If whatever decisions that will be taken at the SNC will still be refered back to the national assembly, then the whole thing will be a waste of time and no credible nigerian should attend. As for APC, they are entitled to their opinion, they were not invited any way. its better to jaw-jaw than to war-war |
I must confess that i am disappointed at the way people are viewing this issue with tribal lenses, if an igbo man is caught red handed in corruption igbos rise up to his defence, if it is a hausa woman nko?, the same, the Yorubas are not left behind, yet we want to develop, with this issue, i dare say that Nigeria has just negotiated a dangerous bend that might bring this country to his knees. Its a pity. |
Lateef Jakande and Nuhu Ribadu are the only people on that list i can vouch for. by the way Lateef Jaknde deserves to be canonized, he almost single handedly developed lagos to its enviable state in just 4 years, does any one know of his numeous housing estates from isolo to ojo to ogba to badagry , iba, lekki etc. what about Lasu, general hospital ikeja, Ltv govt secretariat Alausa, 60% of public pry and secondary schools in lagos and many more in just 4 years under very austere conditions without borrowing a kobo. The man left government house very poor. It disturbs me when people heap unnecessary praises on Fashola, to even maintain those infrastructure s remain a problem to him. |
DaLover: Yet but oil contributes more than 80%OIL DOES NOT CONTRIBUTE MORE THAN 80% PERCENT TO TOTAL REVENUE, IT ONLY CONTRIBUTES OVER 80% TO NIGERIA'S FOREIGN EXCHANGE EARNINGS. RECEIPTS FROM NON OIL SOURCES WAS MORE THAN OIL REVENUE IN THE YEAR 2012. PLEASE CONSULT GOOGLE FOR MORE INFO. |
[quote author=solihu] You may like to take a peep at Luke 19 : 27. International Version (NIV)27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.[/quote why do you people quote that passage without reading the whole chapter, that was a parable for God' sake, those were not the words of Jesus, they were the words of the king in the story that jesus was telling. if I quote Gej for instance, does that mean those are my words? haba. Jesus told xtians without mincing words never to be violent even in the face of extreme provocation. thats the reason xtians are not throwing bombs all over the place. |
i have always believed that GEJ will be re-elected in 2015, not because of its performance or political sagacity but because the opposition will again make him look like a saint, when compared to them. |

solomon111: Oil-magnate indeed.jealousy, while you people keep boasting that you re the best in everything south western people keep showing the world their prowess and you call them corrupt. How many people in the so called most enterprising people in the world are in the Forbes list of top five richest nigerians? how many people from the most educated people in the world have won a nobel prize in anything? when did the first international flight land in the most developed region in the world? empty chest beaters. |
while it is indeed true that the SS and SE are the people who are most vocal about separation, the SW have proven time and again that they are the most prepared for such eventuality. They hardly leave their region and the pan yoruba spirit is quite strong. The yorubas are only wise enough to realise that going it alone is very risky and complex. i am 100% sure that a yoruba man will not raise a finger to stop the disintegration of this nation called Nigeria. Our support for one Nigeria has inflicted pains and misery on our people. |
Mourinho will soon sign this guy........ just wait and see. |
The Niger Delta issue is an internal problem and only fiscal federalism coupled with disciplined administrators with the interest of the people at heart will solve it. |
ichidodo: Haven't you heard? That non-yoruba southerners are responsible for at least 45% of the GDP of Lagos and are indirectly responsible for the remainin %.Now imagine a shift in the location of these folks and the subsequent erosion of the GDP in lagos and economy of the south west in general as a result.Think about consequent chaos, anarchy and gnashin of yoruba teeth. Now i understand the fears of the yorubas, they are starin at OWU breeze (economic depression and poverty).Lagos will quickly revert to a sleepy yoruba village.Calabar, Port-harcourt and other coastal towns will quickly gain from these transfer of people and resources; Thus empowering the Ss and Se regions into confluences of prosperity just like UAE and DUBAI.The earlier you make good your threat the better. South west people were not crying before you people arrived in droves like refugees, it was infact the tales of prosperity and advancement you heard about the west that attracted you people like ants to sugar, when you go we ll replace you people very fast with foreign entrepreneurs. |
PapaBrowne: Suddenly, the grand proponents of SNC are shying away from it. Hypocrisy is a disease.please I like to make a plea, please try to separate the south west people from APC goons not every yoruba man is a tinubu slave. please take note. Thank you. |
I support SNC whole heartedly, this nation needs retooling if it must develop. And speaking frankly there is no need to be afraid of separation with the declining fortunes of oil in the world market there is need for a total revamp of the nation's economy, if we dony do this now, we might live to regret it. |
This Amaechi case is becoming very ridiculous..... he keeps crying wolf when there is none and he seems to be getting more sympathisers every day. Any way ............ first to comment. |

now this is taking mediocrity to ridiculous levels. 1st international flight in the east in the 21st century? and people are dancing around? please tell me I am dreaming? can some one remind me of the day and time of the first international flight in the west? when ffk uses this as an example of how far ahead the west is compared to the east then you guys will start attacking him right? hmmmm some news are best hidden. imagine an american or even a beninoise hearing that people are dancing around celebrating a first international flight in the 21st century. in fact we have suffered in Naija. |
WOW. My hope in Nigerians have just be restored. so we can we have healthy economic debates without ethnic bashing? this is very nice. Please lets keep it up, it might take a long time, but we will surely fix this country, the first step is identifying the roots of all our problems which we are currently doing. kudos guys.... thumps up. |
