Why would people be making faking drugs, just greed. Thank God Nafdac acted right |
Honestly, I dont like this kinda thread that the OP will just disappear, how do we get further information and answers to questions. Anyways, this is a simple one, cut your losses and move on and dont think it twice. |
LESS than two months to the local government election in Lagos State, violence erupted yesterday among members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), leaving six of them seriously injured. The clash occurred between supporters of two chairmanship aspirants of the party in Lagos Island Local Council Development Authority (LCDA). Four members of the warring factions were arrested by policemen from Area ‘A’ Command, Lion Building but were later released when some stalwarts of the party intervened. Narrating what led to the clash, an eye witness said that one of the ACN leaders on the Island, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, had endorsed the former Vice Chairman of the LCDA, Kehinde Ashekun Owo-Iya, as the next chairman to replace the out-going Chairman, Mr. Mufutau Kadiku (KDK), which did not go down well with other ACN leaders who were in support of the former Secretary of the LCDA, Kamal Bashua. It was gathered that the attack took place at a reconciliation meeting between the factions during which those in attendence had to run for dear lives. “The two warring factional leaders were present at the meeting along with other leaders as early as 9a.m. to settle the matter, but the meeting ended in a deadlock because Baba RF strongly disagreed with Baba Olusi's action for trying to impose an aspirant on other leaders,” a source said. Alhaji Razaq Folorunsho Balogun (Baba RF) is supporting Bashua and Olusi is supporting Ashekun. “Their supporters, who got wind of what was happening at the meeting, started to attack themselves outside the council secretariat with dangerous weapons like bottles, knives and cutlasses,” the source said. http://www.nigeriancompass.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3800:lg-polls-lagos-acn-members-in-bloody-clash&catid=54:nigeria-today&Itemid=594 |
The Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State has begun moves to bring back former Governor Ayo Fayose to the party. The leaders of the party reportedly met with Fayose at his Lagos residence on Sunday to plead with him to return to the party. Fayose quit the PDP in 2010 and joined the Labour Party where he contested and lost the race to represent Ekiti Central Senatorial District at the Senate. But shortly after Fayose resigned from the PDP, the Chairman of the party in the state, Chief Bola Olu-Ojo, addressed a press conference, saying Fayose had been expelled. A communiqué signed by the Vice Chairman of the PDP in Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Mr. Dipo Anisulowo; former House of Representatives candidate, Dr Tope Aluko; Ambassador Gbenga Olofin, and 27 other PDP leaders confirmed the move to bring Fayose back to the party. It said, “The meeting reviewed the state of the party in the local government and the state, particularly, the recent poor outing of the party in 2011 elections. This was attributed to internal wrangling. “The meeting specifically reviewed the positive contributions and good leadership qualities of Dr. Ayodele Fayose. We believe that if Fayose reconsiders his stand and joins the party, the PDP will surely move forward.” Although Fayose could not be reached but a source close to the former governor said leaders of the PDP had been visiting Fayose asking him to return to the party. He said Fayose was yet to give them an answer. Anisulowo, who was contacted on the telephone, confirmed that the leaders of the party met with Fayose to woo him back to the party as a way of repositioning the party ahead of future elections. He, however, said the PDP was not only pleading with Fayose alone but with some others who left the party. He said the PDP was also making moves to win members from the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria in the state. He said, “We are mobilising for our party and this is in the best interest of the PDP. We are not limiting our peace talk to only Fayose, we are meeting with other defectors and stakeholders and those with the interest of Ekiti at heart.” THE Punch had earlier reported that some PDP leaders invited Fayose to a meeting held in Ibadan. Although Fayose refused to comment on it, he had earlier said he still had many of his supporters in the PDP. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201108244131435 |
