dominique: With the IMEI tracker they can easily trace the phone number currently linked with the phone. Even if you throw away the sim and put another one in it, they will still find out. Sorry, you've been swindled into buying a phone bought on loan and you'll have to pay for the phone or the phone will be rendered useless once the repayment period has elapsed Really?? So IMEI no can be used to get a number on the phone. If so, why are stolen phones not being recovered easily? There's no easybuy app or tell tale sign that the phone is on loan. If the phone is truly on loan, I will return to the seller. I know his shop else the police will step in. |

stano2: They don’t need to get your details, the apps on your phone will gradually stop working, na you go use your hand call them and continue paying from where the original buyer stopped paying. If not the phone will be useless to you, even calculator app no go work. Thank you for the information, This is my situation. I recently bought a phone from a UK used shop. Few days ago, easy buy called me and addressed me with a wrong name, asking me to pay up my loan and I was trying to tell the call agent that I am not the one with the name. Shockingly, on the phone calendar, there's a reminder tagged 'easybuy repayment' . The whole thing is confusing to me because I have nothing to do with easy buy, didn't give them my number. |

Mackie1: Yes, that's where it'll go. VFS Lagos will send your passport to Abuja for the actual visa. This is why most people prefer sending directly to Abuja. It takes out the middle man which in this case is the branch in Lagos. oh thank you sir . |

AbleGodDidIt: Good Day Well Meaning Nairalanders.
Please I need your honest opinion and advice on this issue of mine.
I bought an estate land in Abuja about two years ago amounting to 2m+, was given an allocation letter. On the letter it states I’m to commence development within 3months of issuance and pay 1.5m for infrastructure and development. The infrastructure could be paid in installments.
Since then, I haven’t been able to pay nor commence any development on the land. So this last month, I visited the site and only about 5 ppl have commenced building. So I decided to begin something also at least.
Contacted them to notify and make part payments for the infrastructure only for them to tell me the land has been revoked that according to the allocation letter and a final notification sent to me sometime in January, I have defaulted and so I don’t own a land there no more until I pay 2.5m for infrastructure, survey and development or wait for 10years to be relocated to another site.
Honestly I was beyond shocked and thought it was a joke initially oooo, I don’t really know much about properties. Just a lady trying and struggling to make life better for herself. I told them this is cheating and fraud and they started telling me to mind my words I should go get my lawyer as their legal team would take it up from here. I’m to pay 2.5m within a month or forfeit the land for relocation after 10years that it has been sold to another person. That infrastructure is expensive and the price of materials they’re getting now isn’t same as it were when I purchased the land.
Please what do I do? What necessary step do I take from here? If not this Abuja that one fears demolition sebi I for buy native land build jeje all in all I no go spend pass 5m both land and building ooo.
Now I bought estate land but see me see gbege ooo So sorry about this, read through the agreement signed and see if that's what you both agreed to. The natives land ain't secure too, most of the natives are as well fraudulent and wicked. I have had a share of their evil deeds. Buying land in Abuja generally is a high risk business unless serious due diligence is done. |

However while trying to merge the files using I love my pdf, I got a prompt that it can't be processed because the file is damaged or corrupted. So, how do I go about it? |

Hollyharjii: Hello Nairalanders,
I'll be brief as possible, I'm currently working with one Microfinance Bank as a full staff, which the pay is #50000 per month and after pension and tax, I'm left with 46k every month, this has been my salary for the past 14months. I'm been used like four man. Recently, during the board meeting, they realised that there most resourceful employees are quiting for better offer as such they decided to increase the pay and likely to be implemented this April salary.
As a guy who want more for his life and want to be financially stable, I applied for one commercial bank job and I got an offer with a gross pay of #80,000 but it's a contract job but this bank usually do a conversion program to convert contract job to full staff unlike some other banks, I'm sure of the conversion
Have accepted the offer and I told them that I'll resume next week after the Easter break but my resignation letter with the MFB has not been acknowledged till now, also considering if the increase the salary this month, wouldn't it be equivalent to what the commercial bank is going to pay? As well wouldn't be a breach of contract to decline the offer after accepting it overnight?
I need a professional advice as I'm confused on what to do Hmm, I was in similar situation few weeks ago. I was even threatened with a law suit but i moved. On resignation, your employer has no right to decline your resignation. |
