It's a pity that we have lots of degenerates in this our country that have sold their conscience and have just one thing in their mind, How to get rich fast. Keep this in mind while you do what you do, Retribution ALWAYS catches up with one that does evil, The evil that one does leaves after them, God visits the iniquities of one up to the fourth generation and lastly, do you eva stop to think how the person you just duped would feel? I see some of these scammers trying to dupe old men and women of their life savings and some succeeding in the end. Do you know that curses such a person will lay on you will be very potent? I can go on and on but this should be more than enuf for the few wise ones out there. I am by no means a rich guy, in fact, am still struggling. But one thing I promised myself is this, I can and will never put my hands in illegal thing just to make money. By my own hands and my sweat, I'll work for my bread. And I believe in God to bless the works of my hands and so far, He hasn't failed me either. |
But on a serious note, I love listening to movie scores especially those done by Hans Zimmer. Also love instrumentals (eg Yanni) and classical music like Mozart and Beethoven. |
For the best and fastest inspiration, I go for Terry G. ![]() |
@4ller, I finally fixed it by uninstalling ntfsprogs and installing ntfs-3g in its place. I can read and write ntfs filesystems now. @blackweaver, it doesn't matter what installer am using, dpkg, aptitude, USC, gdebi etc. tried all of them. It's smooth sailing when it's downloading the packages but when it starts the actual installations, it slows the system down badly. |
Still available. |
Available now. CCNP V6 training videos by Jeremy Ciora of CBTNuggets and Chris Bryant of Trainsignal. |
Ubuntu is kinda getting far from the great OS it once was. In my desktop (1gb ram and a pentium dual core), it runs slowly sometimes and wheneva am installing a package, the installation slows the system down so much that I have to wait for the installation to finish before doing anything. My latest woe now is that after updating my system last week, I found out that I can mount ntfs drives/partition but won't have write access to them. Kinda like way back then when linux was still grappling with ntfs filesystems. Anybody having similar problems or solution to it. I've googled already but came up with nothing helpful for now. |
@OP, Lol. They didn't increase anything. Back then when mtn first started the midnight call thingy, a lot of us developed ways that we thot back then will make our calls connect faster cos of the terrible congestion on the network. To achieve this, we add 180 at the end of the mtn number we want to call and it will still go thru. |
Still available guys. |
I see you have what is known as the Blue Screen Of Death. Some ppl have already told you why it happens and proferred solutions. In my own opinion, I think it's best you just reformat the system like they have suggested and you can use Ubuntu cd to retrieve your files before you format. If you are in lagos and need extra help towards that, give me a call anytime. O8Onine86three1nine8six. |
@alex406, which one did you forget exactly? The BIOS or the Windows password. The BIOS password (if you set it) comes up immediately u put the system on while the Windows password comes up after the welcome screen. |
Pure oxygen is mainly used to speed the shallow decompression stops at the end of a military, commercial or technical dive and is only safe down to a depth of 6 meters (maximum operating depth) before oxygen toxicity steps in. Culled from wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breathing_gas |
@Alj_harem, your first advice about taking 100% oxygen is dead wrong. If you breathe in pure oxygen, you'll die. Humans need to breathe in an air mixture of 21% Oxygen 78% Nitrogen and 1% trace elements. Even ppl that are given oxygen in the hospitals never go higher than 22% or so. Anything more is toxic to humans. Read more from the link below. www.howstuffworks.com/question493.htm |
Hmmmm, @OP. Well, I can feel your pain and I've been in your situation (and somehow still is). I'll advice you to give her a bit of space and continue to pray fervently for her cos trust me, it's not a hold that can be broken easily. Don't force or put pressure on her, in fact just be a good friend to her and nothing else for the time being. With time, you'll come to realise why I said so. @P4P, as for your own dilemma, I can help you to find out, that is, If you are really interested in doing so. If you're ready let me know. And am not gonna ask you for money or any rubbish like that. |
Hmmm, Just want to digress a bit. Why do we like using big words to kill ourselves? You desecrate a person, you desecrate holy places and things. |
everything about the Ijaws is interrelated withwater. “Unlike in the north where they dance like antelopes, we dance like fishes. Our dance steps are like the movements of the fish and the wagging of their tails in the waters, The Ijaw masquerades usually wear heads of the fishes. All our festivals have their origins from water. Our ways of life are influenced by our environment which is surrounded by water.”So, in essence, you guys are like the Southern Water Tribe and the northerners are like Earth Kingdom. Hmmmm, Apart from being a good swimmer can you do water bending too? Cos I'm the Avatar and am in need of a water bending teacher. |
@OP. What you've got to realise is that, there are four major types of spoken/written english viz, British, American, Australian and Nigerian English. Borrowing from the other 3, the Oxford English Dictionary defines single as "not involved in an established romantic or sexual relationship". But we nigerians like twisting things to suit our twisted ways so we now have in Naija english, Single but searching, engaged but single etc. Someone even said here that single can be anything thing as long as u are not married to the person. Makes me wonder what you'll call live-in lovers? |
Still available plus CBT videos from Train Signal Chris Bryant. |
@OP. It's really bad that you had to experience that. But the fact is that a good number of Nigerian ladies are dependent on the men. The average Nigerian lady will always try to get a man to pay her bills even when she has the means to do so. It's sickening cos you hear the same women shouting about being treated equally with men and all the drama about women emmancipation but what they don't know is that they need emmancipate their minds first before anything else. Also, the general feel one gets on nairaland these days is not too far from what we get in our country. People come and talk trash here all in the name of posting comments. Where re the moderators of the threads? When I visit other forums, I see warnings about trolls, insultive and derogative words and consequences of engaging in such. Here, such things are the norm. Forums are meant to be a place for people with similar interests to meet and learn/share ideas but u hardly see such here, except on few threads. Every post has a lot of people derailing from the topic and sometimes even end up hijacking it entirely. All the same, I would advise Seun to clean up his house before it really turns to another Nigeria for real.I see warnings about trolls, insultive and derogative words and consequences of engaging in such. @deucelaw and sage_, fair usage means that they given you a certain limit they expect that you shouldn't exceed beyond within the time frame, but if you do, they wouldn't cut you off rather, they will start charging you normal data rates for the remaining time left of your subscription. Note, all gsm operators in nigeria do this whenever they claim they are giving you an unlimited data cap. |

Ok. |
I noticed that it is not just restricted to heterosexual relationships. I've come across quite a number of girls in abusive lesbian relationships that find it hard to let go. From my own experience, I think psychologically, those ladies like the control their partner has over them and I don't think they can enjoy that relationship otherwise, at least two or so girls have confessed as such to me. Well, to me, that's just sick and I think the person needs some counselling. |
