Okay I'll have the sound engineer copile a list and forward it to you. Mind you this might take some time, they are all piled up in the storage with more stuff on them. But as soon as this is done you'll recieve an email. It was my initial intent to do this anyways, and put the equipments on ebay. Thanks for the motivation. And good luck. |
Depends on how fine she is, and how I feel deeply about her. (but mostly how fine she is, lol) If she is anything like Halle Berry, Need I say more. CAN I GET AN AMEN!! |
I mean what kind of studio are you trying to open? What is you budget? What are you skill? All these will factor into the initial setup cost. Most importantly what kind of sonic quality would you want to be associated with your recording studio. Granted you can make good music with a cheap studio, but if that was always the case then there would be absolutely no need to spend millions on a studio. My friend, each and every equipment has its purpose. In music, your main aim as a producer is to capture the emotion and neutrality in any performance. sometime artist might only get such performances once, and when this happens you want the right equipment to record them. That is what you pay for. You want microphones that record as natural and a close to the source without any external or internal bias. This my friend is called transparency. I opened my first studio 10year ago and have learned the hard way. I was trying to be cheap, always looking for the cheap equipment not the right equipment. "All in All" I had to end up buying the equipment I was avoiding all this time. If you want to buy all my old, used equipment then let me know. It is still better than any you ll get in Nigeria anyways. |
Starting a Music recording studio is no joke. It is one of the most daunting experiences ever, but if done right the rewards (sonically) is break taking. The first thing is location. When opening a studio you should find a location far from the hustle and bustle of the city. External noise can ruin a great recording, plus artist tend to be more creative in a peacefull environment. Now that you have found you location. (in a nice quite suburb i.e somewhere far from Lagos) the next thing is sound proofing. buy egg crates or auralex and sound proof the entire studio. The studio should be divided into three room. The lobby, the control room and the sound room. The lobby where Friends and family or artist will wait during a recroding session The control room where you would house all audio equipment. The recording room where artist would record and instrumentalist can play. Now you have the lay out it is time to talk equipment. Mics, Mixers, Compressors, equalizer, DE-essers, cables, pre amps, computers, audio interfaces, monitors, effects racks and the list could go on forever. Now depending on you budget you could spend Millions of dollars, or you could choose to spend a little more on the imp rotant items. For a mic go with a Nuemann u87. they run about $2000 to $3000 For mixer the Euphonix is great (especially with is sweet sounding preamp and on board compressors) but they would run you almost $30,000.00 dollars Alternative you can go purely digital and skip the mixer altogether. This mean you will need a good audio inter face with multiple inputs. 12 stereo pairs minimum. The emu 1820m is a good one (if they sill make it) Then cables (nothing else but mogami cables. these are the best audio cable in the game) don't forget you pre amp. the best pre-amp is the Avalons. they run about $2000 dollar but it is worth it. Or you could settle for cheaper tube pre- amps. Now monitor is the most important item in any studio. just ask any sound engineer. Spare no expense here. Yamaha makes a very good affordable Monitoring system that come with a sub (to effectively measure those troubling low end) This should run you about @1500 OH and a computer with lots of memory, a high end graphics card, and 2.6ghz quad core processor. The software is use is sonar. that because I have used it my entire life. You could use protools.( it would be easier to share production with other studio because every body uses protools) I was in the process of moving my recording studio to Nigeria, but changed my mind last minute. I make more money here and better security. No pun intended. Thanks |
Bunch of Illiterate political leaders + A majority illiterate and poor population + Nuclear reactor = The next big catastrophie - assistance from the west = HUMANITARIAN CRISES |

My woman is allowed to spend as much money as her little heart desires (and she does) as long as it is not my money. |
