You could plant Ugu and, indeed, any vegetables in buckets and sacks and they will do well (particularly for subsistence purposes)
Personally, I like being organic, so I will advise you go for manure and good loamy soil.

In the case of using plastic containers such as plastics, ensure they are aerated - this could be done by perforating the containers.

If you are using sacks, perforation may not be necessary, except the sack is laminated, in which case, you then have to perforate.

For the weather, I reside in Ilorin, which is just about 2 hrs to Osogbo (Osun). They have similar weather, but Osun weather is finer and so your vegs should do well.

Nice one! They can all survive in containers. I did same beginning of the year. I haven't bought ugu, water outside since.

What the plants really need are constant water supply.

You can get jerry cans (20 litres or so). Cut them through vertically close to the top.

You can get soil from anyone into gardening and fill the jerry cans up.

Though I have little ground which I planted okro and green (efo) but majority of my vegetables are planted in the jerry cans.

Your interest is amazing. I have not tried but tomatoes can surely survive. Ugu too cos it's main concentration is outside.

You ll need to fertilize it though hence no enough soil nutrients

my younger brother got admission to state University when he was 16 yrs, so after he graduated from the University, he applied for Nigeria Defense Academy, he was among the successful that was admitted last year, now he is terma one( 100 level), a Navy cadet. pls will he regret making this decision. pls forget about my English.

I jumped from Primary 4, I was 9 in JS1, but I still graduated Uni at 24. I had to repeat JS 2 because we moved to a new state, I had to write WAEC 3 times because of Maths, I got into University at 18, Law is 5 years, plus multiple strikes, we did 6.

Law School another one year, I'm still awaiting Service, imagine I waited till I was 12 for Secondary School admission, plus all these delays.
