A humble exhortation to be doers of the law and not hearers only, by the grace & Spirit & Strength & Power of The LORD GOD, and the Faith of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." - James 1:22-25

remembering always that though we are commanded to keep the law, as we should, the keeping of the law with reliance solely thereon unto salvation is error, but rather belief in/faith in (of) The Lord JESUS CHRIST, given by The LORD Himself unto salvation, because The Lord has already done all the work, and we enter into HIS rest & we establish the law -

"For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law." - Galatians 5:3

"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." - Romans 3:20

"Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." - Romans 3:30-31

my friend, may GOD help us all - “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of GOD;” - Rom 3:23; “For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of GOD [is] eternal life through JESUS CHRIST our Lord.” - Rom 6:23. above all things, this is what matters.

@Joagbaje, when i mentioned the apostle John and Moses, i merely refer to them as the last and first prophets (or servants/sons of GOD, The Lord JESUS CHRIST) through whom HE/GOD wrote the last and first books of the holy Bible, not to say that they were the last and first prophets that there were or ever will be. GOD knows all things - from all indications, the first prophet of GOD we seem to witness in the bible is Abel, whom Cain slew and Abel was before Enoch.

@God2man - I'm saying the only prophecy there was, is or every will be are the holy words which come from the mouth of holy GOD. Considering that there are many deceivers in the world, and have been, even more so now in these very last days, would you believe only the word of GOD, which is truth. ("Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."- John 17:17), OR, contrary to the word of GOD, believe anything and everything any man tells you "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged." - Romans 3:4

I could tell you that i am a nuclear physicist who has been to the moon and returned with moon rocks that do unimaginable things - it doesn't mean its true.

prophets of GOD are people/anyone who are/is saved in and by The Lord JESUS CHRIST, who are truly born again, born of The Spirit, by HIS mercy and grace alone. In sum, all I'm saying is that since GOD completed the holy Bible, all prophecy is contained in the holy Bible, therefore, trust only the holy word of GOD, never any words of man or dreams, etc as the word of GOD by which we live.

sex outside of marriage at anytime is a bad idea. Comes with physical (promiscuous or not, diseases, drama, etc), and especially spiritual consequences (sin before GOD). Pls, avoid it.

friends, we must be very careful not to add to or subtract from The words of GOD, the holy scriptures, the holy bible.

The last prophet to whom GOD revealed His holy word(s) to was the apostle John in the aile of Patmos in about a.d. 95 (the book of Revelation was the last book of the entire prophecy of God, Moses being the 1st prophet to pen the first five books). Nothing outside of the Holy Bible is prophecy! There are reasons why GOD says so1). Everything, we need to know is in the Bible!  we don't even fully understand everything in it, talk less of, outside because they are "spiritually discerned" - 1 Corinthians 2:14 & The LORD GOD is the only one who opens the understanding when it pleases HIM to do so, with whom it pleases HIM to do so.  "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." Deuteronomy 32:4 ,  For:

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" 2 Peter 1:21.

(2).The devil/satan comes as an angel of light. he tries to twist &/or add to God's Word(s), just like he did to adam and eve in the garden of eden, to distract from what GOD has actually said, thus, they & all mankind were plunged into sin, sold to him & placed under the wrath of The Most High GOD.

do you know that he has not stopped? "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." -Revelation 12:12 (cross reference -John 12:31)

Praise The Holy Father / GOD for The Lord Jesus Christ, The mighty GOD, & the power of His redemption through His atoning sacrifice for the sins of many, & His glorious resurrection & dominion!

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. When we read Holy Bible, we're 100% sure that it's all the Word of God alone, not of man, listen only to the Bible, "for the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword"! (Hebrews 4:12). GOD has commanded us not to add (i.e., say we have additional words) especially when they are not from the Bible, or subtract.  It comes with serious consequences - "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and from the things which are written in this book." Rev 22:18-19.

"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5-6

Excerpt  - ["And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered. (Joel 2:28-32)

To understand this passage we must recognize that there are two days which Scripture refers to as Judgment Day. The one we normally think of is the one at the end of time. Christ stood before God as a guilty sinner on our behalf, was condemned for our sins, and God poured out His wrath on Him.

This was demonstrated at the cross. That was also Judgment Day. We also see this correlation in that the sun is darkened for both events (Luke 23:44; Revelation 6:12), and a great earthquake accompanies both events (Matthew 27:51; Revelation 6:12).

Knowing that two different days fit the bill, we need to determine which one is being referenced in the prophecy of Joel. It says that following that day anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Salvation does not occur after Judgment Day at the end of time, but it does occur throughout the New Testament era that follows the cross.

When we recognize that Joel is speaking of the events surrounding the cross it makes perfect sense that there would be dreams and visions; these are avenues God was still using to bring additional revelation right up to about AD 95 when the Bible was completed. Acts 2:16 clearly tells us that the prophecy of Joel was fulfilled in AD 33: “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel.”]

