Sampdoria 2 Milan 1(Conceded a last minute of extra time winner)

Scudetto Chance is gone now, so all that is left to do is to start the rebuilding process for next season.
I also think we should be more worried about keeping our Champions League spot. Loosing out on champs lge revenue will be nothing short of Disastrous.
My Scudetto hopes have been long gone. My prayer now is that we finish 3rd and that Palermo dont overtake us. Hopefully Roma will win it cuz they deserve it more than us. Any team but Inter again sha.

Lets hope Berlusconi can splash d cash in d summer on quality signings and not defenders like Mario Yepes yet again.

And that Leonardo stays

Congrats to Bayern. They scrapped thorugh exactly the same way against Fiorentina. Dat sore loser Fergie has been on about "typical germans". Why cant people just accept defeat without complaining about the "ifs"??

But for real Lahm and Badtsuber really fall my hand for that game. They were being roasted like chickens time and time again. That Bayern defence, how they have survived to the semis, na God o.

But well deserved victory sha.

There were several key mistakes in this game and

1) Bayerns first goal. When Ribery was upended in the box, He blew the whistle too early because Gomez scored the rebound. This is not a talking point because Robben scored the penalty if he had missed it woulda been different

2) Gobbis red card. Gobbi appeared like he raised his elbow typical serie A style and was shown a straight red. That was the linesman who saw it.

3) Kloses goal was undisputably offside but again its the linesmans job to point it out which he didnt.

Ovbredo is wack but his linesmen didnt also help him at all

You know how easy it is to sit back and hit back on counter? Now Fiorentina have to score in Florence and would be exposed on the counter.
Also thank God for Mutu's drug habit
Totally agree with that. The Linesman was the real culprit yesterday, But u guys will suffer at the Artemio Franchi. Jovetic,Gilardino,Vargas and Marchionni will be hard to contain. Trust me on that.

Lets take away Nesta;s goals. He really is back to being the very best defender int he world.

Without Question.

Where is this new belief coming from. This fight back spirit was hardly seen in our team in the Ancelotti days.

Kudos to Leonardo.

Good Second Half Display by the team. Really surprised me as i was expecting nothing more than a draw.

In truth i guess Madrid paid for being a little too cautious and trying to play at our pace.

We all saw the problems Drenthe caused us with his pace when he came on. Not to take anything away from the boys, Pato was brilliant on the night . He is the best young player in the world. Nesta is back to his usual standards. Our fullbacks are still dead though and Dida is still awful.

Kudos to Leonardo for not playing ultra defensive football unlike Ancelotti.

Looking forward to the game away to Chievo on Sunday night.

Ferrara doesnt seem to like Giovinco that much, find below Bilds starting lineup prediction

Buffon- Zebina, Chellini, Leggrotaglie, Grosso- Melo, Camoranesi, Marchisio- Diego- Trezeguet, Iaquinta
I dont think it's q question of not liking Giovinco. Diego has more class than the atomic ant. Diego is more decisive. Gio has the pace, the dribbling skill but it goes beyond that now in modern football.

One player who has not been given much praise this season in the Juve squad has been CLaudio Marchisio without a doubt. The guy has shown he is an all round complete midfield player.Contributes effectively in offence and defence and is a good addition to the squad. I wonder how Sissoko will get his place back when he comes from injury.

The game tonite will be tough.I expect Juve to play a defensive game and try to use Camo,Diego and Iaquinta on the break. It's too close to call.

I predict a 2-2 draw.

Capello still remains the best manager ever regardless of what anyone thinks, yall can argue the topic till enternity if you like

but that still wouldn't change the fact that Capello has always been a winner at every club he has managed, and he doesn't have

to go 3 or 4 season's without winning a major trophy
End of Story. Fabio Capello, As far as i am concerned, even though i do not like his very strict style of managing has always been the best manager ever in my eyes from when he left the shores of italy to guide Madrid to success in 97/98 to when he came back and transformed Roma to Scudetto winners in 2001 and when he went back to Madrid to guide them to success in 07 after yrs of no silverware.