asha 80:FYI, I reside in Nigeria as well. My work allows me to work both in the US and in Nigeria. I also just left Nigeria a couple of months ago and planing to return in the coming month. Yes I am a dual citizen and yes I could permanently reside in either Britain or the US, but my unshaken and unwaiverd faith in my country keep me returning. This my Friend is not an issue about you nor me, or whence I may reside. This is a much more bigger issue that require the minds of intelligent young men and women to comprehend. So I don't expect you to understand. So I repeat myself "WE CAN NOT TOLERATE, NOR ALLOW GUERRILLA AND INSURGENT LIKE IDEOLOGY TO BECOME INBRED IN THE NIGERIAN POLITICAL OR DEMOCRATIC PROCESS IT WILL LEAD TO DISASTER ON A CATACLYSMIC LEVEL, AFFECTING NOT ONLY NIGERIA BUT AFRICA AS A WHOLE." Now smart and intelligent people can contest this comment, with valid counter arguments, but it has to be smart and intelligent people not you @asha80. Please don't take this the wrong way u seem like a stand up guy. |
For those who still condone the Savage, brutal, and inhumane tactics adopted by MEND in their so call ostensible quest to liberate the Niger Delta, might I remind you, that the more we sit back and encourage this the more unstable and volatile our country becomes. I will rather live under corrupt political leader, who still have to answer to their peers and international pressure than under a bunch of guerrilla warlords with the least bit of education. e.g Somalia and every other African nation that have stupidly encouraged such insurgency. We should be honored that Nigeria was picked out of many nation to host the cup, and likewise we should be vehemently ashamed that such clandestine organisation like MEND even have the clout to hinder it. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. (Still in its Infancy and still making mistakes) |
Oya let's star marching to the house of reps. We must burn dem, and reclaim our glorious country back, what r u still sitting down for, i said all of you lets march. I still day wait una. |
This is not a justification for our legislators actions but lets face it, It is cheaper, safer and more environmentaly friendly to fly than to drive (well depending on the plane, the country, the aviation infrastructure, economy and a whole other host of factors). Some prop plane (not jets) use less energy to power the plane Thur the air (due to less friction vs driving) Run way are cheaper to build than entire high way systems, which means less trees cut, which translate to more oxygen e.t.c (u see where I'm going with this) But that been said the last place ill want to see privatised air infrastructure is Nigeria. I can just imagine beat up plane held together with sellotape and wire, with a rumpled up plane conductor hanging out from the side yelling "YABA YABA ONE YANSH GOING GOING GONE" Right before take off and people ruining after the plane and trying to jump in before the plane leave take off. Wow, yes definitely not Nigeria. |
First of all, it is scientifically pr-oven that men are physically stronger than women (except the woman is into fitness). It is also scientifically prove that our brain structure though similar, differ in function. Men analyze based on logic, strategy and fact, while women analyze base on instinct and emotion. This difference, like someone mentioned earlier, was brought about due the the varying domestic roles played by both sexes. Men had to be more analytical in hunting, war, and the construction/ building of comunities. While women on the other hand had to be more tender and nurturing, so as to attend to and understand the fragile wants of the child (A task you would not want to leave to a man whom had just returned from hunting a wild boar , lol) Both task, in the general scope of things are of equal importance and significance. The inequality between both spawned about when some women got board (especially those who couldn't have kids) of staying at home and wanted to accompany the men in battle, or on a hunting expedition of which the men replied "you not as capable of a man to handle this or your not Strong enough to do this" This mentality has stuck with us from those early day of civilization till date. Like wise woman wouldn't want to leave the well fare of the child with her husband. Now the work place has changed, and women are becoming more indepented, and keep making major contributions to our society (somthing they have always done) But still the stereo types persist. |
People forget that tribal marks are the earliest forms of tattoes, and is one of the earliest ritual (especially for right of passage) Ingrained in our culture. Tattoes are just a mordern version of what we as a society have been practising for years. I will acept a woman with tattoes, I think its Hot. It also show she is a very expressive indiviadual, and is not scared to express such sentiment trough skin art. Such woman are rare. So please! if you dont want them send them my way. |
Nigeria!! Na wah for we oh. Chineke God! Make una come see as people dey take our resources play politics, at the expense of a whole populace. One day be one day, monkey go go market e no go return. |
Phillip Trimnell pioneered the way, and many of to-days top music video producers were part of his staff earlier on and learned a lot from him. Especially one, who has become successfully in America shooting music video for the likes of top Hip Hop stars. Back in the day Phillip Trimnell or PTP was the only outlet for many fledgling new artist. He shot Onyka Owenus (one love keep us together), Raskimono, Mike Okri, Majek fashek, Fela, Femi, music video. |
