Yoruba people are just really talented at music. I dunno why. Just our natural adaptivity and ability to connect with everyone, I guess?

You look at Wale specifically. . . since the 70s we've had Gogo music in the DC area, absolutely nobody has had an interest in this music nationally until Wale came on the scene, revolutionized it and made it appealing to mainstream audiences. Pretty phenomenal if you think about it.

You forgot that Taio Cruz dude in the UK too. . . they were rocking his songs this past summer and I had no clue that the dude was yoruba.

It is what it is, doesn't really reflect poorly on Igbo.
There are several artist in the Uk that are doing well.
Ever heard of Tinie tempah and Lemar?
But you got to give it to these guys but introducing tribalism to it is very very scary.
You all should condemn what the OP is trying to cause, which is unnecessary hate and senseless argument.

Why is there a dearth of talented rappers of Ebo extraction in the world famous American Rap scene. So far it seems that only Yoruba people ( Wale, Chammilloniare and his brother, and Dbanj to name just a few) are breaking into mainstream American rap, our Ibo brothers have so far been left behind unfortunately.

Could it be that, like Nigeria did  to Biafrans/Ibos during/with the Civil war, and like Forbes recently did with the release of their latest world's richest list, American Rap, and by extension, the American people, has singled out the great Ibo race  for wanton discrimination?

What can be done to correct this anomaly.

Check your dictionary if you don't know.
The crowd at either of Buhari or Ribadu's rally have consistently been larger than those who attended GEJ's rally. I suppose a candidate as popular as a sitting president, "ordained by God", "it is our turn now" in person of GEJ should consistently pull greater crowd.

The only consistency in GEJ's and most PDP rallies are the number of deaths recorded!
Do you mean state by state rally or regional rally?

If anything, Jonathan's concerted effort at luring people to his side has continued to backfire. GEJ has painted the airwaves (Radio and Television) with hundreds of adverts and jingles. His cronies have been screaming that Buharis and Ribadu have not been campaigning. Yet, Buhari (and Ribadu) has so far continued to trounce GEJ in every campaign rally.

Door to door will only expose the weakness of the GEJ candidature the more, 'cos when critical questions are asked, these hungry and jobless foot soldiers will be found wanting. How will they be able to answer questions when their principal is afraid to engage in a debate with his opponents?
What do you mean by trounce?

Yoruba people's history exhibits bravery, we are not afraid to fight and give our lives fighting for everybody's right and freedom, our leaders fron Awolowo to soyinka, gani, fela, abiola and his wife,, solarin, ajasin, dele giwa and many more were sent to jail and killed for their acts of bravery. Something ibo people don't know ish about.

And during the civil war when the war was crappy, Yoruba military men took over and whoop your biafran a's's and you end up surrendering to another yoruba man after your weak and incompetent coward and rebel leader took off like a sisy fagg.

CelebritiesHubby Tackles Omotola Over Grammy Picture:nigeria Films! by henry101(op): 5:13pm On Mar 05, 2011

Captain Ekeinde, the husband of Nollywood diva, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has questioned his wife over a controversial picture she took at the recently held Grammy Awards.

The picture that has been in circulation in all social network sites shows how an unknown guy is posing with the mother of four, placing his hand on her ‘backside.’

It was gathered that since the photograph was published, the pilot husband of the screen diva has queried his wife. He asked her who the guy in question is, and above all, his relationship with Omotola.

Although he was said to have heard about the picture, Ekeinde never thought much about it until his attention was drawn to it and he has quizzed his wife, just to be sure it was a mere showbiz posture.

“The truth of the matter is that he trusts his wife very much, but as a human, it is normal for him to investigate such thing. She has exonerated herself from people’s speculation any way, and I think everything is under control,” said a source close to the couple.

The picture has generated comments, from Omotola Jalade’s embarrassing dress to the appropriateness of the hand. While some are of the opinion that there is nothing wrong with the picture, others argued that she shouldn’t have allowed the guy go that far.

Omotola is no doubt one of the luckiest female celebrities in Nigeria. Aside having a high-flying career, she is one of the few that has a stable relationship which was also devoid of scandals.
Although she got married at an early age, a lot of people had expected the marriage to hit the rocks long ago.

