Dude. Still looking to activate vista in this time and age? Just get yourself a copy of Windows 7 or Windows XP cd and forget about that crap called Vista.

They all have their strengths and weaknesses and it all boils down to what the user is most comfortable with and meets his/her needs. For instance, if you are the gaming type, I'd recommend windows cos they have an extensive list of games on the platform. If you're into graphics and multimedia, then I'd probably recommend Mac. Then if you want a solid, robust OS without the copyright restrictions, viruses etc, then I'd say go for Linux. I myself personally use both Windows and Linux.

P.S. There are loads of other reasons why someone would go for any of the three and not just the ones I had mentioned.

I just googled it now and saw 4 irrelevant links and one relevant one pointing to pointblank news' website. After going through the article, I still couldn't find a link from where they got the news cos judging from the article, the case should be in the public domain and hence, not hidden. So, my conclusion. A case that was tried in the U.S. and should be in the public domain and yet not there and can only be found in a Nigerian news webiste is a fabricated story. End of discussion.

@ak47mann, I am not posting for posting sake and I know it's gonna cos a huge amount of money to build but let the truth be told. No one builds a spade and calls it a caterpillar. Compare the pic of our so called "warship" with any warship in service and tell me if that can be truly called a warship? Did you see the size? And it is even on a small dock and yet still that small. I applaud the Navy engineers cos they show they are emulating their Army brothers that built a couple of armoured vehicles some time back but when they did, they never called it an lofty name like the one being ascribed to that one in that pic.

To all of you saying congratulations, you guys are still living in the 18th century else can you tell me how that fishing boat looks like a warship to any of you (Beaf and cohorts). For your information Warships are categorized in the following 7 categories, Aircraft carrier, Cruiser, Destroyer, Frigate, Corvette, Submarine, and Amphibious assault ships. I will include pics of the 7 categories to let you guys help me classify where that "fishing boat" falls under. Warship my foot, even pirates have better boats than that. Mscheeeeeew. But on a serious note, that looks more like a patrol boat than anything else.

citee: @poster for your budget I'd suggest you go for sonyericsson xperia neo v. It comes with android 2.3 which can be up-graded to 4.0. Am so loving this phone right now. Sonyericsson make a lot of quality even if under-stated phones.

seconded, a friend of mine has the xperia ray and am so in love with it. Even though it's older than the neo v.

bibe: well am a blackberry+android user, am using bold 9790+samsung galaxyS. i use the android mostly for multimedia purpose especially video when am travelling.
but i really wudnt recommend android device especially those of lower OS than ICS (i.e android 4.x) cos the are all not very efficient at managing resources especially battery life which is very significant when u use them for data purposes and also not that gud luking GUI-wise.
personally, i wanna switch to windows phone devices but since ur concerned about cost, i wud recommend the nokia 603. its priced at 35k while the galaxy s is around 48k. plus its got a comparable spec to the galaxy s. the only difference being the storage capacity as the galaxy s comes with 8gb inbuilt but 5.7gb user accessibility.

i beg to differ on you above point about android less than ICS not being good looking. I suppose you haven't come across much except the one u use. Else, can you tell me how ugly sony ericsson xperia range (pro, ray, arc etc) are gui-wise. They all run gingerbread and froyo in some cases yet there gui are slick and don't even get me talking about the HTC brands.

Is there some compatibility issue here. . .will the Android phone blow up in your face if the one recommended to you was done without taking into account that you are a "Blackberry User"

And yet, he has just a university named after him (and the 100naira note and that is becaus he was a great leader just like Zik and Tafawa Belewa). if the government is really sincere in immortalizing him, there are better ways that are more suited to his little achievements to the country eg, rename National Assembly Building after him or make June 12 a national holiday and not a Lagos State holiday. Otherwise, I think they should they should just forget it. Don't forget that this is the same man that was have alleged to have sponsored some coups in this country and if there is any iota of truth in it, then his death and annulment of June 12 election is simply him reaping the seeds he sowed.

Well, for me, I still prefer empathy to pidgin on ubuntu. It even pulls your avatar and profile pics from yahoo and facebook when you login. But pidgin does have more plugins available than empathy does.

@Samfibby, I beg to differ. I use a HP G6 pavilion using an AMD E2 vision APU (dual core) and I can tell you that it is on par with my friend's core i5 dual core (not the core i5 quad core o). You guys should quit hitting on AMD brands.

Yeah, I also experienced the same issue last week. Guess it was a bug with their servers.

Even if I get links and put them up here, I bet you that they won't bother to visit it. When big networks in the U.S. like AT&T and Verizon are still rolling out their LTE services and others are yet to start, na Korea and Malaysia wey go come dey on 5G and 6G. How many phones fit operate on LTE networks sef currently. Do a research and you'll probably get nothing more than 15 at most. Nonsense.
