Hello Fashionicon, There may be more than what the eye can see in the application for your sister, sorry about the refusal. I will suggest you request GCMS note for more clarity, if you consider a consultant, I will say that, what the consultant will do is the same thing you can also do. Your sister in Nigeria need more home tiers (Family, Job, Business, others), more funds to proof she is able to fund herself with an LOE from the sister in Canada explaining she will be responsible for her well beign, she also need to explain how important it will be to have her sister in Canada for few weeks, tie this to the family history and other important stuffs around it. Let her also make available more documents before you reapply to convince the VO this time (her PR Card, Job letter, Pay stub, Account Statement, Home Uitlity Bill, Invitation Letter, Family Picture together with her etc). With a PR inviting a relative she is a step ahead of any regular application, she only need to build a stronger case this time, have seen single individual application approved, even with no bank statement while the invitee was a PR and made available all documents. I wish you the best ahead fashionicon: |

Accessed:Hello Accessed, Though am not an expert I wish to give a personal insight into your application plans. *If you have your first and second tution fees, additional $10K living expenses and $5k extra, that will be a good one with the etra $3k, but if you only have those stated amounts without paying full tution or having extra funds to show that you are financially able to pay the second year fee, I will suggest you use your siblings as co-sponsor to boost your financial stand with the VO, otherwise, accept the gift deed, get an LOE in that regards stating the lump sum, your sibling can also show the transaction from his/er account with a suporting document to show the fund is legit with right intention. * While pension does not count as proof of fund, you can also value the two lands to show as back up funds for ties and family at home, since your spouse can fund family with the enterprise, kindly get every possibly support you can to have excess of funds to cover for all your study, a year living expenses with a little extra. * While no 2 application is the same, I will ask that you do your best without too much stress, package your documents and submit while you pray and hope for the best. Success awaits you |
FYI, Government of Canada announced the removal of all COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, effective October 1, 2022. The removal of border measures has been facilitated by a number of factors, including modelling that indicates that Canada has largely passed the peak of the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 fuelled wave, Canada’s high vaccination rates, lower hospitalization and death rates, as well as the availability and use of vaccine boosters (including new bivalent formulation), rapid tests, and treatments for COVID-19. Effective October 1, 2022, all travellers, regardless of citizenship, will no longer have to: submit public health information through the ArriveCAN app or website; provide proof of vaccination; undergo pre- or on-arrival testing; carry out COVID-19-related quarantine or isolation; monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 upon arriving to Canada. Transport Canada is also removing existing travel requirements. As of October 1, 2022, travellers will no longer be required to: undergo health checks for travel on air and rail; or wear masks on planes and trains. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/news/2022/09/government-of-canada-to-remove-covid-19-border-and-travel-measures-effective-october-1.html

Princessmay11:Hello Princessmay11, Not sure if anything answered you, just to add if they did, home ties are substance based effidence that links an applicant back to his home country, this could be in numerous areas and not limited to immediate family, business, assets, jobs, investment in the country etc. It shows the visa officer that the applicant is not using the application has a means to leave his or her country and not to return but those ties links an applicant back to his or her country, showing relevance to his or her return. Home ties is one of the strongest thing that applicant can show to their country of residence as proof that they will return when their trip to Canada is over. Others can as well add more input if you need more clarity. Hope it helps, best wishes in your applciation. |

Hello Jeffi7 Not sure if anyone had answered you but let me add this, Upkeep through bank? Not sure what that means in bank terms but you can always apply for PTA any amount not exceeding $4k, you can just do $1k and in 2-3weeks (depending on bank) you will get it once you have your Visa you can apply for it, either way, will advice you just hold few box of cash Naira or US and change at the airport (Please do not change large amount, cause their rates are ridiculous compared to how much Canada Banks will change USD to CAD for you), you can also do aboki for few 100 box, once you get a CAD bank account, you can move funds using apps (Lemonade, Exchanger etc) to your account easily and at convenient rates.
