If you are Igbo outside south east, Nairaland is the most dangerous place to get news about what is happening on ground.

Speak to your relatives directly. You will be surprised that they are going about their businesses most of the time without any problems.

This is welcome news all round. Lagos property prices are well out of control.

The more people that leave to go to other places, the better.

Hopefully those places they are going to can cope with the influx of people and property price increases will be steady.

Lagos properties were highly inflated. If you see the quality of property that you will get in Kenya or South Africa for the same price, you will marvel at the audacity of Nigerian agents and developers.

As you can see from the above post, the south East is is not as bad as made on social media.

If one person is killed in the south east, 7 people killed in the south west and 40 people killed in the north. Guess which one is circulated more on nairaland and generates 15 pages.

Ndi Igbo be careful of the vices of your enemies.

Ndi Igbo must be very careful of the narrative pushed on this tribalistic forum. Here are crime numbers for 2023.

If you can read the data below, you shouldn’t have problems understanding that Nairaland propaganda is different from reality.

Don’t let outsiders who passionately hate you deceive you.

Which east ? Stop deluding yourself. Just mention a single billionaire business man living in any part of the traditional 5 South Eastern states and I will give you a million naira. Even the so called meeting amongst ibo elders is done outside the southeast. Obi china lives in lagos, the shameless Kenneth Okonkwo rants from his lagos abode while evil twin psaure and that old fool charlie boy can't last 5 minutes in the east. Every other prominent person from southeast have moved to asaba or elsewhere.
Southeast is the most hopeless place to live at the moment, far beneath desolate places like Zamfara or Boko haram states.

Everything you just vomited has nothing to do with the topic. It’s like you have been itching to spill this drivel.

Funny.
What a cheap propaganda.

My guy this is no propaganda. Please speak to any real estate agent especially ones in lekki areas. It’s been a struggle since this election.

Also news from yesterday shows that even diaspora remittances is significantly down for Nigeria based on data from first half of this year.

Election have consequences.

Thanks to the most hate driven and tribalistic election by APC goons. Lagos real estate market is struggling.

Who in their right mind goes to invest their hard earned money in a place that is hostile to them and threatens to take their investments.

Geometric power is the only electric company in Nigeria that has license to Generate and Distribute Power.

They were granted this power before the electricity reform during GEJ administration.

They almost lost it but thanks to the hard fought battle by Barth Nnaji, an exception was made for them in court.

Read this news from yesterday about geometric power. They have started generating power starting with one out of four turbines. This is a big deal.

Geometric Power Plant to add 188MW to national grid

By Sulaimon Salau
09 July 2023 | 3:44 am

Electricity generation in the country is on the verge of receiving a boost as Geometric Power Plant in Aba, Abia State, is set to add 188 megawatts (MW) to the national grid in the next two months.

The Group Chairman, Geometric Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji, who is also a former Minister of Power, disclosed this in a statement, saying the plant would start operations with one of its four General Electric brand turbines.

He added that the second would come on stream once the performance of the first turbine is declared satisfactory by the team of engineers led by KSE Energy of Turkey and a former Executive Director of the defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), Ben Caven, reputed to be the only person to have run the generation, engineering and transmission divisions of the Authority before it was privatised.

Abagworo:

It's not Onitsha per say but an emerging megacity stretching from Asaba to Owerri which is already the biggest urban area in Nigeria presently with conglomerate twice the size of Lagos and 8 times the size of Port Harcourt. I wish Southeast and Asaba could plan well for this emerging megalopolis of over 30 million.

You are very correct. It’s the Onitsha metropolitan area which encompasses surrounding cities. They will merge with continuous development within the next two decades.

Governor Otti should see this through.

If Abia gets it right, together with Anambra, it can become the new headquarters of Igbo trade.

Alaba will easily be relocated so that “Yoruba Ronu” people can use the land to build BRT park like they’ve been longing to do.

Enyimba Economic City is a game changer. It will be the first modern city in Alaigbo.

I believe once they start executing, a revolution in city planning will start because everyone will try to copy its design.