How do these "prophecies" re: football match scores, airplanes and deaths assist in anyone's salvation through The Lord JESUS CHRIST from the wrath of GOD for sin? They are distractions. Beware, because this has, and is happening until the very end, (which is imminent) - "And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live." - Revelation 13:12-14

This is what matters, and this is prophecy, for it is the word of GOD re: all mankind.

Reading anything outside of the holy Bible, (that is, Genesis to Revelations), is a mistake. The Lord GOD knows precisely what HE inspired to be written and has full control of what constitutes the Bible, HIS holy word. Despite attempts to deceive with extra material. Pls, stick to the Bible.

@ecenter, friend,  all human beings since the fall of man are born spiritually dead, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." - 1 Corinthians 15:22,  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of GOD;” - Rom 3:23  "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;" - Ephesians 2:1

These parts of holy scripture,
"For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband." - Romans 7:2, AND

"The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord." - 1 Corinthians 7:39

- are referring to the physical death of the spouse.  Even in such cases, even when loosed from a wife, and or spouse by physical death, we do not sin if we re-marry, although, we do better if we remain single, serving and pleasing GOD with our entire being, by HIS grace

"Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife." - 1 Corinthians 7:27, "But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife." -  1 Corinthians 7:33

If we have an unbelieving spouse and/or spiritually dead spouse, we are to love them in The Lord, and remain with them until death do you part:
"And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away." - 1 Corinthians 7:10-12

With re: to use of condoms between a married couple, i would think it contrary to the holy word of GOD. The use thereof at its core, whether for "practical" reasons or not denotes this - "i as a human being am in control and know what's better for me, rather than GOD". People often say, "GOD is in control", believe it, GOD is truly in control, YAHWEH reigns!

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." - Psalm 127:3-5 (a quiver, i understand typically holds at least 12 arrows).

The Lord also gave/ gives command to "be fruitful and multiply" to mankind (in marriage). (Genesis 1:28, Genesis 8:17, Genesis 9:1, etc)

Truly, pros = none, cons = many, including, but not limited to, diseases, heart ache, "drama" and most especially sin before GOD which comes with consequences. Truly.

"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:"-Col 3:5-6

truly friend, it is, see Matt 28:1 (particularly the original texts as opposed to the translation, though KJV is mostly accurate). The Sunday that the Lord JESUS CHRIST arose began a new era of "sabbaths" on Sunday, with the new testament churches. The Lord GOD was righteously done with the nation of Israel as the official custodians of HIS holy word (the temple veil was torn in two-Mar 15:38, no more animal sacrifices pointing to the Lord JESUS CHRIST, but instead, The Lord's table /holy communion and water baptism as new signs in the new testament churches - which time is also over almost 2000 years later.).

by GOD's grace, to keep the entire day holy, "praying without ceasing"- 1 Thess 5:17, remaining in the holy word of GOD and "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" - Eph 5:19

GOD is the only true solution to a broken heart, or anything, "watch and pray" - "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." - Mark 12:30

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Even a true servant / believer of GOD, The Lord JESUS CHRIST, who is truly saved by GOD’s grace (not our works- Eph 2:8-9, Eph 2:5), is capable of falling into sin – [king David is an example- 2 Sam 11 & resulting Psalm 51, certainly I, praise GOD for HIS great mercy & goodness] - suffering distraction, if we take our eyes off the Lord JESUS CHRIST; though in The Lord’s great faithfulness, loving kindness and mercy, [for HE IS Faithful and True], keeps HIS own unto salvation. (1 Pet 1:5). Though know, any backsliding of GOD’s own will result in chastisement, and the backsliding of any not belonging to HIM, will result in death. “I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:” - 2 Sam 7:14 (see also Job 5:17, Pro 3:11, Isa 26:16, Heb 12:5-11, Heb 13:5)

Exhortation to beware, particularly in this very evil, last days: - "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." - Matt 24:12-14

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” - Heb 10:38-39

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” - Heb 4:14-16

So, please remain in the holy word of GOD, The Bible - “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” - 1Pet 4:7

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” – Matt 26:41

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” - Isa 55:6-7

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. What The Lord GOD commands, for “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” -2 Timothy 3:16-17
"The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock." -1 Peter 5:1-3 (also, 1 Timothy 3:3, 1 Timothy 3:8, Titus 1:7 & Titus 1:11)

but the churches are under the righteous judgment of GOD, as is the rest of the world. - "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" -1 Peter 4:17

Let me encourage everyone, self included, to be a follower of GOD, The Lord JESUS CHRIST only, by HIS grace, particularly in this day and age (in these very last days), wherein are many deceivers. The infallible, life-giving, true word of GOD is pure, abides forever and never deceives. Keep reading and keep praying (1 Thess 5:17), "watch and pray".
