@Adeomam

With all the issue lately about SL , if I had the power I would also delete it.
It hurts me when ppl come here to insult all of us when they have lost money through false SL matter.
Let ppl go and get their SL somewhere else. There are a million other places.
This place is a public place for information and let's try to leave it that way. ( i tried selling euro once. The messages i had ,i changed my mind.) .Uncles and aunties are around to pick info and use them wrongly.
Money is not easy to get, it's not fair when someone losses it to scammers.

Hello guys,
So my visa was delayed by the Embassy until I figured out what the problem was. It was delayed for about for 2 months and 3 weeks( no one should mention village people angry ).
The delay was because I sent them a printed copy of my SL instead of the original copy (I didn't have the original yet). I sent lots of mails and made several calls until 4th January, I called, the call operator asked, the visa section said they didn't understand the proof of means of subsistence I sent, and so I figured it's because It wasn't the original.
I took the original to them same day and they called me 4 days later to ask when I'd like to travel.
A piece of advice, ensure you send them the originals of whatever documents they ask for after AM, (especially SL, that's if it wasn't with you during your interview).
Also, always go with your visa application receipt if you wanna drop off your documents and you do not have appointment letter, else Paulinus will use you to shine( this post would be incomplete without the name 'Paulinus' smiley ), he shined with me and I had to take bike from Walter Carrington to the Mainland and back just to beat 12 noon closing time cheesy cheesy .

And so I bounced into Germany with my small traveling bag, a Tshirt and a Jean Jacket like a big boy.
When I walked out of the plane, the cold shocked my neck and my legs and my body started vibrating intermittently like I had seasonal epilepsy, and I told myself 'mehn -5^C doesn't look good on you'. When I walked out of the Airport, my big boyness vanished, I became dumb as the vibration had taken over my entire body. grin grin
Thanks to one of the Ogas here who came to my rescue at the Airport, I would have started going to Thuringia instead of Duisburg. wink smiley
So if you coming to Deutschland any time soon(though winter is gradually going), ensure you have your thermal wears and appropriate jackets, else the cold will deal with you until you find your feet.

For small traveling bag, the advantage is that you wouldn't struggle from the airport to wherever you going but you'd have to deal with eating food that tastes like 'what I don't know' cry . If you can, bring as much home food as possible, unless you have money for African stores.

And so, if you using SL, ensure you come with enough money, you'll need it for feeding, train transportation(Until you get your semester ticket). You should also ensure you have a temporary place of abode, else you'll need money for temporary shared rooms until you get your apartment.

Lastly, if you applied/are applying for accommodation with Studierendenwerk(especially for NRW), you can pay the reservation fee when they ask you to, just to have a room reserved for you, but do not sign their contract just yet until you've secured your visa and gotten over to Deutschland, to avoid having nasty experience.

P.S. Everything I wrote about isn't standard, it's just personal opinion.

To everyone waiting on admission confirmation, visa interview appointment, visa interview day, AM, visa delivery etc., I wish you all the best of luck.

You are one lucky , blessed sombori.
Welcome

Hello heybaby.

Do you know anything about Berlin? How easy it might be to get minimum wage jobs without proper knowledge of German and also how easy it is to renew. Thank you

Honestly I don't know.
Have not even been to Berlin, planning a weekend trip there.

Did you see how @chriswazo insulted him because he called everybody liar. He could have juss corrected that statement.
If it was me, and somebody insulted me in that manner... I will go berserk on the whole person's family.
Yes he talked rudly but he called for it.
When I read the guys message it was like someone stood right infront of me and was insulting me. It hurts when ppl come to talk that way meanwhile it was their fault. This is not a business thread.
Ppl take their time to come here to ans questions and all and you come from no where calling others names. As if we were there when the transaction started.

I also didn't like the tone.
But it's all good.

Please dont bliv anyone on this thread cos they are all liars especially anything that involves money that is why this country can not be good ,we keep doing bad things to ourselves.

I WILL REVEAL THE NAME OF THE FRAUDSTER ANY MOMENT FROM NOW AND THE ACCOUNT NUMBER TOGETHER WITH BVN NOS.

#MORAL#

EVERYONE HERE ARE THIEVES#

Your generalization is very very bad. This thread has been of tremendous help to me and thousands of others. It was made specifically for information and not business transaction.
When someone will come on and say "I need SL urgently" what do you expect.
Everyone knows doing financial transaction online is risky, I just bought a dress online only for it to come now it's way different from what I saw on the picture. Who I go blame.

Don't you sound that way, it's very rude and wrong. Besides you didn't inform anyone. Why now call us all names.

I know it pains €1000. But be wiser next time. Last last it will end in praise.

Good luck

Hello All, I'm a new comer.

Thanks for all the comment.

I would want to start saving for the block fund. Is it OK to open the block account now and save monthly inside the account?

Open new Normal saving account, you won't collect ATM card, you won't download the app, just use it as main saving.
Trust me it helps when the money complete ,then you do the needful

Hey @Godisthegreatest, I am really sorry for all the accusations I laid against you before.
Truth of the matter is my friends have been scammed before on this SL stuff, and your post was exactly how it started. And then, Hamm Lippstadt electronic engineering course is only for winter according to the daad website, I never knew they do for summer too.

I am sorry for everything.
One Love bro

You are blessed.

Thanks for clearing it up, but there was really no need. When you sure of yourself. Don't let what others say down your spirit.

All the same I don't blame anyone because lately this thread has become a fishing ground for scammers.

Welcome to DE. Best wishes

Congratulations Heybaby12. Please I need your guidance as I am looking at applying for a Masters program during the winter session as soon as admission opens for my intended programs. Please I am planning to come over with my 7 year old son and would require a lot of guidance and mentoring from you.

I am a self sponsor and proving means of sustenance wouldn't be a problem at all. He does not need a visa to enter Germany and I cannot afford to leave him behind at all.

Please I will send you a prompt shortly so we can take it out of here. looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you in advance.