"Phillip Trimnell". Who just won the Legendary award. |
Sex! Sex!! and more Sex!!! |
Please let me remind you that the Oba of Benin is a formidable political force to be reckoned with. Even though he no longer has any legislative authority (which he still does just not as much any more), He is still the spiritual leader for a majority of the Benin people. "He who controlls the mind of the soul, controlls the deed" -Shaka- |
Wearing Glases (sunshades) and Hats (Fadoras, Baseball hats, e.t.c ) Is an absolute NO! The reason being, the intent of both. Hats, and shades is to shade the eyes from the sun, so wearing both is kind of redundant. Depending on the type of glases you can pull of a certain look only if the glases are either for reading or see through. Thats is the distinction between boths. So next time look at you glases and say, are they see through? or are they sunglases? If they are sunglases and you must wear them, then leave the Hat behind. Howerver, If they are reading, seeing glases or the lenses are transparent, then rock them! |
tubabie:Wow this must be the Nigerian version. What is the smell like? is it good? I use the original one. Dolce & Gabbana |
The soonest women realise that cheating is in our DNA. Its a Genetic code that prompts us to want to propagate our seed to as many females as we possible can, The soonest we can all live in peace and move on as a society. These men come back because they like you personality, your companionship, maybe in general see you as a friend. When the Gene to propagate kicks in, and we find another potential partner then all else takes a back sit until the urge has been satisfied. Then we realise and probably miss your companion ship and friend ship then they come back begging. This is how we have evolved and survived as a specie. Left to women's device we probably would have been extinct specie by now (scientific fact) |
Baba Fashola, We hail thee!! Keep it up so I can return back to by beautifull Lagos State, and hitch a ride on one of these, aircondition cab from the Airport. |
Chei! wonders shall never end. What was his whole staff doing when he was carting a $3 Million? I hope you comprehend that the bribery involved in stealing $3 Million is almost %40 of the the sum. Which meant that another $1.2 Million went to paying people in his cabinet, so they can turn a blind eye. Total cost to the Nigerian citizen $4.2Million. No wonder the stupid cook was stealing to. "Nigeria the land of the thieves" |
Nigerians We like to complain to much. "Let not copy the west with sagging", "Lets Raise our children by setting better examples", "Why must we copy the west?" FYI, before the west introduction of so called civilised fashion, we were ruining round with barely any clothes on as can still be witnessed in some rural areas in Nigeria. This was and is our culture. Every thing we do now is influenced by the west. It has been that way since colonial days. I you are anti western influence then i suggest you take of you clothes, throw you cell phones and all electronics away, rid yourself of artificial make ups, and retire to the village. |
In Nigeria (where the educational system is flawed, and tests are not generated to mesure cognisant knowledeg) Then yes. But in the west I would encourage my child to learn on his/her own. |
Nigeria is the most populated African country, beacuse all of you would not stay in your own contry. Its so populated with immigrant (like Ghanians) That i had to move to another country. You all go back to you respective nationalities so i can return home with my family. Haba every body one enjoy Nigeria money (yet dem go dey yab us) Una think say all the 419 people na Nigerian? ABUJA— PRESIDENT Olusegun Obasanjo has approved a loan of $45 million (N6.2 billion) for Ghana and Sao Tome and Principe to assist the two countries. Information on the loan was conveyed vide a letter to Senate President, Chief Adolphus Wabara, which was read on the Senate floor yesterday. The announcement drew spontaneous mutterings from the opposition side in the Senate chambers. However, the misgivings about the loan package were drowned by the dominant PDP majority aided by the Senate president. A move by Senator Mohammed Anka, Senate minority whip, to question the loan was dismissed by Senator Wabara who asked him if he wanted his own personal loan. N5.52 billion ($40 million) of the loan package is to help Ghana complete its part of financing of the West African Gas project, while N690 million ($5 million) is to enable Sao Tome and Principe meet emergency needs of the little island nation. The loan package was hailed by some Senators including Senators Inatimi Spiff (PDP, Bayelsa), Isa Mohammed (PDP, Niger) and Farouk Bello (ANPP, Kebbi). http://www.modernghana.com/news/60030/1/nigeria-grants-ghana-40-million-loan.html Pay us this money back first, which is just one of many loans we have giving Ghana. Then Ill explain to u how Nigeria exports electricity to you. Befor your much hailed and failed power volta project in 1962. |
