Deepest sympathy for those who experienced deadboot on their 9t
Can you guys please check the manufacturing date of your device?
Do I need to buy my 9t from rayacare in order to return it if dead boot happens?

jumia
That's impossible unless you can contact the store you want to order from, to check the production date for you before ordering

I am buying online, is there any way I can view the imei?
I don't think so. Is it from jumia or another vendor?

The problem is from the power IC that was not made properly for the first batch of Redmi 9T and Poco M3 produced. They later discovered and started correcting it from April, I have one made in January, I hope I don't experience the issue.
Xiaomi do not have a fully reasonable working service center in Nigeria. What they did to the customers in India an Bangladesh was that they took the dead phone from them and replaced the full phone panel with a new one not having the issue for free.

I'm not sure they would do that here. The boards they have may not be enough to go round or won't want to lose profits.

Thanks for this post. According to my phone box mine was made in 2021 04. I'm not taking any chances though, I'm sticking with 12.0.10 till thy kingdom come

Damnnn. I was actually looking forward to update my 9T to 12.0.16 but it seems like I'll hold off and stick to my 12.0.10 until further notice

Did the update pop up on your device, or did you go online to download it manually?

What MIUI version were you on before, and what model is your device please?
I'm in 12.0.11 right now. I'm using redmi 9t.
I already deactivated auto update but when I check for updates manual, 12.0.15 popped up

I knew the ones with issues are on 12.0.9 and below. Mine came with 12.0.10 and now updated to 12.0.11. so it's understandable that I experience not even a glitch before and after the update
I've received the updated for 12.0.15 but I'm yet to update. I need reviews first

It means the fall disconnected the fingerprint sensor from the phone. It's an hardward issue

I've already disabled all form of auto updates but out of curiosity I checked for updates and it popped up.

I'm on 12.0.10 on Redmi 9T

1. Using battery Saver less than 20% is counter productive. From my experience on more than 3 phones it uses more battery.

2. Anti-Roll Back is baked in the software you can't do anything about it.

3. Redmi 9T is currently on 12.0.15 meaning you are updates behind.
I also got the update for 12.0.15 but I'm yet to update.
I want to get feedback from folks on it first

I like this line. But it doesn't work that way in all cases though. Sometimes you gotta stack towards a goal
The difference is that you're not just stacking; it's towards something which mean you have every intention of using it
