Make no mistake please. SA schools cannot register you with a temporary visa. The school will only register you when your visa shows it is a study permit and the school's name is written on it. As a matter of fact, you cannot get a study visa for UNISA and then try to use it to register for another degree programme at UP. SaintBees: I can get an evisa.. register in school and get a permanent one |

Also, you cannot study in another institution with that same visa as the visa vignette carries the details of UP only. You will need to apply for another study visa to study in another institution. Maz8: No. A study visa is a type of long term temporary residency visa that allows the international student to legally stay in South Africa for the period and school indicated on the visa vignette. Therefore, you are not restricted to Pretoria; you can move in and around South Africa. However, the restriction is that you cannot use a study visa to enjoy any benefits outside the scope of the benefits offered by your study visa e.g. you are not allowed to work with a study visa. You’ll need a work visa to do this. |

Sadly, you are part of the problem Nigerians are facing in SA. How would you overstay your permit and be comfortable with that? Later, y'all will be complaining that they are not granting your brothers visa... We know what is right but we just choose not to do it. xolanimo: Hello, this E visa, how does it work? My background; I am in SA but have overstayed my permit & its difficult to renew.
I'm wondering if I can apply for Study visa here again via the e-visa hence my question.
Thanks for your reply. |

Thank you. That means it is just the travel history to SA that counts. antzlaive: They handle Visitors/Holiday Visa also. Mine was a Holiday Visa. See the cropped image below. I hope this settles it. |

Based on their response, that's what they indicated. However, @antzlaive might be able to shed more light on the type of visa he applied for to clarify this. AskGod07: Is it only business evisa VFS are handle? What about tourist ? I have been to South Africa on tourist visa before |

Oh! So one can walk-in to VFS office and request for the evisa option there right? Was that how you did yours? antzlaive: When u go to submit physically ask them for eVisa Services, they will attend to you, go with a dollar card for eVisa payment. Naira card is not accepted. They is a service fee if done in their office. |

Isn't this what I advised anyone to do as well? I do not have any need to apply for a temporary visa to SA at the moment. Hence, I am not in a position to do the verification. antzlaive: Oga, VFS is not a ghost organisation, call them and verify. |

I did not dispute what you had shared. I only requested anyone to do the right thing by verifying the information before using the platform. When did that become aspersions? Even the official website of DHA is faulty and people have lost money while attempting to use it. There is no crime in verifying information before using it. Last time I checked, the points I raised in my post about the website are things everybody and anybody can reason with and pick up easily as well. The onus is on individuals to take necessary steps in verifying the authenticity of the information. antzlaive: Most times people have legit info, but refuse to share here, because all those that have nothing to share come with all this negative energy. What's so hard in putting a call through to VFS to verify rather than coming here to cast aspersions. This Nigeria don affect people aswear. It's not your fault. |

Guys, don't fall for this yet. Ensure you verify before you submit any application. It looked like a cloned site and how is VFS processing evisa for Nigerians only but there is no news about it anywhere else on the internet ? Be wise please to avoid stories that touch. Did you notice that the HTTP in the address does not have a "S" as well unlike the DHA website? Be certain and verify the website before you make any submission and payment. A word is enough for the wise. antzlaive: Through VFS http://southafrica.vfsevisa.com
Through DHA https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/home |

It was not stated that your bank statement is illegal. They claimed it is inconsistent most likely because the 1.6m balance wasn't in the account all along. The money was deposited into the account along the line with no tangible trace of where the money came from or what you did you get the money at that point in time. Be sure of the terminology used before you waste your money on legal action. judecares1: U mean am lying ? Na wa, person talk truth una nor won believe again? 1.6m Am ready to take up any legal action against any corporate body/individual who feels that my bank statement is illegal, the statement was generated and duly signed by the bank,so am not scared of anything. The document will be rejected at the point of submission as the VFS agents already know that police clearance from Nigeria is only valid for 3months. QuackZulu: Hello guys, I need some help on the issue of police clearance. I applied for the Nigerian Police Clearance three months ago, unfortunately, due to the three-month expiry date for PC certificates issued in Nigeria, it has expired. However, the SA rule for police clearance states they accept police clearances issued under 6 months from the date of application. This is on the study visa application list of requirements. My question is, do I reapply for a new Nigerian police clearance or use my three-month-old police clearance (expired in Nigeria according to our police rules but valid according to the rules I saw on the SA study visa application document)? Is it worth the risk? Thank you |

