Absolute cock and bull.

Under international maritime law, if there is a naval blockade in place and a hostile vessel is enroute to breaking this blockade, you have the authority to board and seize the vessel.

Stop all this hear say , third party hypothesis.
No, no, and no, the Israelis don't have the authority to board and seize the vessel in international waters, this is a direct violation to the International Law (read the laws), this hostile action has taken place in international waters. The boat was not in Israeli waters, PERIOD and FACT.

Have a look at the original thread. I am sure this issue was raised. There are plenty reasons to suggest it is not illegal, and many to say it is. It all depends on what you want to believe. smiley
We don't deal with beliefs here but with Facts, so there is nothing that I want to believe. The geographic map of international water is a Fact not a belief. The violation of international law and The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) by Israel is also a Fact. The Convention entered into force in accordance with its article 308 on 16 November 1994, 12 months after the date of deposit of the sixtieth instrument of ratification or accession. Today, it is the globally recognized regime dealing with all matters relating to the law of the sea. The Convention (full text) comprises 320 articles and nine annexes, governing all aspects of ocean space, such as delimitation, environmental control, marine scientific research, economic and commercial activities, transfer of technology and the settlement of disputes relating to ocean matters.

Some of the key features of the Convention are the following:

* Coastal States exercise sovereignty over their territorial sea which they have the right to establish its breadth up to a limit not to exceed 12 nautical miles; foreign vessels are allowed "innocent passage" through those waters.

An attack in international waters is illegal. Period. End of discussion. Instead of framing the issue as American and Israeli media outlets want you to see the issue, the more important aspect of the story is the violation of international law and The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) by Israel.
Sports › Re: Breaking News: Ferdinand & Drogba Out Of World Cup by Horus(m): 9:00pm On Jun 05, 2010
Drogba and Ferdinand out of World Cup

Years ago, I was deemed unfit to play in a big soccer match due to what the medical community at the time called a "tummy ache," likely caused by an ill-advised gorging of mint chocolate chip ice cream too close to game time.

Now it looks like anyone whose already submitted their World Cup pool picks will have that same horrid gut rot, with today's news that the Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba and England's Rio Ferdinand will both likely miss the big party in South Africa due to a broken arm and knackered knee, respectively.

Drogba, the prolific striker picked by many to lead the tourney in goals, fractured his right arm during Ivory Coast's final warm-up match versus Japan. While it's not 100% that Drogba will not play at all, Ivory Coast manager Sven Goran Eriksson told the Associated Press, presumably while dousing his team's hopes in gasoline, "Of course I'm worried."

England captain Ferdinand, meanwhile, is said to be out for sure. The 31-year-old Manchester United veteran hurt his knee in a training session earlier today. No stranger to injury, Ferdinand was held to only 12 Premeir League starts this season due to a back problem. Not to worry England fans! As a Tottenham supporter, I assure you that Michael Dawson will be a GIANT out there as Ferdinand's replacement.

Religion is for drop outs. People hold on to religion, like a crutch because they can't make it any other way. With religion you stop being responsible for your own actions and blame someone else like God when it's something you like and the Devil when it's something you don't like.

Those people in Israel today are not the real Israelites. If they were, they wouldn’t need armies to fight for them. According to their Torah, their God fought their battles for them. The Israelite’s God kicked much butt for them. Right now these people who are claiming to be the Israelites are getting their butts kicked. Can’t you see the irony in the story?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Fires On Unarmed Aid Convoy. Many Dead! by Horus(m): 9:05pm On Jun 02, 2010
I believe the Israelis gave repeated warnings to the group of protesters/aid workers not to enter Israeli territory.
But the boat was attacked in international waters, and not Israeli water. Israel went too far this time and brutally and methodically attacked and murdered peaceful activists who wanted nothing more than to deliver aid to a population in suffering.

It has almost become a cliché to hear people say that they are spiritual people but that they are not religious, or that they want no part of an organized religion with its doctrines, rules, and rites. Why is such a position unlikely to satisfy the "spiritual" needs or hungers that people have?
Religion is the banana skin and spirituality is the banana. The misery in the world is because religious people throw away the banana and are holding on to the skin.

Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Connection Between Jesus And Zeus? by Horus(m): 12:09am On May 26, 2010
JESUS AND ZEUS - JESUS IS ZEUS

That statement is enough to call forth the stoners to take aim, yet it is a provable fact. And if Jesus is indeed Zeus, then that opens to us the whole world of mythology in which to seek ,that we may find the secret of life itself. So let us look at the evidence, and you decide.