I know stupidity and lack of intelligent reasoning is ibo  people's eternal domain, but let me teach you a little civic  lesson,

We = Lagosians including Tinubu because Tinubu is a Lagosian and everything done by the government of Lagos is done on behalf of Lagosians including Tinubu. Every tax paying Lagosian including  Tinubu  is entitled to utter that word  "WE".

They use the phrase "government of the people, by the people, for the people" for a reason.

And all over the world including Britain, the US and Nigeria, the ruling party and party loyalists selects government officials like heads of parastatals and commissioners. Odechukwu didn't pick his cabinet and the top public officials around him, the party leaders and PDP state governors did.

You ibo clowns including the ibo writer really need to STFU and go find something better to do with your time.  You people are just hopelessly d/umb.

I blame the Asiwaju for this pigheadedness of the Igbos in Lagos. Give a man an inch and he will ask for ten miles. The Yorubas are too accommodating; this is one of our problem. Can any of the Igbo governor in the south east give a Yoruba man a cabinet appointment? No way. These people are inviting another OPC related problem. Why don't they shut up and face the only thing they know how to do best. Igbos should not think we are fools. These group of trouble mongers should shut up before they start a war of hate between the Yorubas and the Igbos. Who is stopping them from fielding their own candidate if they think they are more than 50% in Lagos state? These Ohanecrazy guys should stop living in fool paradise and face their commerce.
STFU if you dont know your common history.

PStylish:
I actually know what I am talking about. I used to work in an Indian coy until late August last year. Of course we all know Indians pay sh.it. I couldn't take it any longer. Hence, I resigned. Most of their technicians(university eng'g graduates) at present are Igbo. They continue to be violated and treated like slaves. Before I left, I used to talk to them about starting a business. They(my Igbo colleagues) would come up with flimsy excuses like where is the money et al. In my mind I was like are these not the Igbos who are supposed to be business minded. It then began to occur to me that their certificates had beclouded their sense of reason. They would prefer to earn under 40k as engineering graduates than start a business even if they dont yet have any wife or children to fend for.
As for me, I registered my company late last year even though I had already started the business. At the corporate affairs commission, most of the young people who came to register companies were Yorubas. The Igbos I saw came to register one church or club or association of Igbos. Beyond that, in the course of my marketing, I have come come across many yoruba CEOS doing one great thing or the other. Some were my classmates in school. Most of the companies I have serviced till date are owned by young Yorubas.
Thats how I came to the conclusion that educated Yorubas set up companies than their Igbo counterparts. A Yoruba graduate can do any kind of business to survive. An Igbo graduate will never because of pride and ego. Only non Igbo graduates go into business. And you'll agree with me that if a graduate selling akara will do better than illiterate doing same.
You didnt get my point. I was trying to use the Faith Tabernacle as a case study and put it in perspective. I will expansiate.
The Faith Tabernacle should still be the world's largest church auditorium in the world with a sitting capacity of 50,000 worshippers and it is located in a local govt(Ado - Odo/Ota) in Ogun state. Hence, there is no other sunday church service gathering as large as that nationwide
If you are inside the tabernacle during a sunday service, I bet you will be tempted to put the population of worshippers at 500,000 which will have been very wrong. This is no fault/error of yours. Its what your brain made you believe. A crowd of people always look more than their actual number. Believe me.
Now, I assumed all the worshippers at every sunday service are Igbos and they all live in one local govt. Hence, 50,000 * 20 = 1,000,000
I then decide to add 1,000,000 Igbos extra who decide not to go to church or who attend other denominations statewide. This brings the population to 2 million max.
From this analogy, we can deduce that there is a faith tabernacle in every local govt in Lagos. And all the 50,000 worshippers are Igbos living in that particular local govt. I then add 1 million Igbos who didnt go to church/who attend other denominations. I think thats fair enough.

The largest catholic church in Lagos cannot have a sitting capacity of 5,000 and they will not be all Igbos like I assumed the faith tabernacle congregation to be.

To appreciate Yoruba population, go to MFM prayer city, Redemption camp, Deeper life etc during special programs. And 90% of them come from Lagos to attend these programs.
You know this is your personnal opinion.

Your population estimate is funny, grin grin grin grin
Peace.
