Eko Ile: Silly and irrelevant clowns endorsing a major clown, ain't that a beesh? How relevant are you bullhead? If you are against those actors supporting who they want as president then something is wrong with you. So they will only be relevant to you if they came out supporting Buhari( a coup plotter). |

If there is anyone who plans to forment trouble in Bauchi state, it certainly would be Yuguda of the PDP. Are you saying the Nigeriens were gonna vote PDP if they were not caught. Damn it. |

recoome: @TINUBU4LIFE: i live opposite alimosho LGA secretariat, in the street that houses first bank, in case u dnt know, all those pple u mentioned are only on paper, even the ACN(oduntan) & PDP(segun) candidates 4 house of assembly are in trouble, an igbo woman 4rm ANPP(uzoma) is currently blazing the trail, she has been going 2 churches & oda gathering which has high igbo presence and selling herself, many pple have already declared for her, including my mum, the ACN candidate is rather docile and has never presented herself 2 d public, what ACN is now doing is 2 put their flags on all the street lights, even ribadu is unknown here, the few pple that saw some of his posters that 'Nuhu' is contesting(they dnt know him as ribadu) as for BB, its just yesterday that some BB supporters started pasting BB posters, but by night, the ACN pple remove them, Most pple dont even know that BB is contesting, aregbesola & orelope are known only in the interior villages of ayobo/ipaja, except that the market at iyana-ipaja is named after aregbesola, also most of the northern okada men & tomato sellers have BB stickers, but they are nt registered 2 vote, when i went 2 ikotun market, i asked some pple who dey'll vote 4, most of them said they were in love with goodluck, when i asked their reasons, it was obviously silly reasons such as:he's humble, he's God sent, he's 4rm a poor home, he suffered when he was small, he has ph.d, he will win ! Lets live alimosho & go 2 amuwo-odofin(festac/satelite/trade-fair) these areas are seriously igbotic in nature as igbos constitute over 70% of the pop there, ribadu wil nt even get 20% votes there, what of ojo(alaba, okoko, volks, agric and environs) i dnt av 2 remind u dat these are GEJ/BB districts due 2 over-bearing igbo/hausa presence, coupled with fashola's poor showing in that area. Bottom line's that GEJ is more likely 2 win in lagos followed by ribadu, then BB. What's the meaning of Igbotic? |

yeswecan: I respect Nollywood's right to voice support for any candidate or party - In theory these folks are doing the right thing but in practice they have to justify the decision since they consider themselves worthy of endorsing someone. Thence when Nnaji said "i want him back" she should as well tell us what he has done so far to call for his return and when the dwarf -like girl said "i just need someone i can trust" she should tell us why we should trust the same PDP that destroyed our country for 12 years.
These are clowns and puppets controlled shrewdly to put up this display. I decidedly refuse to see the motive behind this if not selfish interest- not that PDP has done some great stuff lately to warrant this blessing. What would you have done if they came out supporting a coup plotter like buhari? Praise them? |

Angry voters in Anchau, Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Saturday set ablaze the INEC office in the area after chasing away the members of staff of the commission. Many of the voters who claimed to have arrived at the various polling stations in the area as early as 6.30am, decided to go to the INEC office to verify the reasons for the delay in the arrival of election officers and voting materials. An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, told our correspondent that tempers flared and a violent protest ensued when there was no INEC official on hand to explain the situation to the demonstrators who subsequently set the INEC office in the area ablaze. Unspecified number of persons were also said to have been injured. Several calls put through by our correspondent to the INEC Acting Public Affairs Officer, Mrs. Fatima Bande, were not answered. Also in Zaria, irate youths numbering about 500 beat up and stripped naked a man suspected to be in possession of ballot papers at a polling unit in Durumin Maigarke. The police unsuccessfully tried to rescue the suspect. The youths tore his dress and used it to tie his hands behind him. The Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties and second republic governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, alleged that the postponement of the election was a ploy by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party to secure an extension of the tenure of its current political office holders. Musa alleged that since the 1999 constitution allowed the government in power to remain in office till the conduct of the next election, the PDP government was taking every step to truncate the April elections with the ultimate aim of extending its stay in office. He said, “What this means is that the PDP is going to have a third term in office. The 1999 constitution says that when elections fail to hold, the governors and the President should remain in power till such a time when elections are conducted. “By May 29, the President and the governors will continue and you know that the National Assembly will not allow them to continue without them and so, they will go and amend the constitution to take care of them http://punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art20110403341534 |

