You know, there are sometimes I just wish we don't have too many christian denominations cos everyone is trying to interpret the bible in his or her own way to suit him/herself. God's word is not something that has loopholes through which one can manuever. The bible tells us that, the ONLY person we are allowed to have SEX with is our spouses (it never said it was ok to do it solo). I think God is wise enough to have told us that we should flee from fornication and instead just self-service until we get our spouses if it was ok for us to do so. Some people say, that there is no place mentioned in the bible that it is a sin to self-service, but then again, there is no place it is encouraged either. If the bible entails us to wait till marriage until we can have sex, doesn't it also rule out any other form of it? Or are we waiting for the bible to start calling all the sins one by one by name and specifically telling us to abstain and also list the ones that are not? The bible doesn't say a thing about smoking but do you feel it's right for a practising christian to do so? After all, some people have genuine reasons for doing that eg smoking during winter when outdoors to keep warm. But as a practising christian, we ought to know that the body is the temple of God and should not do anything that will defile it. Another thing, don't forget in the old testament, Lev 15:16 to be exact, says that if a man has wetdreams, he should bath himself and would be unclean till evening. Now, wetdreams is a natural occurance for a normal human and yet God said that when it happens, you will be unclean. So, why would one want to delibrately make oneself unclean by simulating a wetdream (having a wetdream is the only occasion the bible talks about release of fluid solo)? Col 3:5- "Then put to death your bodies which are of the earth; wrong use of the flesh, unclean things, passion, evil desires and envy, which is the worship of strange gods."(Amplified version) Another translation says "Dont be controlled by your body. Kill every desire for the wrong kind of sex. Don't be immoral or indecent or have evil thoughts. Don't be greedy which is the same as worshipping idols". Is it making sense to you? I might be wrong (please let me know if I am), but I didn't see where God condemns sleeping with a dead body in the bible either. If so, can it be a sin if one does that? If it's a sin, would it also be a sin if the dead person was his/her spouse? After all, the bible says it's ok to have sex with our spouse. There are things that God doesn't need to spell out for us before we know it's a sin cos the little shred of morality we have will tell us (unless you've completely killed it) and there are things the devil can't use against a practising christian when the Holy Spirit haven't convicted you in it in the first place. Before the devil can even start accusing a true christian, the Holy Spirit will bring your attention to it when mere thots of it come up (don't forget the devil is not a mind reader) and when you choose not to heed His words and actually does it, that's when the devil uses it against you. I seem to have gone off topic but I hope I got my message across. Lastly for the man whom the wife is tired or away and choose to self-service, let him remember these words 1Thessalonians 4:3-4 – “It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable”. Self-control is better than self-service anytime. God bless you too.

For the good "Pastor" Chris that went as far as to say that "it is between you and your body,, God doesn't care wat you do with it" what happens to 1Cor 6:15 "Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ?, " or the same chapter verse 13 ", But the body is not for fornication but for the Lord; and the Lord is for the body" or the most popular verse Know ye not that you are the temple of God? All these verses and lots more goes to show that God IS VERY INTERESTED in what we do with our bodies. I would like that "Pastor" Chris would stop misinforming his congregation and leading them to sin.

After reading your replies, you kinda reminded me of a few things I read a long time ago in a book about human psychology. Human beings naturally and instinctively will always try to rationalize their actions even when they know deep in their hearts that it's wrong, hence the saying "whatever helps you sleep at night". Over time, one keeps telling him/herself the same lie that it eventually becomes the truth to him/her. From your replies, I could pick up a few things, 1. We both have very different meaning of what or who a christian is. 2. It's good you said yourself that you know the word of God, I'd love to see you rationalize this portions of the bible (actually, am betting you should) 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:21-27, let me not include the ones from the old testament cos you'll probably tell me we are no longer under the law or something like that. Someone mentioned here that one day, beastiality would be ok to people and he's quite right, you know? You said it yourself. Back in the 80's, people where more homophobic than they were now. What made them change? It sure wasn't the fact that they saw the errors of their ways nor because homosexuality became nautural/ok overnight. It's because, the world got used to it, and less people continued to speak out against it. Their small voices got drowned in a sea of voices that are pro-homosexuality. The same way a lot of the people around detest beastiality today, give it time and you'll see that people will suddenly start being pro-beastiality even going as far as to get married to animals in church.

