Hi heybaby12, Thanks for your timely advise on this thread, I’m actually going to mittweida this winter and I will like you to give me some tips on student lifestyle, Job opportunities and any possible information that will help my stay in mittweida. Kindly check your dm
Msc or Bsc, which every start reading reading reading now. This place has no joy, there are few Africans left that would make it fun for you. There are little or no jobs ( that wont affect your studiès).
The semester fee doesn't cover any ticket so you would have to become a guest student at chemnitz so you get their semester ticket that takes you around saxony.

I always thought mittweida was a small town
But if u can start working this early (Nov) then it's not that small be that o
Dont get it twisted.
Working at the school cafe. You get few days per week. And that's about the only work that wont eat up your study time

To those of you that feel you can handle mittweida. Follow the following tips.
** the moment you get here book an appointment with the auslander for visa extension ( in three weeks you get it)
*** go straight to the mensa to look for a job. You can start working as early as November.

Good luck

AM and visa are not the seem thing. Such AMs come with clause to them. Very few times it comes without one.
Secondly your friend can enjoy his work. And sometime next year apply for a german tourist visa.

Hope I copied the right person oh

LOL, I got confirmation even before the school sent theirs.

This is thier instruction

The “Amount to transfer“ (total amount + initial fee + EUR 100,00) contains a buffer deposit of EUR 100,00. This is a measure to issue your blocking
confirmation quickly and avoid inconveniences from potential deductions of fees for international money transfers by intermediary banks. A detailed
calculation of the "Amount to Transfer" is provided on the next page for your convenience. The buffer is NOT a Fintiba fee - you'll receive the
(remaining) amount from the buffer deposit with your first payout!

I specifically put BEN bear charges the €100 covers it...

I've got my confirmation
Hope you read where I said the €100 sweet for here pass jumping and passing it in nigeria.

Of course, they'll send it.

Like how many days does it take Fintiba to send the confirmation after doing the transfer?

Depends on the bank. Mine was between 24-36 hrs

It will be complete, u know is 8640+89+100, the 100 euros is a buffer fee added to absorb any miscellaneous deduction stemming from the transfer.
But due to we don't want stories and is in our culture to over-do, we prefer covering the whole transfer cost plus offshore fees
Guy that €100 dey make sense pass when you reach here. So it's best you dont touch it. grin

Used FBN, was charged 13 Euro, 0.5% of the amount and vat,
Then I put beneficiary to bear charges else I could have paid another 40 euro
Fintiba wrote it that you should make sure you bear all the charges. Pray they send you confirmation (if they take from your buffer)if not you would spend same amount sending the €40.

I have been wondering why some people still get rejection after German visa interview (Considering the fact that Germany intentionally waved tuition to encourage international students). And these are the questions running through my mind. Elders in the house pls assist with answers to help us learn from thoes who have experienced these things before.

What are the exact information the VOs usually send to the Alien office?

Do they forward all your documents to the Alien office for further verification?

If your work experience as highlighted in your Cv is not really directly related to your chosen Msc program is it a problem ? And do the VO forward your submitted Cv to the Alien office?

And what are the possible rejection reasons people have received before.?

What most ppl fail to understand is that your motivation letter speaks for you, use that Avenue to cover wasted years, bad grades, change of career path, sound smart but not arrogant.
I have read some motivation letters of people that have been denied and I almost cried.

Note: there are many reasons why one can be rejected.
At the end is not by your power.

I am honestly sorry for telling you not to. Start a movement ,# them, fb them call them. Do all you want. But remember one thing the german government really owes us no explanation(your government does). I have family members on this waiting list too. We are also looking for other sensitive ways to tackle this matter. I told them to channel the energy in learning the language.

You forgetting this is a public forum you have x2 ghost members that are active . Averagely its reported the embassy gets more than a 100 calls a day for this matter and that's not chaotic enough.

You cant burn a bridge that you gonna pass tomorrow.

Once again I am sorry . For being insensitive.

This news shouldn't stop u from putting ur calls across as well. Let them know we are waiting. Cos this is an important issue that needs to be addressed soonest

Please and please you ppl should not call and call the embassy. Honestly things are not done that way. You need dates and setting more chaos for them wont help. Let's relax. It will end in praise.

Sincere appreciation for your responses, Sassy92 and heybaby12. They are very valid

I had M.Sc Biological Resources at Rhine-waal in mind, but their course structure doesnt interest me one bit, even though i have a Microbiological background. It will be a sheer torture sitting in class as it is completely divergent from my career aspirations.

I am strongly considering going for the study semester instead of the B.Sc degree, when i eventually get visa based on the B.Sc degree. Then i can re-chart my course by winter.

Will there be consequences for this action?

PS: You should see the course structure for the study program! I just love it.

I dont know how just a semester works. Is that not like an exchange program. I really dont know

Your case is unique and yes, 1500 euros is a lot of money. If you apply for the short study program you won't get student visa. You'll still have to come back to Naija and apply for student visa. In my opinion that's stressful.
Here's my advise: if you have a Bsc,apply for Msc in a related course for summer. Then during winter switch to Bsc in your preferred course.
I stand to be corrected.

Cc odimbannamdi
This is not a bad idea. I know ppl who did this. You apply for summer semester come Feb. Then move to your preferred school in winter.

No Nigerian bank will allow you withdraw foreign currency.

You can only deposit and transfer, You can never withdraw.

Cheers!
You can withdraw, transfer, deposit.
Everything you do with your local account you can still do but there are limits.

Please does anyone know how long it takes university of applied sciences Dresden to give out AL, UNI-ASSIST sent my VPD to them on Sunday, I still haven't heard from them. My visa interview is on the 15th of July, I'm thinking of canceling tomorrow if I don't get a response from them so one week gap won't be exceeded.
Is that the only admission you have/expecting

Hello Guys, another quick question

Someone told me to certify my documents in High Court before going to the Embassy?

Please is this compulsory. I honestly don't understand what he was talking about, I just said OK.

You certify only when you applying to schools not when going for interview.

Was your questions answered?

I believe you will be in Germany soon. Please i want you to give us update on the other thread as soon as you are fully settled over there.

There is a thread about Nigerian students in germany, how do you survive many students hardly visit but look at the UK/USA/CANADA equivalent, very vibrant and great ideas are shared. I understand that study could be intense and hustle demanding, but if all that were on this thread and left successfully for Germany spends just 10 minutes a week to post something, the thread would be the best by far.

We really need to change because CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU

Gute Nacht alle zusammen

My brother it's really not easy, most of those who crossed still have the thread at heart but no time.

Germany no be Yankee or Jand. Most of us faced that confused state the first day/weeks of class. And it restarts your whole system.
It takes some ppl weeks and others even years to settle. ( in terms of the right course and school. So ppl keep changing schools and courses, na that person you want to come say HI for here) So dont take it that way.

No be beans for here.
Las Las it will end in praise

More blessing....

Go on twitter and tweet at them @nigimmigration. I had the same issue with the Port Harcourt office; for 2 months after biometrics capturing, they kept telling me they didn't have booklets, till someone gave me this advice. My passport was produced the same day I tweeted and given to me.

I think port Harcourt has the worst NIS office.

28.06.2018 was a remarkable day for me, i was at the embassy before 5:20. Awesome God "oga pauli" was on leave. I was ushered into room two. Was interviewed by the tinted hair lady. There was no pressure . 6 weeks later almighty AM arrived.

What am I saying here.
Never say never . Believe and you would conquer your dreams.

More AL
More AM
More money.