Politics › Re: Pdp Supporters Don Offensive Arm Band In Edo State by henry101(m): 4:04pm On Apr 03, 2011 |
dapachez: A former Secretary to Edo State Government, (SSG), Iriase who decried this brazen harassment of people in Owan in the face of tacit consent by the security forces, said this attempt at intimidation and muzzling of voters must stop if the country is to witness a free and fair election. It would be recalled that a member of the ACN in Owan East LGA, Hon Andrew Osigwe cheated death by the whiskers on Wednesday night, when his SUV was sprayed with bullets by thugs suspected to be loyal to the PDP senatorial candidate, Senator, Yisa Braimoh.
Osigwe, a former councillor who was on his way to Afuze from Ihievbe, both in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, to the police headquarters at about 9pm to lodge complaints about the massing of hundreds of thugs in the Ihievbe home of Braimoh, was said to have been accosted by the armed thugs who barricaded the road around Ivbiogwuonu junction.
As he slowed down to avoid the barricades, his Nissan Pathfinder SUV 2005 model with registration number AG 94 AFZ, was engulfed in a volley of bullets, heavily shattering the passenger side of the vehicle. According to him, “As I slowed down to avoid the barricades, then they opened fire and shattered the right (passenger) side. The vehicle was heavily shattered. It’s a miracle how I survived the incident. If you see the car, you’ll not believe somebody that drove that vehicle survived. I’m yet to recover from the shock”.
A former loyalist of Senator Braimoh, Osigwe, also a prominent youth leader in Owan East Local Government Area, traced his present predicament to his last month’s decision to quit the PDP for the ACN due to broken promises. This he said was because the PDP did not offer his people any hope for the future. “I also felt that the Comrade Governor was doing a very good job in the state and needed to be supported so I opted for change”, he said.

KnowAll: The strongest & most sellable Igbo man who was already an establish ruling class was Soludo, despite his Bank cock-ups d SW & moderates in d North would have backed a Soludo candidacy than Ngozi, but Jo-boy destroyed that promising young man's ambition by awarding that election to Obi & secondly Jo-boy was too scared to dear Ojukwu. Today Ojukwu is almost on his way out, but d most promising man east of dNiger in both d SS & SE career lies in ruins courtesy of Jo-boy yet Igbo's today are still supporting Jo-boy, d Igbo's had better join d new gravy train in Town which is Team BB. Who's the strongest and sellable from other regions, you freaking tribalist. jason123: Now that you are calm, we can reason together as brothers and fellow country men.
The economic spearheading was done by the OBJ (same yorubas you hate and despise) to allow igbos greater roles in the society, that I do not have problem with. If we all look out for our individual ethnic groups, then who will look out for the country??The ethnic lines are already burred. Take a look at Lagos and maybe port harcourt,Lagos is a multi ethnic society where tribalism has no place. See the way it change from just an economic center to building its own island. Lagos is the epitome of what Yorubas, Igbos and Hausas can do when they are detribalised. But my eastern brother, when we start playing tribal politics and ethnocentric games, then we will only result back to 1967 (I do not pray for that) and we Nigerians (whether yorubas, isoko, ijaw, hausas, igbos etc) will lose everything. On the issue of presidency, I am SURE many people do not care anymore about where the president comes from as long as he does well. Anybody that can remove OBJ's god fatherism and corruption will do the nation a whole lot of good. When the nation starts functioning with a bit of morals then we can start the proper development because my bother, development will not come as long as corruption is our bane.
We should not tribalise the position of presidency. It will do us more harm than good. It will sow ethnic hatred and mistrust. It might even lead to something we all do not want.
Vote for whoever you like but please do not based it on ethnic judgments as most igbos are doing now. Even the SS are not as crazily tribal as some igbo are about GEJ. I just do not want a region or the whole country to regret their actions. Thank you Who's playing tribal politics. I have told you, you sit behind your computer and type nonsense claiming to be neutral. A region supports one man, you term it tribal. Can you tell me what's happening in the NW and the SW.? |
