I believe that one's relationship with God is strictly personal. While there are general sins that believers shouldn't indulge in, there are also activities that aren't considered to be wrong, but could hinder that relationship if done out of control.

For example, watching a football game isn't a sin in itself, but when it becomes a part of you and threatens God's place in your life, then it becomes a sin to you [as an individual].

Therefore as believers, we need to watch the things we do and seek the Holy spirit's guidance for each step we take. If you are not convinced that sports betting is wrong, you should prayerfully search the scriptures about it and ask God to reveal the truth to you.
