bestbuyer:

Hello @HOTSTEPPER,
Pls can you help with accommodation rental for 1 bed or 2 bed at Brampton vicinity near Brampton Civic Hospital.
I was getting $60 to $350 per night offer only, that's lot for 60 days stay compared to your $800 to $1000 per month stay.
Pls i need to add the quote and reservation to my visa request next week.
Thanks and God bless as always.

for accommodation you can check out air bnb canada ; one can also search kijiji.ca and search under vacation rentals..This will give u an idea of how much rent is....possibly 800 to 1k dollars a month

bestbuyer:
Wow Virt!!!
Like i said before, you are such a wonderful e-friend.... You did pass the JAMB CBT ###LOL!

Thanks so much and God bless you and your family real good.

We will check all options carefully, either way, we will be at North America horizon.

@HOTSTEPPER: Pls can you help with apartment rates or other self service accommodation within BRAMPTON CIVIC HOSPITAL for MID AUGUST TO EARLY NOVEMBER (3 MONTHS).

@all......good morning......I just found this forum and will like to say a big weldone to everyone contributing towards helping others find their best options. I will like to seek your advice on this matter. Is it possible for an 8months pregnant lady to just start plans to make delivery in the U.S or CANADA? Which of these 2 options is the best according to chances of getting a visa. She is a student in Europe and has never been to the United States nor Canada before. Thank you in anticipation.

go with ur heart but make sure u use paper application

afroxyz:

My wife is already pregnant. About 2/3 weeks. I can't fill out the visa application for visitation and claim we want to also give birth there since we obviously filled the application after she got pregnant. Or rather is it possible to apply for visiting visa after she is pregnant and also indicate that we want to have our child there?

within 7 working days u will get the birth certificate

EmaShah2017:
Good day everyone. I have been a silent follower of this thread, I am now in Toronto where I'm booked for my C-section in 2 days. I have been reading on how to obtain the baby's paperwork. I know that people have gotten the baby's birth certificate in a week, but the info I found on ontario.ca says that we need to register the baby's birth first using the 4 in 1 bundle which takes around 6-8 weeks, then get the Birth certificate in another 15 days. I am very stressed about this as I have booked my return ticket in a month. Please I would really appreciate it if anyone can clear my confusion on this issue. Thanks a million

Fiwajoluwa:
Wow. Thank you for this info Hotstepper. Pls can i rent a car and drive myself as a preggo in Canada during my few months stay as its done in US. My host are workaholics who i do not plan to stress this time

Travel / Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 11:42pm On May 13, 2017
anytime the baby is grown say at 18 or 19 qnd comes bk go to school or live, his or her health card will be issued.

The reason why it is not been issued again is that it doesnt make sense that ppl who lives in the country and pay tax and then someone like u who doesnt live here or pay tax, ur child will now come and benefit. so it makes sense

Fiwajoluwa:
Thank you so much Virt. Very detailed and helpful. Pls did your baby get a health card after delivery and is that why you paid just $50 for check up after delivery. Thank you so much. I pray you come back to read this.

Congrats!

I dont have any experience with Visa so you have to try your luck. however, doing paper application instead of online will be faster and better for you.

Toronto or anywhere in the GTA will be better for you. 1 bedrom apartment can go for 1k dollars .

Good luck

Hi All, Hot stepper especially

I have read through a good part of this thread. Thanks a million to those who have shared their experiences and stories of people that they know.

I am about 3 months gone. Fresh passport but want to go have my baby in CA with my two kids and mum.

Please
1) how do i go about applying for all of us and can anyone provide an estimate of how much funds I need to have in order to secure our visas.

2) I also do not have any close relation to stay with so I most likely would have to rent an apartment for at least two months (one/two bed, depending on the cost) - Please advise on best location in terms of affordability, quality care and ease of mobility so I can make up my mind

Your prompt response will be greatly appreciated.

If this is the case, thats very bad of the woman. what is she going to gain from this? she would have told u that u cannot accomodate u.

I pray they pardon u and give u a go ahead.

Amiableada:
please i didnt state that my visa has expired. i was issued a visa april 2016 to expire 2020 which was my very first canadian visa . so i dont know where the talk of expired visa came out from now. the visa was revoked dec 28th 2016 after they had invited me to come for an interview on the 20th dec which i didnt see.they sent it to my profile but i didnt see it. i have all the details of the mails they sent and can post them here. i think they called me for the interview after they were informed i wanted to use the visa for somethin else probably they wanted to confirm the 'tip off' . and again whybwould they issue a visa, and call me back to come for an interview when i havent even used the visa for once?
Travel / Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 2:45pm On Feb 22, 2017
ur story is not adding up either.

how come you didny know ur visa has expired?
If you visa was still valid, why did they invite u for another interview

i personally dont think the lady has anything to gain, afterall she would still refuse u staying in her house

