It should be legalized and while they are at it they should legalize marijuana. It would ease all the anxiety that Nigerians experience on a daily basis. They should also increase the taxes on churches because those guys are criminals. So there it is.

Lagos has some of the best roads. When I moved to Lagos from the village 9 months ago, I was so impressed to see the level of engineering put in the roads. How can a road have a river in the middle of it? and at the same time a market, farm, morgue, beside it? I was so impressed because we in the umofiagba village have not yet been exposed to such sophistication. We follow the rive path during the dry season and the bush path during the rainy season. Some how the talented engineers of Lagos found a way of allowing the river the car, pedestrians  and animals, to all use the same path regardless of season. If this is not amazing, I don't know what is. Secondly the way the government cares for the safety of everyone who ply the roads, buy putting police check point at every 100 metres to ensure that your car, car particulars and personal health are in good condition. For such outstanding service, I don't mind forking over the occasional 10 -50 Naira fee. How many contries in the world do they have such impeccable service. I so happy to have found a great city like Lagos to live in, In the village nobody cares, and you have to ride your cow or goat to work. At least in Lagos, you can swim on the high way to work during the rainy season. May God continue to bless the people who are in charge of this great city. My Yoruba friend said after any comment I post I should always add " Eko O ni Baje" It must mean Lagos is the best city in the world.

How wonderful and prosperous  we were as a nation, antebellum. The confident smiles and emboldened glares of those in these pictures, speak to a time when we really believed in ourselves, our values and culture. Streets were paved, and Lagos was clean! Today, Lagos is barely visible under the ever growing mounds of dirt that surrounds the once prosperous capital. Did you see the pictures of those fishing villages? I couldn't believe that was what our rivers used to look like, the fisher men seemed happy at their trade. Look how beautiful our women were in their natural element. For a brief moment I felt a strong sense of pride and national Identity, but was soon over come with resentment and anger. Anger at our politicians for failing to uphold their civic obligations, anger at my parents for not fighting hard enough to preserve our culture for posterity, anger at my self for being part of the problem and not the solution. Will my children look at pictures from today and feel the same way 30 years from now? We have to take a stand, we have to start somewhere my friends, forget our cultural differences for it distracts us from the main issue plaguing our country. Nigeria is on a crash course downhill, its time to take controll of the wheel and steer it to safety. The change begins with you!

I woke up to some kid breaking into my car that was parked right next to my bedroom window (Imagine the nerve). I went out with my Ruger LCP 380 automatic pistol.  He didn't know I was armed, when I confronted him he lunged at me, and I fired two shots one hit him in his on his thigh and the other went through  his upper hip (obviously I wasn't trying to kill him). Your husband will cheat and has probably cheated, your boyfriend would cheat. Your father cheated and is probably cheating on you mother as I type. They best liars just never get caught. There is worst to come. After every major flood, there is a surge of water borne infectious diseases. A question you should ponder upon with sincerity, for even a dog will bite its master if abused for too long. The crux of the relationship is long gone, yet you find reason to belive it is still there. Don't take likely to such threats, less they merit real consequences in the future. One day will come and in his anger, he will strike the fatal blow (be it deliberately or inadvertently). So do both yourselves a favor, and take some time out to reevaluate the relationship. In most civilized countries this is the rule not the exception. Why should we appreciate the fact they released their financial report? It is a publicly traded company, and annual report are consistent with the requirements of federal government. No publicly help company should be exempt. How do you not know this?? My issue is with the height tariffs not the fact that they are making profit. What have they done with regards to FDI Foreign Direct investment, civic engagement, collaborative partnerships? Are they any education, agricultural, environmental, sustainability subsidies sponsored in whole or in part by MTN Most corporations making such profit would have all these and more as part of a broader global strategy. When it come to Nigeria it seems no body cares, yet we are paying twice as much for less. Forgive me for being upset.

Yes we all dey vex! The question is what are we going to do about it? Again nothing.
