Thank you so much for your help.
Yes I’ve been selected for the job also when filling the form they ask details of landlord, name phone number etc. The place I’m staying was rented for me by my in-laws and my name did appear on the contract don’t know if that’s an issue

" Did or Didn't appear"? I took your statement to be DIDN'T.

I don't think that should be much of a problem.

You can input the stated address, and for landlord put the details of your in-law and let them know it isn't a rented apartment by you but you are staying with a relative.

Please do we have anyone who have switched skilled worker visa or changed employment before .

Please urgent reply needed.

Thank you for your time.

You don't need to write HO. Also, just fill the forms given to you as honest as possible because they will verify every details! Don't be scared to state exactly how things are. I don't think there should be an issue as long as you have passed the interview stage and already selected fir the job. All the best.

Please does anyone know it the baggage allocation for BAs hand luggage is 23Kg also

2 x 23KG for regular bags and

Hand luggage - 23Kg

Just want to be sure

I don't think it is up to 23kg. Although, they pay more attention on the size and dimension of the bag or box. Typically should be around 7-10kg.

They now use Airbus. Flew with them Dec/Jan. @OP, Although, my flight was delayed for about 12hours and further delay at Casablanca (I will consider it a one-off). However, if you are not flying direct , RAM is your best option considering cost and duration.
The only issue is they still use the regular 737 which is quite small and not so comfortable for such long trip. But I didn't complain because I got what I paid for grin grin[/quote]

Oh really. A colleague mentioned Lloyd can block your account if you try to access it from Africa.

Strange though. I have used only Revolut and Monzo outside the UK. I never experienced any issues. It's possible his bank has some requirements or procedures to be performed before you can operate outside the UK. He should check with them.

My people please how long does dependent visa takes to be approved
I applied on 12th April and just received my BRP today (didn't receive any approval mail though).

I am also the MA. Not sure if MA or dependant will have much impact on the timeframe (except health/care workers visa).

It was also a standard application.

Please is anyone living or have any information about south Wales . In terms of cost of living and job opportunities.
Where exactly in South Wales?

Cardiff? - cost of living is fair for a capital city but I find it a bit pricy for a small city of that size (my personal opinion though).

Newport is cheaper, located between Cardiff and Bristol. So you can live in Newport and work in any of the 2 cities.

In terms of work, I don't have first hand info on that but shouldn't be bad.... your work experience matters too though.

Others, will contribute.

Who wud give you a house without work reference and guarantor. It’s not jus to have the money here you get a house. They have to go through your application before they decide. And with the number of pple you want pack come it wud be very difficult to get a house. Even Airbnb will be hard and expensive to get with this number.

I know several pple that came in since Feb with 2-3 kids and it took them up to 2 months to get a place after paying so much on Airbnb except the lucky ones with family members here who had to put up with them. Up till now sef some neva still get.

For your sanity better the MA come alone, settle down, look for a place before others come.

Nice. Thanks for the comment. The family don book ticket already. Na Airbnb be the best option as it is.

They might be lucky to get a LL to receive 6months upfront. Thanks for your contribution.

Thank you very much for your response. He is yet to get COS. He wanted all his documents to be complete first. Is it possible for him to get COS now and then do IELTS just before he applies for visa?
Most employers/sponsors will want to ensure you have all your necessary documents ready/available before they go ahead to issue the CoS.

Please, has anyone changed sponsor recently or applied for a new visa within the UK?

How long did it take for them to make a decision? I just want to know the timeline and assess if dey don't have a long waiting list so one can consider priority service.

Please, can anyone help with this?

Hello,

Is it possible for someone on a dependent visa to be outside the UK for more than 6 months? What is the consequence for staying outside the UK for more than 6 months. Will the person be denied entry by the immigration officers?

Thanks bro.

I will talk to them and see how it goes.

It's the sponsorship that attracted me.

From my quick research, If the location is London, you should be negotiating for £53k to £56k. For other locations, £50k to £53k should be ok. IT audit is specialised audit and is usually reflected in the pay. I believe the prospective employer have their pay structure but since they have given you the go ahead to research, these figures are ok. I know that feeling of working somewhere and you find out you are underpaid compared to your peers!

Elders, I'm back again.

I have about 7 years of experience in cybersecurity and the company willing to sponsor says remuneration is within 30-40k per annum for Assistant Manager role. They asked how much I'm willing to accept that I should make research and get back.

Please for this role, what's the remuneration like? Thank you.

What location is this? Is it one of the BIG4 firms? the pay is very low TBH. if you lemme know your location I can help you confirm what your pay band should be most likely.

No you don’t need to.

When you filled it out, what statement did you tick?

Have you got any other source of income or at any time, did you have more than one job?

If this is your only job, you need to phone HMRC and let them know. Your employer can’t do much as they can only change your code once they get a notification from HMRC.

No other source of income. I will keep calling them. I initially took a break because dey assured me it would be resolved by October. I have to resume the chasing.

Amen, you are most welcome.

Ask your employer to give you a P46 form to fill out or phone HMRC and give them your new Employers paye reference. Tell them that this is your only and main job. They should be able to rectify it immediately. These days payroll is done in real-time so you don’t have to wait till the end of the year to get your tax code adjusted.

I can remember filling the P46 form when I joined. I was initially on the correct tax code. However, in April (new tax year) it changed to BR. Do I have to do the P46 again?
