Christianity Etc › Re: What Are The Problems Of An Atheistic Position? by HEFAIROHLUWA(m): 8:07pm On Feb 03, 2019 |
Seun: I guess the main problem with the atheist position is its unpopularity.
We can fix that by engaging religious people in constructive conversations more often. Helping them to see that not only is there no good reason to believe that any God or gods exist, but that we can have better morals, success, happiness, health, family lives, etc in our societies without believing in any God or gods. Regarding the bolded...I engaged in this debate on fb months ago so I think that will be impossible.. Wont it? Because I think some people are just evil so they need to be controlled unfortunately with fear..Fear of the unknown, Fear of the future, Fear does the job, Fear of eternity. |

Seun: You are absolutely right, but I think it is obviously more difficult to stop yourself from cheating if your spouse is not physically attractive to you; if he/she is not your type.
I believe that sexual attraction is the engine oil of marriage. Without it, you will have too much friction and overheating. If Anfieldboss likes curvy women, he should not sentence himself to a lifetime of never being allowed to touch any curvy woman. It is highly unrealistic. Marriage is never easy, but some marriages are less difficult than others, in my view.
@anfieldboss: [b]Some helpful facts: (a) curves (which are made of fat) do not age well as they tend to lose shape over time. (b) people often gain curves (fat) as they grow older - especially after marriage or pregnancy. pleasantly curvy people could become obese as they grow older and skinny people could become curvy misunderstood i think |

ClearFlair: Corruption is Nigeria’s number one problem. It’s either we eliminate corruption fast or it will totally consume our nation. Buhari is the only leader who has shown any interest in fighting corruption. People say his anti-corruption war is one-sided but for me, even if it one-sided it is progress.
People say things are hard but do not realize things are hard because of the mismanagement and corruption in the previous administrations. A country cannot lose so much money and expect everything to be normal a few years after. If you now factor-in the fact that the price of oil has dropped and Nigeria’s major source of revenue is oil, you’ll see why we seem to be going through a dark patch. But if you look at figures now you will see things are gradually improving so why would I want a change of government when things are now beginning to gradually lookup.
About the herdsmen issue, I have never seen a herdsman carrying a gun. There have been several attacks by cattle rustlers in places like Zamfara and Sokoto. When it happens in Zamfara they call them bandits but when it happens in Benue or Plateau they politicize it and call them Fulani herdsmen. Who do you think politicizes these things? Of course it’s the opposition party. And the truth is these attacks have been happening before Buhari came into power but media coverage wasn’t as much and it was not politicized. A party that loots and also politicizes the deaths of innocent for political gain is both desperate and deadly and is not fit to govern.
Now they say Buhari is an enemy of democracy because a corrupt judge was suspended on the recommendation of a court. Who doesn’t know corrupt people buy judgement in Nigeria. The judiciary needs to be sanitized because the corruption there really runs deep.
We have been complaining about the recycling of the same old politicians. I can categorically tell you that another 4 years for Buhari is the quickest way to welcome a new breed of politicians. Imagine if Atiku came in and did 8 years after looting Nigeria dry he will now hand over to people like Saraki, Wike, Fayose, Dino etc. These people are known for their greed. How on earth will you wrestle power from them and how will Nigeria survive that?
I have been privileged to speak with people in government and the plans these technocrats have cannot be matched by PDP. They simply do not have the intellectual capacity to conceive or deliver such projects to Nigerians.
Buhari is not perfect but he his the best option we have and he has good intentions for Nigeria. I’m convinced another four years under Buhari will set Nigeria on the path to greatness. The Next Level mantra is not a joke. I have seen the master plan. God bless Nigeria. Thank you jare. Well said... |

Tetehjewels: All this PDP wailing has been their so called issue based campaigns.
All of them dey craze Now they are claiming constitution..Is the rule of law so prevalent in nigeria especially with the corrupt judiciary? How many folks ranting here really know what happens behind the court curtains...when you get case for court you go sabi.. Nigerians are hypocrites unfortunately we've still not learnt our lesson...we need to go back to the year 1966, study, learn and observe. Its unfortunate that the truth of what really happened that year is still hidden from lots of nigerians up till this moment. The same greed, selfishness and tribalism is still being played up till today..Unfortunately most of our politicians aint different from those that pulled the shot that year. THE SAME GREED AND TRIBALISM STILL BEING PLAYED...ONE TRIBE THINKING THE OTHER IS READY TO SIDETRACK the other in resources...We have selfish people up there none setting the path right for future generations |

But being smart and clever is the game she should have forseen the outcome but I want to believe she is just preparing for the future-This was evident in her reason to join a coalition..I think Nigerians now know the winning party. ArcSEMPECJ: .........
So you supported or support Buharo because of transparency?..... Did he tell you about his son's #100million naira power bike before he opened our tax payers money to him, somebody not working?...... When he nominated his ministers after six months in office, did he call you to tell you out of transparency that some of them don't have NYSC or WAEC certificate Do you know that the whole service chiefs / political offices are all northerners mostly Muslims,...did he tell you about such transparency?... Is like you don't know the meaning of transparency?
You talk of how we the youths are now seeing what is happening in politics..... The PDP you are talking about that did us strong thing,...Amaechi was once one of them,..his minister.... You've contracdicted yourself with the above..Were all these things and lapses evident and transparent during the pdp administration? Ofcourse not! Moreso you mentioning buhari is he the one to personally check these necessary qualifications? Fine there were lapses and he buhari has so much lapses but most of these things were caused by previous administrations which should have tackled, enforced and ensured things years back not now when we should be dealing with other things.. The same folks that caused all these are still the ones pointing fingers..#sofunny Now define transparency in your own terms.. |

Statistically speaking I think this election can be predicted because its simple arithmetic..It will be a win for pmb...No taking of sides here..The north and south west is a win for him not counting the ones that will and secretly support from the East. The thing PDP do nigeria no be strong thing o ...Cos he pass wetin we fit call strong thing sef...We all in this mess because some people writing letters now back then during their administration rode on the fact that they were in that position and mismanaged funds pluging us into debts..Now an associate of the same administration want to go back there...Whether he atiku meant to correct or do somethig right now the fact still remains that he was a greedy fellow and we reelecting such proves that Nigerians are careless slaves and crazy risktakers--- ...One thing I love about the current administration is the transparency. Young teenagers and young adults now know what is going on in our politics this is something worth celebrating...Its a major footstone...Now dats me statistically speaking.. |
