All you need is a Facebook account and it's a good idea to build up your profile page there first, before creating a group, people will always look at the profile of someone first before deciding to join a group as it backs up the notion to join a related group. Then look for the + create a group button, this should be under application settings and once you have clicked to create a group you come to a page that helps to set up your group, the group name, group description and the groups category all are required so enter them there, but the rest on the form fields on that page are not inmportant such as email and city/town, just leave these blank. Click the blue button that says Create Group

I think you should give us their names and the reasons why you think they are bad web hosting providers. What bad experiences did you have with them?. We should do a review of all of them, this will avoid us to suffer the same desagreable experiences.

MTN will have to change if they dont want to lose their customers, there is already new comers on the market: They are Ghana’s Zain, Cote d’Ivoire’s GreeN, Kenya’s EKTL or Etisalat Misr in.

Computers › Re: I Need Laptop Badly by Horus(m): 2:41pm On Feb 10, 2010
There are certain things that you should consider before buying a used laptop. I hope the following tips help you avoid buying a used laptop that leaves you disappointed. Is the Keyboard Still Functional?. Unfortunately, if a laptop isn't properly taken care of, the keys will begin to stick. This is quite annoying. Also if the previous owner wasn't careful they could have completely broken some of the keys by typing too hard or getting frustrated and pounding on the keys. Simply using the computer frequently can damage the keyboard. When looking at a used laptop make sure the keyboard works. Is the Screen Scratched?. Not everyone is careful when it comes to electronics. Some people are able to damage electronics within weeks of getting them. Look at the screen very closely and make sure there aren't any scratches. Even if the scratch doesn't look like a big deal when the computer is turned off, the scratch could look much worse once the computer is turned on. Does the Screen Work at All?. Turn the laptop on and make sure the screen works. If the seller is reluctant to let you turn the computer on, walk away; he is obviously hiding something. The screen can become damaged in many different ways. The previous owner may have placed something heavy on top of the laptop, pushing the screen into the keys, damaging the screen. Or the previous owner may have even dropped the computer damaging not only the screen, but other components as well. What are the specifications?. How big is the hard drive?. Does the laptop have enough ram for the applications you will be using?. Is the computer too old? Before buying the computer, ask the seller what the specs are or open the laptop and look for yourself. You can find the information by right clicking on the my computer icon located on the desktop. Depending on the price the seller is charging, you may be able to buy a new laptop for the same price. Is a New Laptop Cheaper?. Computers are much cheaper than they used to be. Buying a used laptop is not always the best option. You may find that a new laptop has better specs that those of a used laptop and the price is the same, if not cheaper. Always be sure to check prices before deciding to buy a used laptop, a new laptop may be a lot cheaper.
Computers › Re: Trace This Ip Pls by Horus(m): 5:55am On Feb 10, 2010
This Email a Scam but now scammers cannot hide their ip from the Nigerian police or any government agency because of the threat of terrorism and hacking and criminal 419 activity. They can use some tricks to try to change it but with new softwares available to the police they will never be able to hide definitely their ip. You can hide it from websites you visit but with a bit of work and a little checking they can trace your ip address through proxies and other "ip hiding" software.
Computers › Re: Please Advise - Reliable Internet Provider For Home Use by Horus(m): 5:19am On Feb 09, 2010
lagerwhenindoubt:
I know this kind of request has littered NLSpace since 2005 but all i see people saying their option is the best and they can vouch for them. on the basis of this i have tried out and recommended several ISPs suggested on Nairaland with regrettable results.

Here are the ones I recommended for use Corporate and Home use with regrettable consequences

1: Accelon (Corporate) - Poor link speeds, false claims to available bandwidth/speeds and upgrade- scam (you upgrade and very little happens)
2: 21st Century (Corporate) - Inconsistent performance, quality slowly degrades over time and they blame the client for viruses or p2p programs (thereby putting your job at risk and making you look incompetent)
3: Hyperia (Corporate) - Inconsistent performance, quality slowly degrades over time and they blame the client for viruses or p2p programs (thereby putting your job at risk and making you look incompetent)
4: Linkserve (Home) - Poor link speeds, false claims to available bandwidth/speeds and upgrade- scam (you upgrade and very little happens)
5: Emperiom- Inconsistent performance, quality slowly degrades over time and they blame the client for viruses or p2p programs (thereby putting your job at risk and making you look incompetent)
6: Netcom VSAT (Corporate) - Expensive for the quality they give you and poor technical support/poor customer service and the performance slowly degrades as they ask you to upgrade to get better performance (not that you have more computers than when you started)
7: MTN (home) just too horrible to even consider (128/128 or 256/256) is all a big fat lie. NCC should look into ISPs that lie about what they can deliver
8: COBRANET (home) the Navini option used to be manageable, then they came with the UGO modems, now quality is all flushing down the toilet.