Lets leave out the numerous continental and domestic honours he won with Milan and Juventus.

The only reason i will hate him is if England win the world cup under him. He has always won wherever he has been. I pray he doesnt have that success with England otherwise we no go hear word for 10 years.

I think he is trying to tell Leonardo that he is a proven goal scorer and he might try him in the Milan attack
LOL. That statement had me laffing freal. Beyond that, the italian performance on the night was nothing to write home about and it is difficult to believe they won the world cup 2 yrs ago with the same coach.

Age and retirement has robbed them of some very good players. And the decision of the coach to leave out the best italian attacker at the moment, in Cassano, may just come back to haunt him.

I wonder why ppl are still blaming th average age of the Milan team as the cause of ther problems. What really is the average age of other teams. Inter have starters in Zanetti, 36, Lucio 31, Samuel,33,Milito 30,Vieira 33,. Milan's age is not the problem but the fact that the team doesnt possess depth at the moment and is still in transition.

Even tho i wish we can snap up the available Spaletti later in the season if the Leonardo experiment fails. But let's give him his chance. Capello and Guardiola have proven to be "inexperienced" successes. Leonardo's might just work out.

You cant dispute the fact that Lehmann has the experience of a top class goalkeeper same with VDS
Only if you are saying it's an experience of being error ridden and fumbling of the highest order.

Are we talking about the same player. I mean the one that fumbled at Milan,Dortmund,Arsenal and somehow got a german shirt ahead of Oliver Kahn.

At the time Gourcuff was sold, they hadn't really made up their minds on whether to let Kaka go or not.Coupled with the fact that the player had his reputation knocked by Ancelotti concerning his behaviour on and off the pitch. It was a very terrible decision.I'm sure they would be regretting that decision now.

I dont support Barca though i enjoy watching them play. Everyone does.

Berlusconi says the club is in debt and cannot afford expensive players but he can afford expensive necklaces for his teenage girlfriends. The guy is losing it and his comments in recent times have been reckless.

But he has brought us this far sha. So we still have to be grateful.

Hustler,

With the kain team Milan is parading one can almost say for certain that Inter would win easily again.

See what a Bayern without Ribery, Toni and Klose did to them

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzDuLIGQVhw
You have to agree that we were too dependent on Kaka and have not replaced him effectively He is irreplaceable though but a Luis Fabiano or a Lavezzi would do for me plus a fullback who can play both sides and is very quick and another attacking midfielder.

With Maldini gone, the defence looks in shambles tho i believe in Silva. Nesta is not really in form yet neither is Gattuso. But this is just pre season and Milan hardly do well in pre season.

The league would be b/w Inter and Juve though. It will take a miracle for Milan to mount a serious challenge.

But i believe in MIRACLESSS,

No need to drag this argument any further, cuz i know with you we could argue on this for weeks (lol)

Lets leave it at that for now and wait to see how Ibra performs in his first 2 seasons. Against big and small teams.First Round, Secound Round, 100th round of the UCL.

It's just that it has become obvious that many people who have castigated Ibra on Nairaland are those that have not had the opportunity of seeing him play on a regular basis. At most they read about him on Complete Sports (lol) or watch some highlights on Goalissimo. At least the La Liga has a wider coverage than the serie a in Nigeria especially the big teams.

And Please the downturn in serie a is only temporary and should start to subside this coming season. Watch out for a competitive Juventus and Inter will be firing all cylinders too cuz Mourinho knows he has to perform or get sacked.Milan, well it will take a miracle from what i've seen in our pre season, but we do have some exciting world class talent. Two great champions have left (kaka,Ibra) two others have arrived (Eto'o, Diego) Javier Pastore in the making. Many more are still in serie a but are spread to many other average teams, Lavezzi,Hamsik,Cassano e.t.c unlike the premiership where it is concentrated in the top 4,

Serie A will come alive again this season, U just watch.

Our financial problems are really hitting our chances of getting top quality players to the team which will hamper our chances of doing well next season.

It seems we are close to Giussepe Rossi. But is the right manhuh we needed a player like Fabiano,Klass Jan or even Lavezzi as part of the 3 man attack.