@OP, like someone has suggested, you need to work on yourself first before trying to work on her. Fornication is also a sin you know. It doesn't make sense for you to try to tell her to give up a particular type of sin for anoda. If you really love her, give yourself to Christ and then you can lead her to Christ too, otherwise you're just digging a fresh hole to fill up an old one.
@Inked_Nerd, slimyem and et al. My dear, it's tru sin is sin. There might not be any one bigger than the other but one thing I know for sure is this, some can bring God's wrath on one faster than others, some can be more deeply rooted than others and yet again some can be more deadly than others. Whenever I come across you guys posts, my heart gets heavy most especially when I see you quoting scriptures. It shows that you already know the Word of God but have chosen to harden your heart against the part that concerns you especially. But my prayer for you guys is that God's mercy will never let you go. Say hi to Dyt and the others. Kinda suprised she hasn't posted on this topic yet.
P.S. Am no saint and I can never tell someone that he/she has no right to talk to me about my sinful ways unless he/she is a saint. God doesn't have a set of people He uses to get our attention. He can use anyone even the devil himself.

First thing you do when you get a new router is to wipe off the old configuration on it then reboot it, before putting in any of your own configuration. Try using cisco as username and/or password and if that doesn't work, try admin/administrator. And if it doesn't, then reset to factory defaults.

This news is sounding a bit fishy on some of the details. Am not disputing the fact that there was an explosion and it could actually be from the said boko haramist but think for a moment about this. The explosion killed them and destroyed the house yet they still found "explosive substances in containers and already wired drums of explosives" that didn't go off in a chain reaction to the initial blast or to the resulting fire. I think JTF and GEJ is trying to use this incident to their advantage cos lately, the haramists themselves have been quiet for a while. I think GEJ wants to use this incident as a propaganda to push forward his proposed budget allocation for security.

Try a different activator and turn off updates. Seriously, you can do without it. If you need updates badly, then download and install service pack one and set your action center to only inform you of updates so you'll be checking what it is you are about to install before you even download it.

Take it to an engineer to fix it up for you and back up your data as well. If you are in lagos, you can bring it over let me have a look at it.

@dhtml, and you think trash talking and ego massaging is the way programmers talk? Real programmers let there work do the talking for them. How many times did you see the likes of Patrick Naughton, James Gosling, Larry Page, Sergey Brin etc come out and start boasting of their coding skills? This is the typical mentality of people that have just about enough skills to do a lil' bit of thing here and there and they suddenly think they are one of the greatest coders that ever lived.
@ultragm, you are very wrong there. A good coder is not boss of him/herself. Those two are mutually exclusive. It's a personal decision to go out on your own or choose to work under a company. For example Patrick Naughton and James Gosling were employees of then Microsystems when they developed the java programming language. Don't be so narrow minded my guy.
@Buki, I like your answers so far here, you simply have nothing to prove to anyone or enter competions simply to show you are a coder. Just do your thing the way you know how.

P.S. Am not a coder, am a network engineer and even though some ppl do say I'm good with the little I do, I never brag about it. Am constantly in a learning phase to be better than I was yesterday, cos the time you start bragging, you've closed your mind to a lot of things and will find it hard to learn from novices. Yes trust me, there are things, I learnt from complete noobs simply cos I let them show me somethings they could do.

@olanaija, my dear. That gmail, paypal, amazon and a host of other online business are blocking naija from using their services is not racism. We are not a race, but a country. On what basis are you calling it racism? Other African countries have access, so also does other black contries. Then again, I'll suggest you also do a search on internet scam and not crime and you'll find out that nigeria will pop out in almost all the results. I'm not disputing the fact that other countries have scammers, but lets be sincere with ourselves for once. 85-90% of online scams originate from here (yes, even those ones that you think originated from other countries). It's easy to spoff (change) your ip address to seem as if you are accessing the net from a different locale. Another thing you have to have on your mind is the unprecedented success rate of these scams and the amount of money being scammed off people. Try searching for scams (generally) that were successful elsewhere and I bet you, you'll find very few that are mega payouts but do a cursory search of online scam payouts that originated here and you'll be surprised at how much those dudes are losing. I've seen ppl here being paid 10million naira and this is after settling eye-wey-see and the foreign facilitator etc. So, you can imagine how much the original sum would be. In conclusion my dear, this is a cancer to us here cos 85% of youths (btw the ages of 16-30) that can handle a computer do that so imagine the amount of spam messages hitting the internet daily from naija all trying to scam ppl. They are not wrong when they label us as online scammers.
