right person. The rewards can be quite bountiful. Ask Alakija. |
At her peak (the heady days of $100 pb oil, this Alakija of a woman was raking in close to $10m daily from her stake in Agbami Oil Field/OML 127. You read that right.. DAILY. At current oil prices with current industry trends, what goes into her bottomless pockets daily should range between $2m to $4m DAILY (after taxes, deductions, divisions, subtractions, etc). Yep. Average of let's say $3 million American dollars everyday. That's yet another proof that hard work can only put food in your stomach. It cannot rocket you to the skies and beyond. |
This is very impressive. Never been a Peugeot fan, but with this, I'm now a convert. |
For those who don't know, this guy's work with Action Alliance and the so-called Red Cross is tied to Rochas. In other words, his entire life and career has been dedicated to the servitude of Rochas. You can fill in the gaps and imagine the rest. An idiot who hasn't proven himself anywhere. Just like that he might become governor, while the rest of you "hard workers" slave away. That's life in Nigeria for you. |
Smh. Think outside the box. Go out more often. Get inspired, and get desperate. Your eyes would open and you'd despise the very idea of having a mumu salaried job in this shithole country. It's all in your head. |
Yes. But it all depends on what you freelance. If its the usual stuff many people slave over, Fiverr this and that, then na you sabi. Ambitious peeps would rather freelance something bigger and more lucrative. Unless your ambition is to live from hand to mouth till you drop dead. Freelance Aza, freelance connecting solid transacts (middle man), chook head where e dey happen. Millions (Naira o, USD o, GBP o, EUR o) are being shared and diverted daily, worldwide, on and off the Internet, and the world still quiet like say nothing happen. Abi, as a young man, you no wan build house for Lagos, own a decent and conservative N20m whip garage, travel at least once a year abroad on vacay, marry and prevent heat rashes for your wifey and pikin bodies, groove one or two fun hotspots weekly, and sample some of the sweet girls for town? All na freelancing. The right freelancing. I don talk my own. |
For the first time on Nairaland, massive means massive. Now this is what I'm talking about. My spec of specs. |
deepwater:Funny enough, the money you spend knowing all the relevant 'someones' (and maintaining those 'knowing' relationships) eventually outstrips the cost of acquiring needed assets and capabilities. But what do they know? Nothing. The country doesn't merely ignore competence. It penalises competence. It relegates merit. It scorns and spites ability. The system is rotten. Otherwise these kinds of companies should have long gone bankrupt no sooner than they were registered. If the system weren't rotten, many idiots who claim to be "successful businessmen" or billionaires would be paupers. It's a shithole country in the fullest sense. We're in deepwater, or ehm, deep shit. |
Looks like it's MTN buying it through the back door. Coded lords of money like Pascal Dozie and Tunde Folawiyo (Nigerian pillars of MTN). They simply keep quiet and pull the damn trigger when no one is looking. Still better than that obese murrafucka Mike Adenuga buying it and running it like a baba jebu lotto shop. |
lastempero:Corporate governance is nonexistent in most Nigerian companies, including JaPaul. It's crazy how someone would float his company on the stock exchange and still run it as it it's a privately held sole proprietorship. While shareholders are lamenting, Jegede Paul is living like a king, with his multi-billion lifestyle. Greedy man. |
Marriage of how many months? Wait until two or three years (if you'd last that long), and then come back to tell us the scores. You can't rush here after just two days of marriage to talk about being worth the wait. The scam is still in progress, scales haven't fallen off just yet. |
But if it's to speak big and empty English on AIT's Focus Nigeria, that is the only thing INEC's officials know how to do. Especially that Yoruba loudmouth INEC Commissioner, can't remember his name now. This country is a stupid joke. Incompetent fools occupying every vital government and private sector office.... Wearing fancy suits and brandishing useless qualifications, but almost always, they simply CANNOT GET THE JOB DONE WITHOUT EXCUSES. Yet they'll draw fat salaries, allowances and millions in under the table deals, and would also get the bragging right to flash their useless 'big position' in our faces and form high achievers. What exactly have they achieved when nothing works under them? So so so annoying. |
babaireti:These attributes you mentioned are at the core of what it takes to be a member of the Armed Forces in sane countries. The more of these you possess, coupled with the physical and tactical elements, the more qualified you are to even ascend to the elite sections of the force. Restraint and endurance is critical to professionalism and discipline in any Armed Forces. Without this, what you'll have is just a uniformed militia comprising hurriedly assembled scallywags. That's what we have in Nigeria unfortunately. That's why they are the most unprofessional and undisciplined armed forces in the world. Bunch of useless thugs. |
debolayinka:Suffering? Were they forcefully conscripted into the Armed Forces, or did they join voluntarily (with plenty legwork nepotism, connection, etc)? Didn't they know what they were going in for before begging and scheming to join the military? |
Dottore:Save your stupid preaching for the korofo idiots who regularly oppress and maltreatment unarmed civilians. So the fools don't know that the khaki they're wearing that is giving them a big head is a mere privilege? |
Beautiful!!! My name is 'Hedonistic', and I am a proud Catholic. |
He sure looks like a billionaire here. |
This story is fake, or extremely garnished. |
Nonsense. |
The number of foolish men these days is mind boggling. A dirty girl is obviously playing you like ludo, and yet you're here seeking advice. Is this not a straightforward matter? |
cletz991:Oh well. His palm kernels were cracked for him by the proverbial benevolent spirits.... rooted in illegality, of course. But that's comforting. Maybe our own children would have even far more than that 'privilege'. Even if we have to do the dirty work for them. No stories are tenable. Just make money. Bleep morality. |
frugal:Na so. Shebi na sand e take start the companies? As per business Wizkid. We all know the drill. Make money through a 'source' and then launder your money and image by forming businessman. Normal. But what the poster you quoted (and me too) is interested in is the 'source', not the cover face business. Shey na Gee (and if so, which branch of Gee), shey na oil bunkering, dagbo, kidnapping, extortion racket, political gunguism? That's what we want to know first. |
Otedollaryen:Even the bank instruments racket (dem confirmable swift, SBLC, BG, etc.). It's endless. |
dvkot:So what's the 'but'. |
dvkot:Smh. What do you know as 'wire wire'? You think it's only one dimension? BEC/CFO/Invoice/Mandate diverts pull in millions of dollars for some people and it's still part of wire. So there's really no limit to how much these guys can make from wire wire. |
