CodeTemplar:He isn't focused on governance but on the cheapest possible way to impress certain people. This describes it all. |
He governor is ridiculous. |
YoonSung20:Though I believe that probably those little Ambassador College kids doing us proud in the state should have that Youth Ambassador tag also. I still believe there are good arguments for giving Laycon such title. However, what I totally disagree with is spending state resources whimsically when basic provisions aren't in place. |
This is what happens when you employ a person that should be running a night club as governor of a state. Ogun State has the worst road infrastructure in SW Nigeria . Many communities still sourcing water from polluted rivers, many unelectrified communities, the state last paid Pensioners gratuity for 2013. Currently planning to scrap gratuity all together. The important infrastructure supporting the economy are mostly in shambles. But the clowns in government would rather award 5M to the winner of a program that holds no direct relevance to the state. No priority! No systems! Leaders just spending state resources on their whims♂️ |

Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun is under fire for giving the winner of the 2020 Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Olamilekan Agbelesebioba (Better known as Laycon) a sum of N5million and a 3-bedroom bungalow. Yesterday, Laycon was welcomed by the good people of Ogun state where he also met with the Governor, Abiodun and other Ogun State government agencies. According to the post shared by via the official social media handles of the Governor: “We have appointed the winner of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown, @itslaycon Youth Ambassador of Ogun State in addition to house and cash gifts. “I relayed this development today when I played host to Olamilekan Moshood Agbelesebioba, AKA Laycon in my Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta. “The appointment and gifts are a celebration of Laycon’s good character, intellect and virtues which were proven to the whole world on live TV as better choices than vices. “A proud son of Ogun State, Laycon displayed the essence of focus in the face of temptations and provocations. This is the true Ogun State spirit, and it indeed confirms that this earned him his academic achievement at the University of Lagos.” Even though the fans of Laycon were happy about this move, Some Ogun State Indigenes and Nigerians are not okay with the decision of Governor Abiodun to give the winner of big brother Naija such amazing gifts, knowing fully well that he has already won the grand prize of N85million in the reality TV Show. The statement from the Governor was greeted with many negative reactions as people accused him of misplaced priority. Awesome. Congrats to NOI |
Lol what happens when you don't do things with principle of merit. |
Even back here in Nigeria there are many general and teaching hospitals that are actively using hydroxylchloroquine |

Give electricity to private sector to generate at controlled pricing. How hard can this be. Brazil today, with about the same population as Nigeria and classified as a developing country produces over 100, 000 megawatts of electricity. Allow private sector with competition and pragmatic price control (no subsidy), with fair margin for profitability and decades of tax breaks to reduce the overall cost burden. We all know this sector would likely never improve until it is properly privatized. |

I'm going to buy an helicopter too. If I have to live in this country I must have my own chopper ![]() By the way does living faith now own two choppers ni? This is different from the one I saw sometime ago. Maybe this one is for the Mission office under Abioye though. |
eaglewhitesz:Exactly, the older generation tends to be more attached to the homes they build by themselves. Rip to PA Erinle. Lalasticlala |
I Agree |
ziggy3579:Thanks for successfully telling us you are in America. News, America has over 200,000 deaths from Covid. They shouldn't even be reopening if they had brain. We don't have such widespread occurrence here or at least too many people are asymptomatic. There are many problems with the reopening agenda but they aren't the ones you are citing. |
First of all it is nonsense saying the school was doing pregnancy and drug test. This is just the average rumor that pervades in CU when things aren't made clear by the university authorities. They've never done a university wide pregnancy or drug test. It makes no sense particularly at resumption. Also, the girl said they should reduce the number of people in a room. Lol is covenant supposed to build new hostels because of Covid19? Though rain fell and scattered the canopies resulting In drenched personal properties. This was unfortunate but not Intended. They would plan better for the remaining days. What I disagree with is allowing all levels to resume in one week. Opening should have been phased in five weeks. Each level ought to resume in separate weeks, this gives room for one room per student and for Covid19 test results to be conducted and released and students with confirmed cases quickly removed and returned home.. |
Righteousness89:I agree with you. This is unacceptable. |
Let's see who is more popular till date. |

Hello Everyone! I would like to take a simple open popularity poll between the current governor of Lagos and the past two governors in Lagos. Kindly like your most preferred canditate only. This poll would be conducted every six months on Nairaland till the election of 2023. The purpose is to identify changing public perceptions resulting from various political or socioeconomic benchmarks or realities in Lagos state. Lalasticlala |
Humanity speaking. The north and south of Nigeria has different set of values. We may just need to go our separate ways. |
osamz007:It's Lalasticlala lol |
Generally people overrate so called godfathers. |
Nodogragra4me:Can you imagine. Is the community still giving problems. |
Timekeeper:Apparently it's more accommodating. The living faith church set out to build a multi billion naira marine focused university wholly by its own funds a few years ago near Tinapa in Cross river. The community insisted that they must be paid before development is permitted. The church is still slugging it out as they claim it is not in their policy to pay such. I remember even nodogragra4me even attested to it. |
LikeAking:Lol I guess a serious professor would be working in Lautech then. |
Christianity doing too much. Too relevant a religion from time immemorial. Watch how this would come to life in six months. Something your government should have done long ago! BTW to those asking if the hospital would be free or subsidized. Of course you don't expect a for profit private hospital to be cited on Ibadan expressway. It would definitely go broke as it would receive many emergency cases and little or no one to pay, therefore its not for profit project. |