Amiableada:
good day everyone... i have been following this thread for a while now. thanks to hotstepper and every other person that contributes and all.God bless.I need opinions please. i got my canadian visa approved last year april, was planning on going during summer but couldnt cos of ticket fares so i decided to do it around feb or march this year as advised by my friend that works with BA that fares would have gone down a bit.Anyway the gist now is that i found out i was pregnant for my 4th after 9 weeks around september and now decided to use the visa for birthing purposes so i had to join this thread. i got a doctor through my host at calgary, discussed with him(nigerian doc). so i was good to go.alreday Dh and i had contacted a friend's elder sister who accepted to accomodate me since i was coming alone and she gave us the doc's contact. i left naija jan 21st through BA, arrived london to now check in to calgary and i was informed my visa has been revoked by canadian govt.I didnt believe it. so i went to my profile and saw they sent a mail asking me to come for an interview on the 20th of dec and was given only one week to appear but honestly i didnt see it and that same period i was in uk with my family on christmas vacation. I contacted them and they said i misrepresented during my visa application. my friend's fiance that lives in canada was of the opinion that someone must have contacted them that i wanted to use the visa for birthing purposes. now no one knew i was travelling to canada, not even my siblings or hubbys people.the only person that knew was the lady i was to stay with,my kids, my hubby and myself! when we called her to ask her if she contacted the authorites her answers were not adding up and she started avoiding us. now i wrote to canadian embassy asking why they revoked my visa, they have asked me to come for another interview in lag. i am heavy, i stay at abuja and havent decided yet.thats my story oh and i have learnt

Automatic citizenship us no more given to kids of Canadians botn outside of Canada.

If she happens to birth the child in Nigeria, they will do a proper sponsorship application

chibertha:
I believe your husbands status will even increase your chances of TEV after all even if you don't go there to put to birth your kids are still citizens if your husband was born there or aquired citizenship by naturalization before they were born see

[post=53156529]hmmm.... good day to all the gurus in the house, after 1 week I have finally finished reading page 0-42.

I'm 17 months pregnant and about applying for the Canadian TRV.

The thing now is my husband is a Canadian citizen but is based in Nigeria.

I don't have a travel history and I want to travel with my son who is 1yr and 3months old.

If I indicate my husband is a Canadian citizen will it reduce my chances of getting a TRV visa?

For those of you who were successfully issued visa, how long did you indicate you will be staying in your application?

She should have more thab 5k dollars with with
She should have a numbrr of tourist places
Have her siblings information....profession, place of work, home address and phone no
If possible let the sibling book appt with tthe family dr nd givr her thr family drs information

Good Day All,

I need your advice please.

My sister applied for a visiting visa to canada last year October, with the hope to travel early to give birth. she has just been granted the Visa and she is is 33weeks pregnant, the tummy is very visible.

I will appreciate any advice we can get on the best POE into Canada. she is going to stay with another sibling in Ontario. Since the Visa she has is for visit, what can she do to avoid being turned back at the POE?

Also, what's the best airline to fly from Nigeria? we currently have to decide between Luftansa & KLM, which will both stopover at Amsterdam. Has anyone gone through a similar route without issues?

thanks.

POE will ask u where u would intend to visit eap if u r coming with a vistors visa. So research about tourist placess in the city u will be in. TORONTO IS CN Tower, even Nigara Falls in the city of Niagara, aquarium etc

Virt:

Hi Pretty,

I don't seem to understand your question quite well. But from my little understanding of your question, I stated that I will be staying in Toronto.

Why is she waiting aprik to come? She needs to be in the country for 3 months before she can have access to health card. U meab she didnt even attend university in Canada?

Her delivery will be free with the health cars and other things associated with it like seeing the dr

If she does not have that health card, she will have to pay and be refunded back when she has her health card.

eGarage:
Hello House.

ATTENTION HOTSTEPPER

I have painstakingly read all but cant seem to find a good response to my own questions. Permit me to ask a few.

1. My Wife has a Canadian passport, but have been living in Nigeria all her life (So no tax payment so far). How do we go about getting her Health Card so she can have access to free health care when she returns for delivery.

2. What part of Canada is best for her delivery? Considering living cost and ease of movement. What is the estimated hospital bill too since she' a Citizen?

3. Baby is expected to arrive in August but we planned she travels first in April for necessary documentations. Would you recommend our decision?

NOTE: We have quite a number of Friends living in Canada already but we are not sure we want to stay with anyone for the birth processes.

Would await your response.

Thanks

The 3 documents u mentioned are a must....u must get the 3. How r u supposed to leave Canada with a Canadian born child without a passport?

rolorolo:
Hello All,

Trust all members are fine.

Please I need quick clarification in respect of baby's documents when born in Canada. Based on what I have read so far, mothers process the following documents for their babies when born i.e.

*Birth certificate
*Canadian passport and lastly,
*Nigerian Passport/Emergency Travel document.

My question, can I limit my baby's documents to these two? i.e. processing of birth certificate and Nigerian Passport/Emergency Travel document while i process the Canadian passport for baby once I get back to Nigeria via the Consulate Office in VI?

Mothers who have been previously opportune to birth and process documents for babies should please respond on their view

@ Hotstepper, kindly respond on your view as well. This question has never been raised in the group.

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.
1. Please what do you think about delivery fee in Toronto versus Alberta? Which is cheaper in general terms? I know for instance Houston offers cheaper hospitals compare to some other states in the US. For Canada, What is it like? And is there any advantage of one over the other?
2. Also during my visa application i stated tourism, should I write the embassy now indicating I intend to birth with the visa or just state my purpose at POE? Pls tell me what you think.

Thanks again as I await your response. [/quote]