Saka5: I know of a Nigerian guy with HND who was admitted into a Master's degree programme at the University of Johannesburg and successfully graduated. I think you could approach schools, expressing your interest and providing them with your qualifications. A lot of things have changed since 2020 academic year in SA education system. To get admission for MSc in SA schools, you need to have SAQA certificate and your degree must be rated NQF level 8. Even for schools that do not require SAQA for admission, they will still require you to have completed a 5year BSc degree before you are considered for MSc admission. |

I've done about 6 SA visa applications for myself and colleagues and we've never used a paid reservation. Free booking has always been sufficient and the visas were granted. If you have the money, there is no crime is going for the paid reservation also to boost your application. Anu24: reservation is different from booking for payment for normal flight of about 150k.There are paid reservation of about 15 to 20k, that's what I mean to check if truly you did reservation, some people might be lucky to get visa for the free booking and am telling you some might not be lucky, cos at times the free reservation might be on hold as at the time the embassy is verifying it. |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hopcious: 8:06pm On Oct 05, 2021 |
Please, don't waste your money to book a flight ahead. It is not advisable and the embassy does not encourage such also. Anu24: they normally verify the flight inteniarry so as to ascertain if truly you booked a flight,to be on a safer side is better you go for the payment own,cos is open for verification at any point in time unlike the free flight reservation that might not be available for verification as at the time they check for it. |

No, you don't need it. SAQA is not a requirement for your visa application or approval. shawnmich: Please any guru in the house should advice. In a case whereby the school I applied to doesn't need saqa, will I need to submit saqa for my study permit at the embassy or it doesn't need since the school doesn't need it? Please advice |

Good Morning House.
I have a quick question. Will my 2months old baby be counted as a dependant on my study visa application? Also, will I need to have the amount of money to cover for a dependant in my POF because of the 2months old baby?
Thank you for the prompt response. |

Congratulations to you finally!!! My wife's own came out two weeks ago also after 3months of waiting. Truly, they still issue visas but you will have to be patient. chrisbada: Hi Guys,
So my spousal permit renewal was delivered yesterday after a long wait.
I am rooting for everyone here still waiting for their visas.
I pray the good news will come soon.
It is evident that the consulate is still issuing VISA's but you will have to be prepared to wait. I will advise you to try to occupy yourself with something else ( Maybe a short term project or a goal) while you wait.. as the waiting could be quite frustrating.
Cheers |

ashaju33: It is a visiting visa. I applied for myself and also served as sponsor for my wife. I didn't write a clarity letter because part of the inflow is a bonus from my employer although more than my monthly salary as stated in the employer's letter of introduction. That could be a deciding factor. They usually want to know about any inflow that doesn't correlate with the monthly income. That gives them an idea of how you got the money in your account for the 3months period. |

HermajestyQ: The denial is not really about your bank balance/ cash inflow or outflow. I think it's just luck. I applied in April with 96k balance and was given multiple entry visa. Just God and luck! If I remember vividly, yours was a study visa and you probably had a funding letter attached to your application. Yes, I agree that the God factor plays a major role in getting these approvals, also, the type of visa you are applying for, will determine if you will be rejected based on your account balance. This is because they don't want you to come into the country and become a liability to them and given the fact that they know people have a way of padding their account balance for travelling purposes to make it look as if they have the capacity to take care of themselves during the journey. A visit visa shows you are intending to go into the country for a short period of time, not necessarily for anything tangible than to relax and given the present state of how Nigerians are emigrating and also how they get into foreign countries on short term visa only to start finding a way to beat the system and not want to leave when their visa elapses, the home affairs needed to take more precaution in how they approve visit visa to Nigerians. At that point, it is at the discretion of the officer evaluating your documents to "assume" your SOA is not genuine as you do not have a substantial explanation for the cash inflow and outflow. |
