CHRIST EMBASSY TO BUILD WORLD CLASS MEGA HOSPITAL

Ground Breaking Ceremony Kicks off Construction of LoveWorld Medical Center by Trauma Care International Foundation

Multi-specialty hospital to provide quality community healthcare, catering to trauma and emergency victims.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, the Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF) kicked off the construction of a world class multi-specialty hospital; the LoveWorld Medical Center. The special ground breaking ceremony which took place at the LoveWorld Crusade Grounds, Aseese, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Southwest, Nigeria, was well attended. The foundation embarked on this project in recognition of the need for adequate in-facility care for trauma and emergency victims, strategically siting the hospital along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway — the busiest interstate route in Nigeria — which is used by over 250,000 passenger car units on a daily basis.

Trauma injuries are among the top 10 leading causes of death globally, and they are usually associated with significant morbidities and subsequent disabilities in many of those affected. The Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF); a member agency of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International has through the years focused on improving trauma management and emergency response services in Nigeria. TCIF has achieved this through its numerous initiatives which promote enhanced pre-hospital care and first responder education, its voluntary blood donation programs and community based health projects.

Dignitaries led by the Chairman of the occasion, the highly esteemed Rev. Tom Amenkhienan, officially flag off the construction of the medical center.

Studies have shown that on the average, 12 people die every day from traumatic accidents in Lagos State. This explains the need for such a facility which will cater to the health needs of those in surrounding communities while providing a point of care to victims of trauma and emergencies along the expressway and across Lagos and Ogun States.

While delivering his speech, the Chairman of the auspicious event, the highly esteemed Rev. Tom Amenkhienan, (Member of the CEC), expressed profound gratitude to the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome for the vision of the multi-specialty hospital. He said it is a laudable gesture as it will contribute significantly to the care of critically ill patients, and mark a new beginning in trauma and emergency care in Nigeria.

In her address at the special ceremony, the Chairman of the Trauma Care International Foundation, Dr. Deola Phillips, heralded the hospital as the LoveWorld Nation and the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International's significant contribution to nation building, and as part of a strategic plan to ensure definite improvements in the state of trauma care and emergency response in Nigeria.

Eminent dignitaries that graced this occasion
were some members of the Central Executive Council of the Loveworld Nation, members of the TCIF Board, the representative of the Ogun State
Commissioner for Health, Dr Kudus, Dr Adelakun,
Director Ogun State Ambulance and
Emergency Services ably representing the
Permanent Secretary Ogun State Ministry of
Health, the Baale of Aseese and executives of the Community Development Council, media
practitioners and other distinguished guests.

EducationRe: Covenant University Appoints Professor Bassey Williams As Acting Vice Chancellor by HigherEd(op):
Hmm Covenant is not really the school to appoint an acting management official unless something unsatisfactory happened. In this case I am sure the University slip from number 1 in Nigeria and west Africa to number 4 in Nigeria on the new times higher education ranking must have been the reason.

Usually they would have selected a new VC by conducting the selection process months ago or allowed the past VC to run a second term. Choosing an acting VC shows that replacing the VC in view of the expiration of his term was not prepared for.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: State Civil Service Job Or Multinational Company Job? Which One Is Advisable? by HigherEd: 12:53pm On Sep 24, 2020
You seem to prioritize job security over possibilities and future opportunities. For someone like me there's not even one confusion I'm going for the multinational.

But understandably you want job security so go civil service

Lol at covenant faring well; one of the demerits of blacks is ego first culture. Only University of Ibadan is recognized in Nigeria in latest university rankings. Shithole universities in a shithole country. How much research has come out of covenant university lately? Aren't all the students just interested in partying lol
Lol be talking nonsense. Covenant has the highest research output in Nigeria/capita. On Intl rankings it has an 18 point score ahead of UI with 12. Go figure.

the idea of shaving beared was their culture, the idea of wearing suit was their culture. most of the things we claim are african, were simply ideals if the colonial masters... let me ask you a question, will you be allowed to wear your traditional attire for a project presentation?
Except you were from the sango lineage, the yoruba culture had no thing for keeping beards or long hair. You can check the precolonial era of the yoruba people.

How is Nigeria and Nigerian Universities faring in the committee of nations? What language do you speak at work isn't it English? Fact of the matter is that the beard of a student is non of the lecturers business. UK culture is clearly superior to that of Nigeria by most standards.
Covenant is fearing well and doing better than many UK varsities by attestation of international assessment organizations.
Having to speak English to communicate is a part of culture eroded. You shouldn't worsen it by wearing the full regalia of the British culture. You would simply lack identity.

What is this one saying...this are people way over 18 years that the university wants to control how they look and live their lives...phone they won't allow...a little freedom in dressing they won't allow...it's not about copying what is done abroad it's about treating the students with respect and dignity...this is why most Nigerian graduates still behave like mumu cos the school treats them like kids...and nothing like colonialism here because it's not only in the UK or US students are given freedom...it's all over the world...it's only in Nigeria it's done differently
Allowing phones has nothing to do deprivation of dignity. It is simply part of the terms and conditions of a university. Unconventional but not undignifying.