FOR allegedly lacking in capacity, the Osun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday called on the House of Assembly to begin processes that would lead to the removal of Governor Rauf Aregbesola from power. In a petition forwarded to the Assembly yesterday, the state Chairman of the party, Mr. Sunday Ojo Williams, said the PDP is prepared to join forces with the electorate to invoke the relevant provisions of the Constitution to recall all members of the House, if they fail to start the process of removing Aregbeosola and his deputy latest by August 29. The PDP chairman, who claimed that the state was in total paralysis, said that market men and women could no longer sell; transporters no longer have passengers to carry, students have no school to attend, while government offices are shut owing to the “strange behaviour” of the governor, who according to him, “has refused to disclose his problem to the people of the state”. He said the alleged incapacitation of the governor had clearly affected all segments of the state, adding that “due to Argebesola’s behaviour, all hospitals, schools and other state and local government establishments have closed down”. Williams said that Aregbesola’s refusal to obey the minimum wage law had shut down activities of government at the state and local government levels for over 17 days, and that his refusal to conduct council election as well as his willful disobedience of the state law which approves seven-member caretaker committees for each of the councils, but instead appointed 17 members for each of the councils. Williams also claimed that virtually all residents of the state are worried at Aregbesola’s strange decision to destroy the forestry reserve at Orile-Owu to plant maize and cassava – a decision he described as inimical to the late (Obafemi) Awolowo’s ideology on farm settlement. But reacting to the statement by the PDP, the governor’s spokesman, Semiu Okanlawon, contended that the party is just crying wolf where there is none. He likened Williams’s complaints to that of an animal crying in the forest, urging the people not take him seriously. http://www.nigeriancompass.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3797:osun-pdp-wants-aregbesola-removed&catid=324:world-news&Itemid=542 |
The Peoples Democratic Party has said it has no hand in the removal of erstwhile President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami. The party also called on Nigerians and opposition political parties to allow the judiciary determine Salami’s fate. It accused the Action Congress of Nigeria of crying more than the bereaved, saying the way the ACN reacted to Salami’s suspension was suspicious. Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, the National Legal Adviser of the PDP, Chief Olusola Oke dismissed rumours that his party manipulated Salami’s removal, saying it is a “cheap blackmail which cannot be substantiated.” He said there was no time the national body accused Salami of any wrongdoing, adding that it was the South-West zone of the party that had consistently accused him of not being fair to the PDP in the handling of its cases at the election petition tribunals, especially in Ekiti and Osun states. Oke said, “Some measure of allegations of partiality has been raised by the South-West zone of the party against Justice Salami, but we in the national secretariat have not done so. Why is the ACN weeping more than the bereaved?” He said the ACN’s reaction to Salami’s suspension was suggestive of special interest that “smacks much like political undertone.” Oke added, “Emotion being displayed by the ACN over this matter, gives the impression that there is something that meets the ordinary eye. The matter is already in court and this is an internal affair of the judiciary but the hue and cry and emotions from the ACN is worrisome. “The matter should be allowed to be settled through the judicial due process, but the ACN is weeping more than the bereaved in this case.” Also responding to the suspension, a pro-democracy group, the Coalition of Democrats for Electoral Reform, described the actions of the National Judicial Council, which recommended Salami’s suspension as a mockery of the internationally accepted method of jurisprudence, which it said, holds sacred the study of law and the principles on which the law is based. In a statement by its Director of Research, Planning and Strategy, M. Segun Bada, CODER said Salami ought to be given a chance to clear himself. The statement reads, “The NJC explanation for the suspension of Justice Ayo Salami is Ultra-Vires. As a matter of fact, it is a general adage that ‘you don’t shave someone’s head without his physical presence.’ http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art20110824514392 |
