Good morning guys, please I need a help. My brother went to interview at the Lagos consulate last year and he was told to get a DNA test done which he did and he submitted his documents to the OIS services. When he got a mail to pick up his passport, he went to get it but there was no visa in his passport and he was given the same slip requesting a DNA. At this point, we are confused and we don’t know what to do. We have contacted the embassy and sent a mail to the DNA office but there’s no response at all.

Has anyone had this type of experience before? Does anyone have an ideas what need to be done?

I think this case is beyond what online strangers can solve for you. Most especially, online Nairaland strangers. Many of them are inexperienced in this level. They will rush to tell you to spoil the marriage.

You should get the grandfather of your daughter, the husband family or people he respects alot, and other marriage experienced and wise people involved.

It's most likely a scam. You cannot tell me there is no one in Canada including immigrants (Indians included) that can take that job.

Your friend should be careful. Once they ask him for any money, he should run.

The man should get a lawyer if his case is complicated.

What I know is that if the man is not a criminal, a drug addict and no proof of him being abusive to his children, he can get 50pct custody in court by just showing up in court even without a lawyer.

Women requesting full custody and all assets when they file for divorce in western countries is a general standard template. It doesn't mean she will get all the "wish list" on the template in court.

I just want to add that you can stay in the St. Finbars' College Road axis, from Chemist Bus stop to Pako Bus stop. There are some nice and safe neighborhood around that area. You can also consider Fola Agoro area, this is around Pako going to Yaba Tech area.

There is no database to search this. You have to understand the US and the world to argue how important is your endeavor to the United States.

I will say Marine Security is of national importance to the US. You have to tailor your arguments towards 1. Security of the US sea port of entry and water ways such as adequate security of these prevent the US from external threats that can come through them. External threat could be terrorists, human and sex trafficking, etc. 2. Commerce. The sea ports are of very economic and commercial importance to the US. Safety and security lapses at these ports can have serious devastating effect on the economy of the country. 3. The sea and the oceans surrounding the US are also of national security against foreign adversaries like Russia, China etc. The US Coast Guard, Marine and Navy can use your expertise.

These are the ones I can think for now. There are many ways you can argue how Marine security is of national importance to any country.

Having said that, you must research data, articles, publications to back up all your claims of how Marine security is important to the US.

Since you can afford to pay 2M per year to rent, I will advise you to look for a property to buy. There are properties where you can put down payment and spread the rest over some years. I am guessing you are living in a major city like Lagos or Abuja or Portharcourt etc.

If not, move out of his house and find another place to rent. You are not a poor renter and they just want to take advantage of that.

I can relate to this too. My first moniker was registered in 2006, fresh from college.