Undignifying is packing six students in a room without giving them24/7 electricity to ventilate properly.

yet their education is far superior to ours... how often do you see billionaires dress up in suits? we in this country care more of how you look than what you know, and that is why we are still a third world country....
oh and by the way the brits are the ones. told us to be wearing suit to look "civilised", meanwhile they themselves have abandoned that ideology while we in Africa are still killing ourselves over it, still in mental slavery.
That their education is far superior than yours doesn't mean you should swallow their culture hookline and sinker. Tsinghua, Pekings University are top 50 universities in the world. They by no means resemble anything western in ideology or culture. So Africa should chart its own direction without doing copy copy.
EducationRe: Covenant University Final Year Student Forced To Shave Beard By Lecturer(video) by HigherEd:

Very hilarious. Meanwhile during my postgraduate degree in a UK Uni, there was no appearance nor dress code. Loads of persons wore shorts, winter jackets, even leggings. Some white dudes had earrings on. And this was in a very professional medical programme. The African society is just a different one.
Well CU isn't in UK and doesn't strive to behave like a UK university. It has her own community culture and ideology which should not be subjected to thoughts and norms of westernisation. Despite her conservative nature and age, it's doing great in the comity of reputable varsities as attested by the British ranking organization (THE2019), where it clearly surpassed a number of UK varsities.

The idea that a Nigerian university located in Ota must conform to the culture of a British university for legitimacy reeks of intellectual colonialism. The Qatari man, Ahmed expects his workers to wear jalamia to work is no less than Sir Cornwell who expects his to suit and tie up.

Those that want British themed education should add more money and head for MMIA. London is only six hours away.

Can UI boast of 24/7 electricity in her hostels? Can it boast of housing 95% of her students in campus?
Can it boast of the sporting facilities Covenant has?
Is Kenneth Dike library half as good as Covenant own?

If it's research go and compare THE stats for both university. UI is like 13/100 or so. CU is 18/100 - which is the highest in the country.

Teaching, they have about the same students - lecturer ratio so wetin you dey talk

Freeze really fvucked up by apologizing to this dude.
First do not even assume that Oyedepo knows who freeze is. Oyedepo doesn't watch news and doesn't read newspapers or use social media. He's as traditional as it gets. National relevant news are relayed to him in the most very old fashioned way through his aides.
Even his children or wife knows not to bring this sort of discussion about an irrelevant freeze to him, you may not like the response you will get.

Mind you Oyedepo created 6,000 more churches in the most rural parts of Africa in past six months. His organization is growing like wild fire with growth exceeding his past nine years of ministry combined. That is the point he is making right there. If so called haters can't stop a person from expanding or growing their sphere of influence then they are noisemakers.

A man still thinking about creating the largest hospital in Africa, largest housing, largest cathedrals and still manage a wage bill shooting exceeding high in the excess of 5 billion naira monthly. Oyedepo knows these new things won't come from wishful thinking at his advancing age, it requires the application of his brain to learn and conceive, his time to execute. His attention (brain) and his time - the two things critics are demanding are those he is wisest not to give.

In 200 years to come, Freeze and his followers would be remembered by a minority of historians. Their relevance in history would be tied to how they successfully rode to fame by dragging highly successful clergy. Oyedepo's legacy would live on! His churches would continue to bless lives. His university system would continue to be at the fore of cutting edge research breakthrough. Hahaha read his vision 2032, he is just beginning his life at 67 when many of his accusers are already done with theirs at 30.

We know this why? Jesus was condemned - his accusers are today irrelevant and unknown. Same with Aimee Semple MacPherson, Kathryn Kuhlmann, Maria Woodworth Ether, Smith Wigglesworth, Oral Roberts, Archbishop Idahosa etc. Critics are spectators! In a football field, 22 people are fulfilling their lives and destinies while 50,000 are crying, rejoicing, wailing and cursing. In the end only the 22 would get paid.

If I ever find myself speaking words unbecoming of a believer, I’d repent. There’d be no defending that, no matter the cause of the provocation. So help me God.

I also hope to lead by example in building a culture in the body where everyone “big” and “small” can be held accountable to the teaching of the word.

But it is gravely double-standard and hypocritical to exonerate Freeze even a bit. Many expect a lot from men of God, as they should. But we should also expect ANYONE AT ALL who names the name of Christ to at least have some decorum and discretion.

It is noteworthy that everything offensive that was said about Freeze, Freeze has also said about others and more. For avoidance of doubt, I’m reiterating that two wrongs don’t make a right. But Freeze and his supporters playing the victim all of a sudden is annoyingly hypocritical.

Honestly, enough is enough. The cantankerous and rambunctious fellow has to stop! If you’d be a teacher of the word, follow the word and not your stomach. Stop the laughable hypocrisy making you call Apostle Johnson Suleiman “friend” whilst you criticize the people he greatly reveres. Even adolescent folks knew the source of hush puppy’s wealth was questionable, but you couldn’t see it (or so you claimed). Your rebuttal was that Jesus dined with sinners? Did he also ask people to get their parents to take up a driving job for the sinners and extortioners?

Just last year, one of your mindless followers called my wife a slut. At some point, you have to be held accountable. This is that point. People who Bishop David Oyedepo and Pastor EA Adeboye (as imperfect as they may seem) have blessed have had enough and they are asking you to stop! Enough is enough. I hope people like @alibabagcfr who were quick to point the errors of the Pastor who called you out would also tell you where you have erred like Mr Reno Omokiri did. I really hope. Either ways, enough is enough @daddyfreeze
