Nice to know there are people who have morals but if most people believe cheating is evil how come it's now a norm in the society? These days singles stay more faithful than married folks. It's a complex issue, not a saint but once a notice a sneak peek of cheating it's Au revoir. |

soberdrunk: There is nothing i hate hearing more than "I dont know how it happened". If you are a man or woman and you think your partner is going to stay faithful 'forever', you are under the biggest illusion ever! I have made up my mind that my future bae and i are going to be 1000% honest with each other and cheating will only be a crime if she doesnt tell me about it 'before' and after it happens and i catch her myself..... Good for you. Don't then make your opinion a law for others by saying someone shouldn't expect his partner to be faithful. If that's what works for you.....thumbs up allow others to choose what works for them. |

jamesben91: I don't usually comment on nairaland but I actually had to login to comment here so the world will know the truth.
First of all, I want to establish that I have nothing to gain or lose if Ekeukwu Owerri market is relocated or not. What pains me is the temerity with which the government uses the media to lie to us; we've lost our minds in the name of playing politics.
You saying craps. Generally most Nigerians are very stubborn am dead sure the relocation plans didn't happen over night, why didn't the traders moved their things quietly but no they waited till they were forced out. What's wrong with black men? However killing a little boy was way too gross, what happened if he was just arrested? He has no gun,I just wonder what's wrong with our security forces.
How would someone write this piece, that the market was relocated amid jubilation? Do people lose their lives while jubilating? How can you relocate a functioning market to an incomplete site? How can you say the action was a peaceful one, when thugs from a particular part of the state were looting shops to zero level? How peaceful could it have been when gunshots greeted the people of Owerri from the early hours of today till evening?
I can't even type further.... I feel so bad for all those that lost their loved ones; seeing this news in the internet would be more of emotional torture to them.
It's unfortunate that the government would do all sort of things and get away with it.
In all that happened today, all I'm asking for is a fair report. The people of Owerri are not happy, lives were lost, nobody is jubilating, people were even scared to come out today. I might not be a reporter but I feel the people's pains. I just hope we get it right someday. |

Stupid rogues pouring their loot into wicker baskets and calling them buckets of investments. I laugh. Anyone investing in the airline business in Nigeria must be a unique kind of dunce. proffemi: ASUU members are definitely fighting for "their pockets", and they are well within their rights to do so. In addition though, "they" are fighting for the Nigerian tertiary education system. Whether you believe it or not may be immaterial because they probably know more about this subject than you do. I went through all I wrote and didn't see where I said they do not have the right to fight for their pocket or are just pained about what I said that's true?? |

ASUU has been demanding since I was born and they always claim it's for the good of our education, agreed our education is very poor but what have they been doing with all the demands that government has fulfilled. I'm not justifying why gov't should improve te education sector but I know ASUU is just fighting for their pockets. |

Find a real woman......though they are very difficult to find then you wouldn't bother yourself with those other ones .....a real woman is one who builds you up,knows what she wants, independent both financially and emotionally. A good great relationship is one both are independent but still care about each other and respect each other but those kind of women are going into extinction these days. Men stop making women depend on you so you can control or Lord it over her that's where disappointments starts. Stop dating women who can't give themselves good treat without the help of a man. |

positivetaught: yes between a buhari n Atiku I will pick Atiku, you people would not accept corruption been associated with buhari but are ready to accuse others of corruption even when clearly unproven. based on intellectual capacity, administrative acumen, political views n utterances Atiku is much better to buhari, the fanatics just felt Atiku is not bigoted enough n too urbane while others are just been deceive by political leaders afraid n opposed to Atiku, perhaps integrity has got a new meaning n form in buhari n Apc but certainly not the English concept of integrity,2019 will be very interesting you people should not rest on your oars. Atiku not bigoted?? You don't know anything about him. You think public display is same thing as what he conceives in his heart?? Urbane ...yes but putting Atiku Agony and integrity in one sentence .....hahahha |

positivetaught: Beating buhari n APC to the presidency in 2019 may be tough but certainly not impossible,PDP needs to clearly zone their president/vp ticket to the NE/SE then present a formidable candidate and conduct a detailed and factual campaign outlining the truth about the lies, deceit n double standards regarding buhari's history, academic pursuits, military career, failed electoral promises, false claim of integrity, physical fitness etc while outlining very sound economic n political strategies to confront the nations problems. the so call popularity of buhari is based on religious sentiment n propaganda n nothing else.there has been a gang up against Atiku led by obasanjo out of fear n selfish reasons based on an unproven allegations of corruption luckily Atiku was a clear witness to the corruption under buhari in 1984(54 undeclared suit cases incident), all he needs to do when the time is wright is to show true courage n confront buhari n his political opponents with facts without fear, buhari must prepare to partake in the debates of 2019 let's judge the candidate by their individual capacity n not some cook up fables again. I read between your lines.....clearly campaigning for Atiku. Sorry man he stand no chance whatever. Every one knows he can't be trusted. Try as much as you can to discredit PMB about integrity it's a lost cause, yes failed on promises but don't talk about integrity please. He isn't liked cuz of religion and propaganda. He is liked cuz he has some integrity that surpassed your Atiku. Thank you. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why You Should Never Be Late To Church by henryhemon(m): 12:17pm On Aug 13, 2017 |
ADEWUMIMichael: LATENESS TO CHURCH
Ever since I was born, I have not seen many people arrive late to the airport when they are traveling. In fact, when the plane is taking off at 11:00pm, the person will be at the airport by 7:00pm, wow!
That's how much people value travelling overseas!!
Same when they have to go to court they will be at that Court not less than 30 minutes before the appointed time.
But on a Sunday morning when Church has long begun, that's when you see men and women with 'swag' gliding like a wounded tortoise to Church.
They know they are late,
Church starts at 08:00 am ,but people will come at 08:30am or 10: 00 am, why? They think all they need is just to be present and show their faces to their friends.
Just take the test to call them on Monday at 5:30 or 6:00 am , you'll realise they are already on their way to work and some will be there already.
Know this today, anytime you go to Church one minute late, you have NOT attended Church at all.
If Christ is saying 'where two or three are gathered, I'm in their midst', you think He comes late? The time you give is the time He keeps.
What does it mean to arrive late to Church?
1) Disrespect to Christ
2) Betrayal of Christ
3) Disregard to the Church and the Pastor
4) Interruption of an eternal program
God bless. Shalom @Op, There are churches you go to,You just want to listen to sermon and go your way,the other things they do will disgust you. If I attend such churches it's a very big Yes to going to church late infact I will only wait for the timing of sermon to be preached. |

They both want it all, hence their constant suspicion of each other, and scheming to outdo each other like the Igbo coup and Northern return leg of 1966.
Give an Igbo man power and watch them reprise their 1960's domination of federal government appointments even outside their own region.