JESUS IS THE SUN GOD

This statement is proved by the Bible. In Revelation 3:14 , Jesus is speaking, and refers to himself as "the Amen".

Amen Ra is the name of an Egyptian Sun God. This is borne out in Matthew 2:15. The scripture states that Joseph took Jesus to Egypt to fulfill the prophecy, " out of Egypt have I called my son". In other discussions with you, I have shown you how the life of Jesus duplicates the trajectory of the Sun in the sky. Also the fact that in Greek, the name Jesus has the numerical value of 888, which is the number of the mythical Sun.

THE RAM HEAD SUN GOD

Amen Ra is a specific Egyptian Sun God. It is the Ram Head Sun God. The part that is interesting here is that the Ram Head Sun God, in Greece, is connected with Zeus. In the Bible, Jesus is the Lamb of God.

THE ZEUS-JESUS CONNECTION

Now that we have established a connection between Jesus, Amen Ra, and Zeus, let us look into the mythology of Greece and see some striking similarities.

JESUS TO EGYPT/ZEUS TO CRETE

When Jesus was born, the wicked King Herod was killing all the children because he was afraid that Jesus would overthrow his kingdom. When Zeus was born, his wicked father Kronos was swallowing the newborns because he was afraid that Zeus was going to overthrow his kingdom. Jesus was taken to Egypt to escape from Herod. Zeus was taken to Crete to escape from Kronos.

The negative portrayal of Nigeria and Africa by The BBC is a deliberate and systematic process that is created and sustained by the bias in the way this British media select African news stories. In the past, the BBC also portrayed Nairobi as a slum. The BBC also portrayed Soweto as a slum; Coincidence?. Is it “Welcome to Lagos”? or "Welcome to the slum"?

The EU is nothing but one large welfare state- the stronger states (Germany) support the weaker states (Ireland, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria etc etc etc) It has been a great ride betting against the EU and making money on their collapse- the greatest fund manager of all time said, "its only a matter of time before the European Union becomes the European Disunion, in short less than 2 years." That was last year. Anyone who has ever lived in Europe knows that their system is fundamentally flawed. It was nice while it lasted,

I think the Euro will flop!

Greece said it is going to the IMF for relief, you know what that means,
We Africans need to start now in empowering ourselves as Europe continues to spiral downward. Yes, Europe is on verge of economic collapse, but should we care about Europe?. We need more to focus on what is beneficial to our survival and economic stability in Africa.

In about 2000-3000 more years, muslims will become as civilized as present day christians, ie with all their acknowledged human frailities of today. Until then, I don't suppose anybody with a 6th century mentality should really criticize the open philosophies of christians in 2010. Christians criticize each other as way of improving certain doctrinal shortcomings; from Martin Luther King to John Smith, but muslims remain pre-historic because criticizims = death. Look me in the eyes, no yourself in the mirrow and honestly say that no muslim cleric has ever molested a child. You can't do that, because you're a liar by religion

Now, a little lesson about etymology: Seminary----is from seminar, or discussion group of ideas, seeds of ideas. Middle English has it as originating from seed or semen: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/seminary?&qsrc=

Rectory--- is from rector, or the priest's house, no where does it indicate or have any origin with rectum. It's middle Latin, and rectum is more like procto in latin. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rectory?&qsrc=
So where did you get all your convoluted and false word origins, or you just want to score a quick and cheap religious point, thereby giving away your own rectal inclinations? Dan gurugu, ne
I am NOT Muslim and I am NOT religious. If a person do not agree with the pedophilic tendancy of the Pope, do not presume that this person is a Muslim or a religious person. Try to think outside the box of aliens imported religions. For you a human being can only be a Muslim or a Christian, or a religious person?. Well, I dont give a Damn about Islam, Christianity and all type of religious thinking, so if you want to protect your pedophilic Pope try to be more creative in your arguments, and dont be so narrowminded by believing that everybody on this planet is a religious or a christian or a muslim. Politics › Re: Critics Call For The Pope To Be Arrested by Horus(m): 12:55am On Apr 13, 2010
This is just the tip of the iceberg. The Vatican and the Christian doctrine is nothing less than a license to commit crimes. It tells them they can commit every kind of despicable act and sin, even as Christian priests, continue to sexually molest young boys and girls, as long as they repent just before they die and believe that Jesus already took all their sins away when he died 2,000 years ago. So blatant is their attitude about child intimacy abuse and molestation that these priests have named their place of living and molestation as a 'seminary' and a 'rectory', alluding unashamedly to the rectum and the depositing of their semen.