Adriano thought he was fooling fans when he said the books were alright with Kaka's sale. But where are the quality players. I'm afraid for our future next season and beyond, but i draw confidence from what Berlusconi has done to the team over the years. They have always been shaming critics, Right?

Like i've been saying for some time now, lets wait and see. Ibra did it almost by himself at Inter. When you look at the telepathic partnerships he had with players there, it was almost non-existent, save for Maicon on rare occassions.

Now surrounded by Xavi,Iniesta,Messi and Henry, somebody is insinuating that he will flop. Time will tell. Looking at his early Serie A career. we can say that he didn't really kick off his goal scoring exploits with consistency but he won best serie a foreign footballer in his first season when he netted 16 goals,

His quality and all round play was enough for Capello to send Del Piero to the bench for the most part as he preferred pairing Ibra and Trez whenever Trez was available. His assists record tells the rest of the story and his goal against Roma away when he practically ruined Kuffour's career summarizes his season for me in 06.

15 goals,17 goals and then 25 goals in his 3 seasons at Inter sure shows progression and his development into a prolific goal scorer and the standard of a number of his goals were of the highest quality.

Say what you want , i have no doubt Ibra will shame his critics while playing at Barca. Some body said he didnt know what Ibra would add to Barca that they didnt have with Eto. If you watch the games against Chelsea and Man u carefully   in 2009 and 2008 semi final UCL respectively  u would understand what he would add to the team.

YES in the big games he has flopped big time, however if he continues this trend at Barca with the quality of players he is surrounded by now, i will be the first to admit that i know not a thing about football.

Ibra carried Inter alone at his time there and it was practically a one man team. Come on the guy deserves plaudits for what he did there particularly. At Barca he now has the chance to win more titles, score more goals and win higher accolades ( Ballon D'or on the horizon). He knows this.

Ibrahimovic passes Barca medical
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has passed a medical with Barcelona to move a step nearer the completion of his transfer from Internazionale.
Barca pointed out the Swedish striker had fractured a bone in his left hand during Inter's recent friendly against Chelsea, and that treatment would be necessary.
Ibrahimovic is set to sign a five-year contract and to be presented in the Nou Camp on Monday evening, completing a complicated swap deal which involves Cameroon forward Samuel Eto'o going in the opposite direction.
Eto'o flew to Milan earlier in the day to take his medical.
Barca are also reported to be paying fee of around 45 million euros (£38.8m) and loaning Belarus midfielder Aleksandr Hleb to the Serie A side.

The deal of the summer without a doubt and the most intriguing deal in world football so far.

Who's got the best deal. On paper it seems like it's Inter. 43.5 million plus Eto'o and Hleb on loan eventhough Barca will continue paying 70% of his wages. If you add the 35MM  Man City were bidding for Samuel earlier then it would seem Inter have really got the best deal. At least from a financial point of view.

Footballing wise, i'm not too sure how Eto'o will complement Milito. seeing that Diego Milito really flourishes as being the focal point of the attack. alone upfront.Eto'o will just have to slot in behind him some how however, Mou will want to utilize his 4-3-3 formation. Balotelli will slot in on the right. Can Eto'o really give his best cutting in from the lefthuh It remains to be seen and time will tell. Coupled with the fact that there arent many creative players at Inter that can pass the ball like Xavi, Iniesta et al.

I think Barca made the better move from a footballing point of view. I was earlier clamouring for them to get Dani Guiza to give them the height they needed in attack. But they got something way better. Somebody who is technically gifted, has aerial power, strength, tremendous vision, an eye for goal, towering presence, dribbling skills. Infact some one I regard as the best striker in the world presently.

La Liga, we present to you ZLATAN IBRACADABRA!!!!!!!

For those that have been saying Ibra this in big games, ibra that in small games, lets see what the presence of Xavi (in particular), Iniesta,Messi,Henry will contribute to his game. The first season will be too early to judge, but we'll be watching nonetheless.

From a Die Hard Ibra Fan.