Buyahhahayah! I can't believe some fool even thought of starting a thread like this, comparing Ghadaffi (though not a fan of him) with stark "illiteratic" and backward nigerian leaders is the epitome of stupidity. I've always maintained that the major effect of the dungeon called "one-nigeria" is spitting out fools and brain-dead clowns who think that attending a 4yr college/university and bagging a certificate automatically confers wisdom on them,,,if you doubt me see the fool named patrick obahiagbon (wrote name in lower case on purpose). As long as the dungeon called nigeria exists, "educated-illiteratic-clowns" and brain-dead scum of the earth otherwise known as nigerians such as those condemning Ghadaffi shall continually be churn-out to the adverse effect of the human race, just as most of their so called nigerian leaders have remained an aberration to humanity (see obj, ibb, abacha, abdusalami, gowon, murtala,,,all pigs and scum of the earth).I've had the privilege to visit Tripoli back in May 2010 via job assignment and I can confidently confirm that Ghadaffi loves Libyans far more than any so called nigerian leader loves nigerians,,,he showed this love by investing in the people via education, irrigation, infrastructures et. al. If GEJ loves nigerians, why is he not breaking the monopoly that dangote has/have on vital infrastructural commodity such as cement? Why is the cost of kerosene mainly used by the poor at an all time high? Now, some brain-dead clowns have used the population factor as an excuse as to why their brain-dead leaders have failed to provide basic ammenity such as electricity for the dungeon called nigeria. 1st, if anyone believe that nigeria is up to 150m without credible census, then I have a mountain to sell to that person. Having traversed round that toilet called nigeria, I can confirm based on the desert ravaging the northern part that the entire north (middle belt included) is not up to 50m ,,,this was one of the main reasons why the north had to recruit saboteurs from the south to swell nigerian military in order to fight Biafra (Topic for another discussion). Back to the population excuse, Brazil is a country of 190m (based on credible census) and is still light-years ahead of nigeria in terms of basic infrastructure(s).For me, I'd rather have a 50-year "dictatorship" that knows what he is doing than any of these 4-year to 8-year intermittent stooges and robbers called leaders. Nigerian leaders are better compared with alcoholics and drug addicts, for that is the class they all belong .
Well said. May God bless you and keep you. Some Nigerians will never cease to amaze me with the way they think |
Very funny |
kpolli:+1. Tpia for example!!! |
He is better by miles. Dont even compare him to any past or present leader in Nigeria |
^^^Dont always be selfish in your relationships, try to see things from the other person's perspective. You have to be accomodating and tolerant for things to work out. Goodluck |
smh |
I love the one from "backyard crew". Very nice |
nsiadi:Dumb question. |
Seperation is the best option here--OP, pls dont listen to all these people telling you to keep praying to God and try talking to her. When a union is not working and gets physical, the best option is to part ways. The guy in Nigeria that killed his wife recently and dismembered her body parts must have been passing through things like this and peopled urged them to hang on and now look at where it got to. My broda, when something is going wrong, pushing harder will never make it right, especially in a situation like this. The facts that it gets physical has made everything worst. |
The guy is kool and intelligent too |
Chinua Achebe |
Congrats to him |
^^^Exactly, but am sure AVB must have lost all hopes on Kalou now. Dude will be sold soon |
Goldieluks:Hi dear. How is your week end comin up? |
Happy Birthday Dyt **Booking for reservation** |
This is really nice. The love of a mother is priceless. |
This is a result of laziness, taking people's property. Awolowo de cleptomaniac did something like that in the past so am not surprised, its in their gene. |
^^^Marriage does not guarantee good upbringing for children, but it helps. Some married couples do not even have time for their kids or pay attention. The president of USA was raised by a single parent and it was never a deterant to what he has achieved today. |
^^^Part of what the guy said is true, especially the kind of politics his people play. Example abound in the sale of Abiola to the Northerners by some of their leaders, Tinubu also sold his own to Tambuwal. Secondly, he also has a point with the way the North view them, they are just using them to achieve their political goals. These people will suffer seriously should Nigeria break up, there will be serious crisis in the SW. But we do not want Federalism, what we need is division of the country, we are not the same people. Punto |
^^^At least am not forming |
Pweety4me:Ok you were sounding like you re talking from experience. But do you still love me? |
Amya:this is why pple always put a check on any house boy and gateman that always fight, cos there could be more to it than meets the eyes |
