rayralph: I might have to disagree with you on this. Look at the following real life instances.
1. Mr A couldn’t complete his SIA application until he presented “police character certificate”
2. Miss T was asked to produce a police character certificate before she can complete her NHS onboarding/documentation process.
3. Police character certificate is one of the core documents needed by a certain mental health agency before you can start working with them. Well, you could be right 99% of the time though, without UK DBS, you are just wasting your time Btw, do you know a lot about SIA certs? |

lightnlife: You can retain your number with a new provider.
Read up about Number Porting (PAC).
Your plan on the old network won't work on the new. But your standing orders on the number will still apply. Yes I know about the PAC.. since my old plan won't work, I'll just wait until it expires Thanks! |

Come to think of it most times those people who collect miney for closer date are just hustlers. They just sit there and keep refreshing and do all sorts of tricks to get closer date. 50k for iom cert is for what exactly? The leaders of a country = a reflection of its people .. Can I report previous ones? Or it's the day I sign up that it starts to read And does a rent payment delay of 3 - 4 days impact negatively |

onecoder: I think sim only contract from O2 will help Also, getting UK driving license too ( I've heard a few number of people ask If I had one) I think the essence of this scoring system is to show you're credible not necessarily about your bank balance.
I've had water bill addressed to me because the water company found out I live in the apartment based on credit reports. (My landlord does not live the apartment, so no one replies the water company) Yes the sim only contract will help I just would like to retain my old number hence the reason for asking about the plan I might just wait until the plan expires before migrating Many thanks |

Also try to have your name added to one or all of your bills if you haven't already, plus use your overdraft facility if you have one and you'll be fine. Thanks! I'm currently on lebara, if I move to O2, will my current plan move there? I am currently on one unlimited plan like that Does the overdraft help in any way? |

Romoller: I think this credit thing is very important, a bro who is a Dr here wants to get house on mortgage and was told his credit is bad despite the fact that he buys and pays everything with his debit card. Mortgage guy called him to get a credit card and start using it,according to him as I don’t know how true that is,,I think that thing is very important abroad unlike in Nigeria where we buy everything in cash. Yes its important Need to get a CC also along the line but i dont think im financially mature for it yet hence the other soft options |

Emmyk: If they all report to credit agencies, I think you can combine all. Lol. Klana also started reported to credit agencies at the start of this month. Yes they all do Yeah, Klana has just started too PayPal actually warned me that they report to credit agencies. Monese's programme is to do help with credit so they report to the agencies. I just would like tok know which is faster and maybe better in the long run so i wont just be doing the same thing in different places |

While some people are passing on generational wealth to their kids, others are passing on looting techniques . This same people go to parties with a big bacco bag , place it underneath the table and start pillling the jack daniels and other drinks meant for everyone one on the table into the bag. Without a care in the world. Too sad. Country hard! |

Hello My Ogas
I have a question
To build up credit without going the CC way, which one is the most advisable or the best option to speed it up
- Buying and paying items using PayPal credit (3 times payments) - Changing from maybe Lebara to O2 contract plan - Using the Monese credit builder option for 1 year (costs around 7GBP per month)
Kindly advise
Thanks! |

TheGuyFromHR: I don't use Monzo, so I can't say if it's signed up to the CRM Code. You could check their FAQs on their app if they have those or just google. However, Monzo, Chase and Starling are full banks, unlike Revolut and TransferWise, which specifically do not offer banking services.
Also remember that just because they have signed up to the refund-in-the-event-of-fraud code, it doesn't mean that all banks will refund scammed customers in all cases, and something that might fly with one bank might not with another. Customers have to also do their own reasonable due diligence. Thanks |

TheGuyFromHR: Revolut isnt a bank, and I dont think it has signed up to the voluntary fraud protection scheme some UK banks have signed up to which is what enables them to refund money when people are scammed. All UK banks are generally equal in terms of services offered to depositors. Does this apply to Monzo too? I am thinking of sticking to the regular chase for work related payments and then transfer to Monzo, Monese etc for petty spending |

hallelluyah: Does a Canadian Visa refusal and BAN affect UK student visa application.
Please advise: a friend got Canadian Student visa refusal due to Insufficient Funding in 2011 and also got Canadian BAN in 2012 for using fraudulent Account statement. The ban was for 2 years which expired in 2014.
Now, he is currently processing UK student visa and doesn't know how this history would make or mar his UK Students Visa application he's currently processing.
Should he declare the refusal and the ban for the 2011 and 2012 respectively or he should only declare the refusal in 2011 alone or kuku make the two as refusals and be silent about the ban?
Please he's seriously worried and needs your advice or direction. He should declare all bans and refusals or else e go chop another one from UK Seen this at least twice and administrative review wont help to overturn the denial and possible ban |

khasm: Doesn’t really matter ke! Letter that was addressed to immigration i think, not sure now. I will have to double check, the letter is not addressed to the owner of the visa, its only issued to you to show as a pass. As a student, only your visa will take you out of naija, but its not the only doc that will admit into the UK. Ill suggest you write to ukvi and explain your ordeal and print whatever response. Better to play safe Saw you sent a PM We have never had any conversation on NL Any issues? |