Please people, give me a recommendation because my competence is being called to question simply because ISPs lie about what they can deliver.

Please suggest internet provide for home use or else One Big Oga will recommend my Sack grin
The important issues to consider are: cost; performance; support; general tips; and how to lodge a complaint against an ISP. If we have a complaint against an ISP we should find out about nformations about how to lodge a complaint.

Connecting your laptop to the internet using your cell phone

Yes it is possible. Connecting your laptop to the internet using your cell phone can be surprisingly easy but only if you have the right phone, the right cell phone service provider, and a simple connection cable. To connect to the internet with a cell phone, you need a cell phone that is either Dual Mode or Tri Mode. To connect to the internet, you need a cell phone that works in digital format. A dual mode phone is all digital and operates on two digital networks (1900 MHz and 800 MHz). A tri mode phone works on the two digital bands, as well as on the analog network (800 MHz). Tri mode phones will provide the most connection options, but unless you live in an area where the service is only analog, dual mode phones will get the job done. Connecting with an analog only cell phone will be difficult, expensive, and painfully slow and not worth the effort. You need a phone who has a data port almost all newer cell phones have a data port which allows you to connect the cell phone to a number of devices including laptop computers. If your cell phone does not have a data port, you will not be able to use it to connect to your laptop or internet.

There is a lack of online payments option in Africa. We urgently need to create a common African e-payment system especially adapted to Africa market. This new African e-payment system can be an alternative to debit and credit card payment systems.

I suspect the US Baptist group to have connection with sexual-molesters. In Haiti, the issue of the Catholic's church, other religious orders and charity workers' sexually abusing Haitian children has barely been exposed. But it has gone on, with impunity, for centuries.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Saudi Throws Kenyan Maid Out Of Top Floor Window by Horus(m):
Arab racism toward blacks is rampant and it is time to solve this problem. Yet Africans continue to practice the religion of their Arab opressors and allow the Arab extermination of Blacks in Sudan and Mauritania, Arab racism and apartheid racism in Zanzibar and parts of East Africa, and Arab mischief in some of the wars in West Africa. The time has long past for Black Africans to realise that the Arabs will never respect Black Africans and will continue to use their henchmen in Sudan and elsewhere to continue the extermination of Black Africans so they can depopulate the continent of Blacks and occupy it, as they have done in Northern Africa. The Arabs  imposed enslavement and their religion and culture on blacks. Africans should avoid to go in Arabs countries.

Sports › Re: Togo Banned From 2012 And 2014 African Cup Of Nations by Horus(m): 2:39pm On Feb 01, 2010
The CAF's decision is really unfair because it is the CAF and the Angolan government who should have provided a police protection for the Togo team or an adequate information about security in Angola. Togo should be seeking legal action against CAF because if people died, it was the fault of the Angolan government and CAF; If you organise the Africa Cup you should provide at least a protection escort for the players. The players of Togo are not responsable of the shooting, they are the victims, so why should they pay by a heavy fine and a ban?

Foreign Affairs › Re: Why Is The Us Military Occupying Four Airports In Haiti? by Horus(m): 12:38pm On Jan 31, 2010
By reading somme comments here, I realise that many still dont know the history of Haiti. Americans are just in Haiti to create a military base, they are not here to help, they just pretend to help. We should remember that in 1910, the U.S. State Department-National City Bank of New York (now called Citibank) consortium looted all the gold reserves of the Banque National d'Haïti and its national treasury. Five years later, President Woodrow Wilson ordered American "troops" to occupy Haiti. From 1915 to 1934, the U.S. Marines imposed harsh military occupation, murdered thousands of Haitians patriots and diverted most of Haiti's gross domestic product to U.S. bankers. Haitians were banned from government jobs in their own country. Ambitious Haitians were hunted into the puppet military, setting the stage for a half-century of U.S.-backed military dictatorship. Previous to 1910 Haiti was called in french: Perle des Antilles,(Jewell of the Caribbean) because it was one of the most prosperous place in all of the Americas.
